  1. hella flush for the win... stretch dem tyres, massage dem guards... make em fit!!
  2. thats how my family do gatherings... as we all eat different things now and some have kids.. its just easier to bring plate of food that you want to eat and what you want to drink.. everyone just shares each others food, or sticks to their own. there are so many different nationalities on sau that it would be a fantastic mix and give a great insight to a nations REAL cuisine.
  3. he has 3... running spoon engines.
  4. that is horrible to hear mate.. what a cock. its a shame that in this world... it can take 1 scumbag to completly mess your life up, harass you, damge your property that you work hard for, make you live in fear that he might be outside, or worse. make you up and move house, change jobs, schools, cars, etc.. why is it... people need to have an interview, show earnings and employment historys to buy or rent a house, get a car etc.. its a massive deal to get a house loan... but people can breed willy nilly.. no matter if they are mentally or financially fit to bring a human being into this world.. and teach it the proper values and morals. we can cull kangaroos, we can cull koalas, we can ban certain breeds of dogs that "can" attack, we can harpoon whales for "testing" why the F%^k cant we cull humans?? ban people from breeding?? send people away that "can" pose a threat to society?? why are humans so important that everyone that is brought into the world should be kept because it is inhumane to remove a human life. why is it that if you jump my fence with bad intentions and my dog bites you... my dog gets put down and i have to pay your hospital bills.. and you dont even get charged with anything because you didnt actually break and to enter my house. like Smith says "humans are a disease.. a cancer to the planet" we have no reason to be here... no purpose for existance, we multiply, and multiply, taking over the host, we live off the host, not with the host.. we live here until it is full, or dead.. then we will move on to a new host. we judge an animals intelligence by their interaction with humans... i say it is the intelligent ones that stay away from humans... who are humans to judge what is intelligent or not? a life is a life whether its on 2 legs and can talk human or 4 legs and communicates without words.. a person is no more or less valuable than any other animal on the planet. the human race disgusts me.
  5. we should have a poll then of who has the best avatar... personally i think it should go to silver gtst.. his avatar rocks... and has done since ive been on here. that said... pepe lopez's is pretty awesome. i decided to change mine a little while ago... dunno why.. i had the same one since day 1.
  6. id be keen to do that.. everyone bring 1 plate of food each, 1 carton of drinks and some deck chairs each and there would be enough food and drink for everyone to share, all different types of food from each corner of the globe. rather than leaving it up to 1 or 2 people to organise all the food then there not be enough or too much. and if its a beautiful spot, on a beautiful day... there is nothing better than kicking back and soaking it up.
  7. oh... snap!
  8. judge snyder is just looking over the poll results so far... he seems to think "the clown is down" haha. haysey....its just a bit of fun mate.. geez.. back on topic... it should be against forum rules... my religion is against evil clowns... i find it offensive and disrespectful to my culture.. i dont really.. but it would be funny if it did.
  9. what i mean is that on the dyno, being tuned, it was 400hp at wide open throttle... absolutly flat out.. but in the real world... on a nice twisty bit of black top.. in a real driving situation... you only need 60% of throttle to enjoy it... there is another 40% of throttle to be opened... but its not neccessary, in the real world, it doesnt need the 400hp that it has.. the speed at which it can accelerate at 60% throttle usage is almost is ridiculous, and its barely working, hardly raising a sweat.... it must really pull at 100%.. i was watching the monitor on the putty cruise... and on the short bursts out of the corners... where normally you would flatten it .. the most he used that day, was 30% and it was hauling.. 30%!!!!!... thats 70% of throttle left to play with!!!!.. its amazing knowing the potential this car has.. if you were to have a really good road and open it right up. i say power fc FTW... but im biased towards it.. get that first, get it tuned and run a bit more boost to keep you happy until you get 2530's or -5s cheers Linton
  10. paintball is awesome fun.. anything where there is something else to do.. as in... to just have a meet up with nothing to do is a) awkward and b) a tad boring when all you can really do is talk cars. paintball, half day rally school, trailbike rides, etc.. all fun... there is a place up here that takes you through the watagans... your bike or their bikes.. up to you.. would be great fun.
  11. yeh... that was me that said i dont like it... clowns disturb me... evil evil things they are.
  12. bakes setup will support 450hp if he changes cams and valve springs... but the thing hauls as is.. and like i said, hes never been over 60% throttle.. we strapped it on the putty alone once, and with the putty cruise just gone... and both times the thing had almost too much power... it was completly usable without fying the tyres or being silly.. 400hp is completly safe and completly usable.. if you need more than 450hp... you need more than a back road to really enjoy it.
  13. what were you doing at broadmeadow??
  14. i would be interested too if i was down your way.
  15. bakes has 700cc and vipec ecu... he has a build thread in the forced induction section... it idles and drives like normal, the ecu has no dramas controlling the big injectors. mine's r34 uses 600cc injectors and pump fuel it makes 620hp... ideally you want the correct size injectors for your power level... dont wack in 800cc injectors if you only need 600cc's as the smaller injectors are more easily controlled by most ecu's.
  16. cant believe you were thinking about selling it...
  17. ok ive had a bit of a rest... and ive been thinking some more.. and i really think that slim should change his avatar... i f%$kin hate clowns... they freak me out. that is all. hey... lets all do a rally day.. that would be tops.
