  1. only happens in WA section for me and almost always the spotted thread, the other weird thing is clicking the red icon on the left to go to the last unread post doesnt work only on the spotted thread, it takes you to 2-3 posts before the end of the thread, even if 100 posts have been made since your last visit. everywhere else works perfectly in that regard for me. i'll get over it, just found it interesting it only did it for one thread. edit: using firefox on xp if it makes any difference
  2. i know how it works.... i meant too lean for the conditions, acceleration calls for a richer mixture than 14.7:1 (a narrowband simply tells you which side of 14.7 your on), so yer it might be on the rich side of 14.7 but still too lean for the conditions.
  3. So everytime i post (using the quick reply down the bottom) in the spotted thread in the WA section and occasionally in other threads i click post and get the following error: An Error Occurred Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. [#10151] An unknown error occurred under that it says my post data has been saved, but it all comes up in the topic anyway? I dont think im the only one seeing this either as there seams to be a lot of double posts in the spotted thread lately. Everything works, the post always comes up, its just weird.
  4. good idea. im a sucker for boos and a bbq, im sure theres more alcoholics on here who know a thing or 2
  5. nope, aac is on the back of the plenum. its the traction throttle as said above
  6. yer which is useless at anything more than very light load cruising
  7. if you use braided lines heat shouldnt be a problem, both my water lines and my oil feed are within a bees dick of the turbine housing (big ATP T4 T/S thingy) without any troubles
  8. you cant use the narrowband to determine how rich its running under accleration.... it could be lean for all you know
  9. yer swapping around would be a bit of a pain if its already assembled, main reason i didnt do it. pretty sure sr20 arp bolts suit rb30 aswell
  10. whats wrong with the garrett turbine housings? i have a gt30 one here if you need to buy one?
  11. yer they do, conical spray pattern is the name the deatschwerks i have on the way are conical aswell but only single hole instead of 4 like the stockers and nismos, will see how they go soon.
  12. i drive a camry everyday, most reliable car on the planet!
  13. fact: going through the same cell under the same load (with same air temps and no changes in throttle etc) will result in the same AFR, regardless of gear (2nd and 5th will be the same). fact: you will not be in the same cells at WOT in 3rd as you would be cruising along in 5th, regardless of rpm.
  14. all cells always interpolate, but only with the ones immediately next to them, which makes everything smooth and linear. the only time cells will show a varying AFR in the log files is when you go through them with a change in throttle in that cell or in fuel cut. fuel cut obviously gives you really lean readings and everytime you sink the throttle the ecu adds extra fuel ontop of that in the map for a split second, this also messes with AFR readings, but it is in no way a tuning flaw and you dont need 2 seperate maps for economy and power, 1 map can give you the best of both.
  15. yer i know that. by normal stuff i meant ethanol mixxed with regular unleaded, not race fuel.
  16. wrong wrong and more wrong. with a power fc, unless you've set some crazy load points (like full throttle is p5 and the rest dont get used) you will never ever ever be in the same cells at WOT as you would cruising around on the highway, not under any circumstances. i have a largish turbo on my car that doesnt make full boost until around 3800 in higher gears but even if i stomp it at idle it jumps straight into p9 or p10 and goes from there (gradually down to p17/18 under full load), the highest cruising load you would ever use would be around p6-7, but even that would be at 2500+rpm, at which stage the full load run is down around p11/12, miles away from the cruising part of the map. also if your running in a particular cell the AFR's will never vary by that much (half a point max) and the timing doesnt change at all, so no idea what you mean by the 18:1 and det?
  17. just use xp, vista and 7 are shit anyway
  18. you really couldnt be further from the truth in this case if you tried. for starters running leaner does not mean you have to massively retard the timing under light load, 99% of the time you'll reach MBT well before you have any troubles with knock, i personally run around 16:1 afr's and 50 degrees of timing under light load cruising areas with great results. its very repsonsive, makes great torque and uses bugger all fuel. on a pfc you have a 20x20 map, so you have 20 rpm points and 20 load points, unless your cruising at top speed (200+km/h), in which case your not gonna be worrying about economy, you'll never be in the same cells under cruise and WOT at any rpm. if your not accelerating fast enough at low revs, put your foot down further, if your foots on the floor, your in the part of the map tuned for max power under those conditions, no where near where you'd be under cruise. having said that whats best for economy and whats best for power in the same cell is usually pretty similar anyway, you simply tune to your desired AFR (16:1 on light cruise, 14-15:1 under medium load then gradually down to 12:1 under full load) and run as much timing as you can without exceeding MBT or getting knock
  19. e85 doesnt past some old volatility test, all the other states have adjusted the law to suit but WA hasnt yer its mixxed with race fuel and is definately a good quality fuel. but even normal e85 is more than enough for what im after so does anyone know if theres anywhere selling normal stuff at a lower price that?
  20. as i said the pfc pro launch control does not retard timing like anti lag, its a normal rev limiter that only engages at 0km/h. it'll run whatever timing is in the ignition map at that point
  21. Its still illegal to sell at the pump in WA and caltex have said that even if this changes they have no current plans to bring it over as it costs too much to transport. Basically they're not interested in old Wait Awhile
  22. So my new motors coming together and im seriously considering running a ~30/70 mix of e85 and pulp after having some troubles with bad batches of 98. I know a lot of the performance shops sell it in 20L drums but im guessing they like to charge a fortune? i contacted filters elite last year and they were charing around $500-550 for a 200L drum of the csr stuff and racefuels.net is currently selling them for $550. Bascially for those of you running it, where do you get it from, how much is it and how do you go with storing drums for long periods? Would anyone be interested in group buys of 200L drums? Thanks
  23. ecu isnt in the boot but sounds like you've definately fried something attessa related. check all the fuses first
  24. no its not anti lag, its exactly the same as the normal rev limiter (ignition cut on pro) just set to whatever rpm you want, it then uses the normal limiter as soon as you hit 1km/h
  25. checked these basics?
