  1. shouldnt that be "duuusst on the skyline... and now dust in your eye."
  2. yes.. about your column? what is this toyota hiace fad you speak of?? and also this toyota vellfire? thats a cool name. and when are you bringing in a container of these funky kit kats??
  3. head gasket.. doesnt have to have oil in the coolant or smoke/steam in the exhaust.. its combustion pressurizing the coolant.. maybe when your boost spiked, it was enough to blow a hole in the head gasket. is the car hard to start?? this can be a case of coolant in the combustion chamber and loss of compression due to it going into the coolant. pressure test the radiator.. if it drops but theres no external leaks, then its head gasket.
  4. ahh thats only in aus and america.. all the japanese cars look freaking awesome.. aussies just cant get their shit together when it comes to appearence except for the d1 garage cars and a few privateers.. wheels are all wrong offsets.. tyre profiles are all too big, cars arent low enough, colours are too freaky looking.. like cats yellow/blue/pink s13.. wtf?? where the matt black gone?? where are the bolt on flares?? where are the wheels that just squeeze inside the guards?? all aus drift cares about these days is power.. no finesse anymore.. i blame this all on robbie bulger.. private club days are better than the national series now. but that 300zx is fugly aye.. whats with all the bonnet scoops?? and the tiny little intercooler in that huge front bar?? and whats with the flat as rear bar?? and whats wrong with the 300zx tail lights?? each to their own.. but seriously. seriously how hard is it to make a car look phat.
  5. yeh my line is in ze garage.. pondered riding to work this morning before actually getting up.. pfft stuff that. can hardly breathe and im in my office. definatly makes for tops water cooler convo's
  6. spray inside the wheel well... and all arms and stuff black... go for a strap... check under and see where its rubbed off.
  7. it could be coilpacks... or it could be afm.. if its a stockish engine.. id say afm.. coilpacks will stuff up on a modded engine, running more boost... generally the r32 coilpacks arent to bad, and they are used on rb26's aswell... the rb25 coilpacks stuff up as they are different. coilpacks will do it fairly regularly.. and it wont get over 4000rpm. it will cough and stutter as it cant handle the fuel/air required. afm can drop in and out... i had the problem where as i put my fott down slightly to overtake, the afm would die, and cause me to near shit myself as im in the wrong lane trying to overtake and my car just died, then it picks up again and motors on for 100kms.. it did it at the weirdest spots. replaced the afm with a z32 one and happy days, no dramas.
  8. hey all.. busted my r32 a while back, having no luck finding an r32 lhf steering knuckle.. have found a pair of r33 ones though, with lower control arms, calipers, discs, so basically r33 front suspension. i will be using r33 lca's no matter what knuckle i find. will this fit the old r32? are the the same or different?? if different how so and what effect will it have??
  9. Hey guys.. nice mail lady just dropped off the latest issue of hpi.. which is their best of the best issue.. and its f#$kin tops!! Bakes' full feature is on page 52... Mark Berrys R34 is in there as Best Prospect aswell.. i havent flicked through the rest of it yet.. will let you know how it goes. also winner of the best wheel is the VOLK GTC. and the r34 cruise is in there... top stuff... great few shots of the side of Terrys head. haha
  10. no no... hes still there. he has free reign.. he makes the police force sooo much money that he is referred to as "super" as in... detective, constable, sargeant, SUPER... he makes the police force sooo much money that: he can fire his gun willy nilly without having to do a single ounce of paperwork he can pull over a hoard of imports with a single hand and defect them at a rate of 2 cars every 15 seconds he can create a new ADR with the power of his mind he can change the speed limit signs by wriggiling his big toe he is SUPER KEV!
  11. that ish correkt yesh.
  12. sprung centre though?? difference between 5 puk and 3 puk is 2 puks.. 5 puk has more surface area to grip with... but the surface prssure is reduced.. more surface area and less pressure means it can handle more slip for day to day driving. with a 3 puck, the surface is less and the pressure is greater, so it will wear more than the 5 puk if slipped
  13. growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.
  14. i love r33s... they feel solid on the road... they look wide.. and the engine has a great torque spread and a great sound different to the other RB's. the interior is simple and roomy.. but it still feels like a performance car. its easy to make them look good and they are the only skyline that doesnt look wank with gtr bits... except the badge.
  15. that depends on your rep range and your set range.. if you are aiming for 10-12 reps... and on your first set, you manage 6 reps... then you need to go lighter.. if you reach 12 reps easy... you need to up the weight. if you hit 10 reps on your first set, 8 on your second set, and can only manage 6 on your last... then drop a bit of weight off and continue until you hit desired rep range or failure. some people do full reps at lower weight, some people start each set at their desired weight and keep dropping off at each failure point and keep going until they finish the set. whatever you feel like doing really. drop sets are to get the absolute expenditure from your muscles... the lighter weight works the back up muscles when the big ones are toast.. dont use it as a warm down though.. you muscles need to be punished... just stretch them after each set and rest.
  16. aww yeh... good ol mr smithe.. hes a top notch bloke.. he will sit on the edge of a fog patch and wait for you to come out with your fog lights on and book yo ass.. hes a great fella. on a sunday morpeth is chocka block... people everywhere doing nothing particular. hinton pub.. just after morpeth is a top pub.. with lots of room for parking.. do not go out to Paterson for a hamburger.... they used to be fantastic... but the old quantity over quality thing has taken over and its gone downhill. there is a nice place in East Maitland called Anoushka's... it is a regular of mine and they make really good home cooked food.. big hearty meals and always fantastic... reasonable pricing too. but if you want to go there id have to book us in advance and dont you dare not come if youve booked.. FEAR THE WRATH OF JAN!!
  17. i was going but everyones flaked out on me.
  18. and i rest my case.
  19. why you no train??
  20. safc might not be the greatest way... but i did that because i couldnt afford to have my ecu missing for a week. i bought a safc on ebay, installed it on the weekend, got it set up and road tuned by myself with an a/f gauge before i had to drive to work on the monday.. and any changes i made after could be retuned in.. not have to send the ecu away again. now that im selling the car.. i have removed the bits and pieces and the safc and everything is as normal. aftermarket ECU or remap is the best option though.
  21. well there you have it... and you missed my point.
  22. pretty much... the buggers run that rich at WOT so the o2 sensor is useless.. its mainly to reduce emissions etc. when potting around and idling.. the car must have ALL sensors working properly to run properly... even then they are tuned so rich so idiots cant destroy them... that all changes after 17yrs though and stuff starts to breakdown, and you run it on aussie fuel in aussie conditions.
  23. nope... wont work. get an apexi SAFC 1 or 2, easiest way to run z32 afm.
  24. i dunno... company director at my work has a new STi.. and its gone in to have the engine replaced under warranty, its got less than 5000kms on it.. they have found a fault with one of the engine building processes or something... i dont think i could comfortably get in that car and drive it always wondering if you are going to make it, or if your oging to be stuck on the side of the road somewhere because its gone again. least with the old ones, if it goes, it goes, rebuild it.