  18. does she play well with 5-10 23 year old blondes?? haha j/k
  19. ive been on a few things with sau over the years... being up in the hunter valley though... its difficult to get down to events. i have to pick and choose as its some days can be expensive and tiring to even get to, let alone participate. ive only ever been on cruises and the odd show and shine.. but to me, owing a skyline is about driving the thing... i think show and shines are a waste of time.. when everyone sees the same cars at a cruise anyway pretty much.. i also think dyno days are a bit of a waste of time as people see how their cars perform in the REAL WORLD on a cruise... dont flame me, slim asked for my thoughts... thems my thoughts. i would like to see a bit more driving stuff up this way... hillclimbs, texi's, cruises. i know thats difficult giving you guys are all from sydney... you try to organise something up here but unless its an "official SAU" event people dont seem to bother as it may only be one or two cars and it turns out to be a waste of time. i dont know what costs are to get something like a texi going... but i think $200 for track days is reasonable. but for me... driving to wakefield... long trip.. and i wouldnt feel comfortable without taking my car on a trailer... if something happens... its a long trip trying to get a busted car home.. so time and costs go up... making it not worth it for me. (not when... honestly... i can jump in my car, go for a squirt around the back roads up here and get rid of my sillyness in a few short spurts, i dont need to thrash a set of tyres or hit 300km to love my car) the corporate box at super lap was a good idea... better if it had food action in the way of a bbq, but i know oran park wouldnt allow it. i think a cruise + bbq is always brilliant... if you had someone organised at the other end set up for when the cruise rolls in.. ive been on a few trail bike rides that are like that.. its bloody awesome.. ride up, cold drinks, good food, all ready to go.. then you ride off and when you return at the end of the day, there is more cold drinks and stories of the days adventures. it felt a bit shit at the putty cruise when a few people including our fearless leaders took off to the pub for lunch... alot of us were left standing around feeling left out and subsequently left for home, it had no real END to the cruise.. i know it couldnt be helped... but had there been a bbq, everyone could have stayed together and departed at their leisure. maybe some more corporate events for paying members?? like even the v8 supercars or something... has to be some incentive for people to join up and pay a membership for the club to get more money.. more perks and lurks.. im happy to support the club.. but there is no incentive for me when it takes alot to make it to events.. its becomes not worth my while so to speak.... a forum i used to be on, you had to be a paying member to even look at half the threads... most sections... including technical sections were closed off unless you were a paying member... which made the members a very tight and close knit group that were happy to help each other out knowing each was dedicated to the cause of the forum/club. and name tags.... ahhh... it gets annoying asking people who they are on the forum sometimes.. if we all had a stick on name tag that you get when you arrive at the meet point, it would allow you guys to keep track of whos here, whos a member and whos a ring in.. and we would be able to walk up to someone who we know on screen and have developed an online friendship with and introduce ourselves in person. ive thought enough, my head hurts.. cheers Linton
  20. sounds like you have come to an answer... and i bet deep down it was the one you were after.. you know when you flip a coin, and when it lands... you turn it over anyway, once the decision has been made for you... you know which way you want to go. generally... workshops do good work, for good people, on good cars, that although you may not be rolling in the folding stuff... are willing to pay the good money for the good products.. (thats not always a rule though, some workshops just have good advertising and their work is just slap dash) ive always taken that approach to cars... if i work on someones car that is disrespectful to me and disrespectful to their car... i will do the bare minimum of work required.. but if its a good person, and they clearly take pride in their car and respect me for the fact that they are bringing the car to me because they do not have the facilities or knowledge to carry out the work... i will go above and beyond what they have asked me to do, especially if its clear that although they do not have alot of money, they will scrounge up enough to afford the best parts possible... i will do it to the best of my ability and be as neat and tidy as possible. which if you were to bring your r33 gtr to me... i would be more than happy to help you.. you know the car, you have a relationship with the car, i respect that. if you brought a 600hp r32 gtr in that you knew nothing about and no idea what was in it... i would be skeptical of touching it. hope your r33 brings you many more years of happiness.
  21. top video champ... i dont think ive ever sat so still for 9.23 minutes. haha. well done.
  22. i got one of them ^^^^ its tops for what i need it for.. spare parts list, everything, came next day.. www.diytools.com.au same jack as most, just different label... kincrome etc. its built pretty solid... no less than the snap on jacks ive seen.
  23. bingo... i had that intention with my r32... granted its just a gtst... but its more than my budget can handle... i bought it as someones mistake... overall in solid condition... but needed a few little touches here and there.... its come to the point where ive taken it off the road and am completly going over it front to back as im sick of chasing gremlins and finding the weak links.. everything will be replaced, refurbished, or binned. ive also heard stories about high hp cars, being "built" by top japanese workshops... that are nothing like their big dollar demo cars that draw you in.. so even if it says its been built by "such and such" doesnt necessarily mean they have actually touched it. its difficult to spot a high hp gtr with a problem as they generally cough and sputter and cam away... hiding all sorts of possible malfunctions that are being sold as "highly tuned"
  24. yes... 4-6g is about right.. given that you have ohlins shocks... and 18x10's with semi slicks... i imagine you want the best components money can buy... if you cant afford to do it properly once... you cant afford to do it twice.. so with that in mind... if you dont want/cant afford to get your r33 gtr that you love.. up to 400hp for 4-6g... how are you going to go when that stroked rb28 lets go... and you cant afford to replace the bits with high quality items of your standards... and if it goes bang... its gonna go bang in a big way.. specially if it has a t51 or t88 strapped to the side of it. whereas on your near standard engine... you have room to move and you may get away with just doing the rings and maybe a crank... should something go bang that is.
  25. 400hp is not hard to acheive on a late model GTR that is still fresh like you say yours is.. its a simple case of bolt ons basically.. on a 20 year old r32 gtr its a different story, the fact that half the electrical stuff is most likely dead or dying and parts are near the limit from shear age, let alone thrashing. N1 turbos... power fc... 550cc injectors... = 300kw at the wheels or 400hp.
