  1. does this count ?
  2. ^^ that or HKS 2835 = 400rwhp
  3. as above, shortening runners on rb20's not a good idea i have put on plazaman plenum (same as roy in build thread mentioned above) my car is rb22 specifically tuned for high rppm for drift... i got 200 rpm more response and a decent more power held for longer at higher rpm... and a neater engine bay but.... i have everything already and it was the last thing i did and wouldnt say it dramatically increased performance... unless you want a nicer engine bay or really really want to do it... leave it as is
  4. thats no good Roy on mine with no other ajustments other than Plazmaman and quick retune i got 200 rpm more response 5hp more but carried the power to redline without dropping off at all.... where previously it droppped off about 10% by 7600 rpm... hmmmm did you you std throttle body?? thats what I used also with the Cusco brakemaster stopper issue ... i had that too.. had a little clearance but when on throttle it rubbed against it, solved it by using an engine dampner on that side now all is OK .. maybe an option ??
  5. i did rb22 because at that stage it was a simplier plan for what i already had done to the car and wasnt chasing big power at first and a little more reliability with brand new engine rather than a 100K old rb25 + the hassle of changing things over i use it for drift in wa which is a fast long track and suits quiet well now as plans got a bit more aggressive hence rb26 with twins wouldnt suit and as per above still would be too much messing around to put new gear in and dont really feel like going the ramp the stock rb25 up to 400hp and swap a new one each season because they break like alot of guys do here.. now, id build a rb25 engine... then buiding a rb22 suited better and still goes hard and keeps up more than fine you dont have to get it......
  6. pretty close to rb25 with same turbo etc etc either same peak power or a little less (5%) when comparing numbers from the rb25 power threads but obviously a little more laggy but it is also tuned that way for drift on a long open track my friend runs a very very similar car to mine with stock rb25 375hp though different turbo little more responsive and we are same same around the track even though im a little more laggy i have a few more revs on the other end ... if it were me on an rb20 that isnt a serious track car i wouldnt be putting cams or cam gears on and just throw more at suspension or similar to make a better overall car to pick up where the rb20 lacks a little vs other engines
  7. i had hks cam and adj cam gears on my rb20 and now same in my rb22 - very well respected tuner said leave them both at zero... so i havent had any back to back testing done ...but i take his word for it
  8. ultimately if your not getting that amount of power to the ground properly i wouldnt be looking at the tune really ... moreso the tyres, suspension and alignment setup
  9. + 2 bad idea i have rb22 with HKS 264 in/ex cams and pretty big turbo and its only used for track duties... I wouldnt even have cams in a sub 350rwhp rb20 it will drive terrible with the shift of the curve the turbo will already be running outta its range
  10. ^^ what injectors you recon if i upgrade my gtr ones for rb22?? 650cc Nismo's ?? anything else
  11. C - Red do good work... if you are going to C - Red they wont do Nistune I dont think but ask them what they think is best if you want Jeff to tune it They have done all the work on my Rb22 = top job can use 440cc GTR injectors with resistor pack is a common thing too
  12. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...eot=1&__N=1216 - bit of old skool and new skool mixed Ive been toying with the idea of rb25 or 1j/2j in my '00 e46 bmw ..just concerned a little with how we gonna work the rear subframe / diff / axles etc etc to handle power btw this is my r32 me vs team mate with r32 in battle Yes i go straight too but not for serious times like most of you guys ... I will one day though
  13. hmmm ...must be 0.87 then def not 0.68 yes its laggy for rb22 but good for drift at barbs sorry to hijack thread OP ..lol
  14. i musta got the optioned one as i have an 0.82 rear on my Pro S kit sitting on my rb22 awesome... def waiting to see the graph.. +1 great turbo's and good results
  15. is this an 0.82 rear housing or 0.63??
  16. edited to reduce harshness... even though was not so harsh lol
  17. seriously ??? only a year old
  18. get em off jap yahoo etc for about $200 they are mostly all the same modelled off 260z ones as fair as i know.. justjap etc just buy them in and sell em for $350 or so
  19. I agree - guy here in Perth tried 17 x 10 +45 and fouled on the inner and think managed to get 10mm spacer hence +35 and sat fine
  20. is that off a std temp gauge or aftermarket go back to clutch fan setup - proven to be ok time and time again
  21. email sent ... i was number 24 team mate 13 - both had yellow numbers Bubba ! please note I stay on the track most times now hence no more requests for indicators ! LOL
  22. and if you are still filling catch cans etc fit a VDO oil Scavenger pump to your return from the catch can to the sump and operate it through a missle switch in the cabin, as in some cases a simple line draining back to the sump doesnt flow enough so pump it instead..... just my opinion coz it worked for me a 2 others have done the same with built engines and heaps of problems and it has solved them (using for drift)
  23. great photos as always guys and cant wait for the vid - previous ones you have done are awesome appreciate the efforts will be getting in touch with you about the 3 photo battle sequence you got of me against my team mate
  24. some tough rb20 rb22's over here in Perth eh
