  1. unplug 3 injectors and set how it runs lol, not ideal at all u will be lucky if it runs at all
  2. +1, it looks awesome, this will sell very very quick i reckon, once i fix my car (waiting on parts) and sell it im praying this car is still for sale and ill be coming over from Perth, its definately what im after. I doubt it will be around that long though unfortunately good luck on the sale, i know how much all those mods would have cost and this isnt much more than all these stock engined r32 gtr's, well worth it how is the overall condition body/paint and interior wise?
  3. i got my ati balancer from mark at godzilla motorsport, great price for a 1000hp one, though it was 2+ years ago now so i dont know what they worth now.
  4. a few weeks back there was a s15 for sale on here with a 26/30 and running gtr 4wd driveline, maybe have a search and send him a PM, it was a full on showcar and about 70k worth
  5. yep ever since the first pump issue, i have installed an ATI balancer and no dramas
  6. I had a brand new JUN oil pump on my engine, it had done 1000km run in with 4000rpm limiter and then a dyno tune of about 60km or so, i took it out and gave it a couple of good runs after the tune and noticed oil pressure dropping slowly, i pulled the motor the next day expecting the oil pump backing plate screws to have come loose and we pulled the plate off and the inner gear like Guilt Toys one was split in 2 pieces. We found the harmonic balancer bolt had come loose and the balancer was sliding up and down the crank nose (jun 2.7L crank) and welded itself to it from getting sooo hot. Im very very lucky we checked that pump gear on i could have wrecked a very very expensive bottom end in a short period of time. ive had another jun pump on the motor for a long time and no issues, but we make sure we put a heap of loctite on that balancer bolt.
  7. fair enough, mine is a Jun 2.7L bottom end, i find it goes well, im sure the added weight over a gtr is killing my times though but i like to have something different
  8. if u are talking 800hp at the engine then its a different story though gearbox options are still the main issue for drivability. my stagea makes 560hp at wheels (t04z on only 18psi and pump fuel) and has ran 11.33 at 125mph, thats full weight, 2 sunroofs and full tank of fuel (around 1720kg + driver) definately got more in it down the track at same power as i had some misfiring issues, the weight doesnt help but u just need more power. Im looking to run a 10 before i give up on the stagea race fuel and 25psi+ should make around the 640-650hp at wheels mark. if he can only manage mid 11s on 650hp at wheels the dyno is wayyy out or he needs to abuse the car abit more down the strip lol, i assume this is Simon (Pure Methaphetamachine) or whatever his username is?
  9. i'd budget 50k+ easy and good luck with the gearbox with 800hp, ppg box ($15 000) or holinger box ($20 000+) is one part u will need and trust me i have a dogbox and its not a daily driver gearbox, i think u will need to upgrade every single driveline part and engine part to do this and i dont think u will ever get a 800hp daily driver, little own one thats reliable. have u ever been in a 800hp skyline? i dont think comparing a 500hp engine to a 800hp is even close either, its about 3 times the dollars and parts, and prepare for regular rebuilds if u are thinking of using 800hp everyday. The car will be slow on the street unless your doing 120kmh+, i have 600hp and the lag isnt ideal at all for a street car, plenty of 500hp cars will beat me if im not in the right gear and rpm range. i thought the same as u when i built mine that 600hp could be a daily driver car and it aint ideal. I think the only thing a 800hp car is good for is dyno and thats it. im assuming u mean 800awhp as well, or are u talking 800hp at the engine? i also replied in your other thread with more info if this doesnt phase you then good luck also your stagea is the hottest one ive ever seen in my life
  10. hey mate, if your talking 800hp at the wheels then i dont know how long a rb25 block will hold up and i'd be looking at a rb26 n1 block for that power, also 260 degree cams are abit small, u would be expecting 272 and around 10.5mm lift for that power. Bolting a 800hp turbo on doesnt mean u will make 800hp either, u will need the 1000hp one for 800rwhp. u will need a ati balancer, jun/tomei oil pump, n1 water pump if your gonna rev it alot, rear head oil drain, massive 10L baffled sump and every other possible mod for a rb engine to push that power. if your talking 800hp at engine then u still need most of that stuff but it will be much easier to achieve, thats why every gtr with a t51r isnt making that sort of power, its more than the sum of the parts to push those figures. You will also need to run it on race fuel if your planning on a reliable 800hp. The gearbox will be useless and u either need a 20k holinger or ppg dogbox (around 15k all up), diff will not be so good either, also axles/unijoints need to be upgraded, gtr stuff at a minimum. brake upgrade also is a good idea trust me there is alot more to upgrade than just the engine if u want that sort of power, driveline wont last 5 min as it is.
