oh boy.. thats hectic... you should get yourself a red dragon bro.. they is full hectic. 6.7psi... thats pretty hectic boost bro.. and what do you use to measure that? and considering the standard R33 GTSt runs 7psi... how are you lowering it by 0.3psi?? thats way cool.. new oxygen sensor... wowzers.. thats rocking.. shame the water temp sender, afm, and coilpacks are probs still 17 years old. oxygen sensor senses how much unburnt oxygen is still in the exhaust gas after combustion ..not the temp... the cat temp sensor does that.. but is probs dead. it works on a closed loop circuit and corrects itself constantly. but its by no means an effective way of tuning.. hooking a fully hectic a/f gauge up to the 02 sensor is not an effective way of checking the a/f ratio either.. only way is to put a proper sensor in the exhaust with a proper gauge. VL commodores do better skids than skylines... go buy one of them.

who wants to give their R32 GTR to ken block for a little test?? can i see a show of hands?? anyone??

Evo, STI, RX7, GTR... all have their good points, all have their bad points.. yeh the GTR can be made the most powerful.. but power isnt everything, given a reasonable budget, and to be used in normal street application.. they are all even... i personally love the punchiness and point to point driving style of the evo and STI... they are light for a 4wd car.. nimble and precise.. have a great sound and large a/m parts following.. with a rear sway bar, they will hang it out just as good as a rear bias car. GTR's are heavy... the lack of torque down low combined with the weight can make them feel lethargic.. you cant throw them around like a rex, they dont respond down low... so you come into a tight corner and you have to drop it back from third to second to keep the revs up, the rex can power out in 3rd. and be ready for the next corner.. i like the steering position of the rex.. it makes heel and toeing easy as theres alot of room... i couldnt do that very well in bakes R34.. it just felt different.. the r34 feels like your in a rocket ship, ready for blasting. take $20000 and you can either get an r32 gtr, or a classic shape wrx for $10-$15000.. spend the remainder on it and i bet the rex comes out the better all round car.. coilovers, brake pads, clutch, VF34 turbo, semi slick tyres and some engine management and it will fly.. the R32 will need a bit more spent on it, given its age and complicated systems, aka, twin turbo, attessa and hicas, not to mention that they are 20 years old so some shit just wont work. the rexs gearboxes are only weak if you launch it from standing start... which is ghey anyway.. someone post up a video of them doing gymkhana in a GTR like ken brock and ill change my tune.. BUT... before you all flame me out... i love my gtr's and they will forever be in my garage.

undriveable cam lump and 6 throttle induction noise FTW!

i always name my cars according to their personality and who they remind me of. does that mean though.. that like the hakosukas and 240z's are like sophia loren and audrey hepburn... bit older, but still has a fire in the belly and would rock your world.. just needs a good sleep afterwards?? and new fandangle cars with all new fancy doodads and gadgets are like 18 yr olds.. great fun, awesome lines, go all night, but not sure about what they want in life, how long they are gonna be around, etc?? ive always said cars are like girls.... and girls are like food. some people like a different meal every night, some like the same old thing.. some like a big meal, some like a lot of little meals.. some plate up well... some dont.. but they are still delicious.

750cc injectors.... fark me.. no wonder it was using lots and lots of fuel!

hey hey... just got the latest hpi from the postman... bakes' r34 is smack bang on page 76... looks well tough in the mag.. will be a full feature next issue but its in this one for a wheel guide. also.. it says the R34 anniversary cruise will be in next months.

if only the r33 gtr's looked like that.. ohh heaven.. if i wasnt married to RB engines, id have one in a snap.. but that feels like cheating to me.. rx7 is a super hot bikini model. hot, fit, built proper, tempermental, could let go at any minute, constantly in your wallet. r33 gtr is your missus. bit bulgy in areas, reasonably good looking, fun to have around, good at most things it does, doesnt ask much, in it for the long haul, trustworthy.

Serge Nubret... i was trying to think of his name. dont know where i got that levrone was into martial arts.. but he has done a movie or 2.
-
mad082, do you know what his user name was?? good old r31 forum.. it was good fun 9000 rpm from an rb30 is pretty impressive... even if it was 8000rpm... thats fair reving.. do you know if it was still making power at those rpms?? or had it started to drop off??

i weighed myself just then on our super dooper freight weigher.. no shoes but clothed.. 75kg.. im 25 and 6'1", i started when i was 21... and was 55kg.. so 4 years, 20kg gained.. and always staying reasonably lean.. id like to be 80kg by christmas.. i think for my height, 85kg should see me with a reasonably comfortable physique.. not too big, but not small.. aslong as i can fill out a medium t shirt.. ill be stoked. john cena and kevin levrones physiques are amplified by the fact they are usable in the real world.. say what you like about wwe wrestling but its a highly athletic activity and they cant have off seasons. kevin levrone is a martial arts dude isnt he?? thats now into acting??

john cena FTW!

Wing Or Wingless? Let's Vote.
NZM.031 replied to Spunky Munky's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
the supra is a fine example of proportion this car doesnt have the lower skirt kit... makes the car like high and skinny.. which makes the wing look a bit out of wack.. even if you dump it, without the skirt kit, the car is too long for how thick it is this car does have the skirt kit... even without being lowered or having big wheels.. its made the car thicker, appear lower and the wing fits in with the rest of the shape. this one to me, although nice, just looks unfinished at the back.. with the wing i think it would look cranky as. its harder to make a supra look bad than it is to look good. -

nispro are the bomb... their stg1 cam is your gts2 cam.. which is the biggest cam you can run without changing the ecu. you could deck the head slightly... thats the easiest way and know one will ever know.. the gts2 heads are apparantly ported more than normal but there maybe a bit more that can be done or just general cleaning up.. xf throttle body to get more air in... or a twin standard set up.. and you could also make up some nice piping to increase the flow from the air filter if you havent done that already.. or GTR throttle bodies mated to the standard manifold.. but thats alot of work. ive seen 300hp from a non cross flow 2.9L carby 6... with an injected RB30 head thats cross flow, there is no reason it cant make more power than you can use on the street... with an awesome sound.. cheers Linton

What Happens When You Hit A Hare At 90km/h

chunks and cable ties ftw!! -
because natural takes time. ive often thought about it.. just because im 6"1' and was 55kg ringing wet... i thought if used it for a bit and bumped myself up to 70kg... and then maintained it and worked up from there... but i never did and im grateful for not doing it. its just the whole "get rich quick" type of thing. noone wants to put in the hard work anymore, they all want a short cut. hence why the respect is lost.

i dont have a progress shot... but i remember when the 2 points of bone on the top of my shoulders were sticking out.. and i hated it.. i noticed this morning that they are now surrounded by my delts and my traps.. im not huge... but thats progress right therr... same as my collarbones... they are now surrounded by my upper pecs.

well done mate.. as a non smoker, that makes me really happy. the part that bugs me about smoking is not that people are harming themselves, its the simple inconsideration most smokers have for other people.. smokers cant smell how bad they smell, or how disgusting cigarette smoke is.. so they dont care.. its your choice that you DO smoke, not my choice that i DONT smoke, i shouldnt be the one punished by your cigarette smoke and stench because i dont choose TO smoke... you want to smoke, rack off and do it away from others, i shouldnt have to move because you choose to smoke.... and have a breath mint for christ sake. keep up the good work.. cheers Linton
