  1. Have you tried kicking him in the face? That's probably the most sensible thing to do in this situation.
  2. Clark rubber sell that foam stuff.
  3. Disagree with Mobil1 5w50. Just go with a fully synthetic 0w30, 5w30 or 10w30 whatever you can find. I wouldn't change to a thicker oil unless you find you are burning a shit load of it and then you know somethings up anyway. Did the guy who sold it to you tell you what kind of oil he'd been using?
  4. Credit unions..................
  5. Yeah you can do it. As already said you'd need another relay off the window circuit to close the mirrors switch. I had the circuit built for this for a few dollars but I sold the car before installing it. I never bothered with an unfolding circuit because i figured i'd just do that myself but it sounds like it's doable as well. You can move the boot release as it's just a long cable. Just remove it all together if you're worried about it.
  6. Ship them from where to where?
  7. Yeah id say your still liable to be defected. Especially if you install the neon they say comes with it or whatever. Nothing says "look at me/defect me" than a lit up box in your engine bay. Besides the fact that the air inside that partition is going to heat up mighty quickly considering the perspex is going to do nothing to stop radiated heat. You're better off going for an insulated opaque box painted black to look as factory as possible.
  8. I went on a tour of the SARD factory today and this was laying around everywhere amongst piles of cash... it's all starting to add up....
  9. Double check your VIN. That number appears to be invalid or could not be found.
  10. Well yah. They aren't particularly rare actually but they go for 50% more than a set of standard one's in Japan on average. Not a huge market for them though so they don't sell like hotcakes.
  11. Not a factory wheel but I have seen these in some dealer catalogs as dealer options in 1999. But you could get a great deal of things as dealer options when the GTR came out. I've seen a lot of Japanese GTR's with these on. example:
  12. Yeah you can't just bolt in a 4wd drivetrain to a 2wd body. It doesn't fit unless you use a big sledgehammer and use a lot of duct tape. GTS4 maybe but still I wouldn't buy it.
  13. What you read was wrong. The standard RB26 AFM's are good for him there is no reason to change. He wont need to change up to Z32 or Nismo AFM's until he's changed the turbos most likely. The Z32 AFM isn't primarily used for it's larger diameter. The main reason people switch to them is the better sensor which is more able to accurately measure higher airflow volume. The RB25 AFM is the same shape as the Z32 AFM but you wouldn't switch to it because it uses the same sensor as the RB26 AFM and the whole thing would be a waste of money because you would max out the sensor well before you maxed out the airflow capacity of the AFM.
  14. There were 400 midnight purple pearl III cars originally.
  15. You don't have to be perfect to get a gold license. I got mine when I had 4 demerits. You just have to hold a full license 5 years without a suspension.
  16. I have already received my first package containing the parts for the first Yaris modification.......
  17. that's pretty random, suggesting changing something in the bottom end for someone who's only doing bolt ons. I think if he was going to do that there's a load of other things he should do while he's down there. But randomness aside you should definitely run a new fuel pump and consider having your injectors professionally cleaned and flow tested or just drop some sard or nismo injectors in. Standard clutch will already be shagged if it's not a new one. Probably best to budget for that straight up.
  18. Join the club. I just sold the R32 and bought this... I'm not even joking, i joined the Yaris forums too ... don't hate me.
  19. Does anyone know if it's possible to ignore an entire subforum..............?
  20. Smart guy aren't ya. So why don't you tell me how pod filters are better than an enclosed factory airbox on a street car? You'd know right because you've tested back to back right.... right. I personally have tested back to back and i know a good amount of people who have high powered GTRs and agree with me. I mean why would you even consider pods on a street GTR? - Attracts defects - Increase air intake temps - Cost more to buy and more to buy the inevitable cold air partition you need to install to stop the air intake temp rise The alternative is the factory airbox which plenty of people making more power than you use and have no problems at all. Doesn't attract the police and keeps intake temps down due to being enclosed and drawing in air through the standard snorkels (or snorkels in the case of GTR). But hey if you like to throw lots of money at a colorful wang extension instead of putting your money into actually useful modifications who am I to judge...
  21. Neither. Apexi panel filters are expensive and rubbish and are not cleanable as they are just paper type. Pod filters are a waste of time money and power on a street car. Z-tune - Airbox, Mines GTR - Airbox. I personally am making 300awkw with a K&N panel filter in the stock airbox.................. K&N panel filter are cleanable and have a long lifetime or if you want to give them a try get a Splitfire panel filter which looks remarkably similar to a K&N to me but about half the price.
  22. Better check that exhaust manifold to see if the black paint is flaking off eh? wait.. what?