  11. thanks Neil, the box isnt the stock one anymore, i put something abit stronger in and it wont break anytime soon i should think
  12. hey guys i did a quick search in this section but couldnt find any relative info, i have found a r32 4 door for sale and plan on throwing my rb26 and gtr gearbox in with a modified tf case as a track thrasher im just wondering with the the tailshaft are the 4 door and gtr models the same length? will a 32 gtr tailshaft fit straight up? does a gtr diff/axles/cradle bolt straight in the rear end as well? is the stock diff and axles decent sized and will cop punishment from a fairly decent powered rb26 (500rwhp)? how much more does the 4 door weigh over a 2 door model? thanks
  13. i didnt have any videos of the runs but here is some motion pics of the 11.33 run, i started slow compared to the other car but killed him at the top end and caught up, i ran 16mph quicker but he did a 10.7. I'm assuming his was auto and on slicks.
  14. they definately held on by some clips ill take a pic of one tommorow if i remember, they slip under the window seal and i think double sided tape might be used as well.
  15. i guess know one can say he should do a search lol :laughing-smiley-014:
  16. the car was in 4wd all day at drags and traction was still a major issue in 1st and 2nd gear i am thinking of fitting up some r comp tyres or nittos, etc for next drag runs to help it along quicker. Yes i seen that Magna wagon, how did it get home in the end? Ztuned yes thats the engine bay
  17. lol ive noticed exactly the same thing at BP around here as well (Perth)
  18. top work on the build and good luck with it all, i hope u enjoy the haltech ecu
  19. thanks for all the kind words everyone thanks Paul (DirtGarage) i have already been told i need a tailshaft loop, 4 point harness, battery isolator switch and ANDRA license before i can race again. I dont know how far i wanna go yet, i have plenty more left in the engine and alot of people laughed when i said im aiming for 10s in it, its my main goal for the car then im 90% set on putting the motor into a 32 gtr to do more track work and drags, i dont think the stagea will cop a full rollcage so ill only get one go at a 10 before im banned i wasnt really a huge fan of draging the car and thought it would be rather boring once i do a time but i really enjoyed it thanks for the pics too dodgsun
  20. sorry to hear Neil, i was looking forward to another stagea (its only me and Daniel at moment) with some go fast goodies in Perth
  21. lol yes sleeper is the way i like it, the strutineering bloke was like "WTF" when i opened the bonnet, he loved it and had heaps of interest with the car all day from people wondering why it was so quick
  22. thanks, its been on and off the road for 3 years now lol, had a cracked block and melted pistons on seperate occassions so luck isnt on my side it just looks stock nuthin special at all, havent touched the exterior since i got it, but plan on some visual upgrades soon (wheels and possible gonna go r34 gtr front as well) this is a recent pic...
  23. i dunno its the american drag influence i assume, all drag measurements are imperial.
  24. mod list is built rb26 , t04z, etc, making 560rwhp on 18psi on pump fuel, motor has gone over 600hp on 22psi on pump before, so plenty left in the motor, should go 650rwhp on race fuel and thats the turbo maxed out, motor can go alot further than that with bigger turbo. this is the run details.. reaction time 0.655 60ft 1.701 330ft 4.868 660ft 7.359 660ft speed 158.75kmh 1000ft 9.507 e.t. 11.339 terminal speed 123.28mph (198.39kmh) i was on shitty dunlop 235/17 rubber so traction was a big issue in 1st and 2nd and as i said clutch was playing up and that was pretty much the only decent run i did. I think it could go abit quicker as is, and if i strip 100kg out (seats and back carpet etc weighs that much) and get some traction i think a 10 is possible when its running right. next time i go back i need an ANDRA license, tailshaft loop, 4 point harness and battery isolator switch because i ran under 11.99
  25. hey guys took my stagea to the drags today and best run was a 11.33@123.28mph and also did a run at 124.3mph, had clutch slipping issues and misfiring on most of the runs, not an ideal day but im pretty happy with times considering the car is full weight (1700kg) and on street tyres. can anyone tell me whats the fastest times for stageas besides this? i know one in japan is running 10s (or even 9s i think), but outside japan i only know of RBNT doing 11.9 and one in NZ doing 11.7 or 11.8. i dont have any vids of the runs as no one brought a video camera down
