  1. mmmmmm.... that takes me back.. looks just like my car when I got it 4 1/2 years ago. (except the cruise control) The car has the optional safety pack which includes 6 air bags (2 in front, in the sides of fron seat and full side curtain) and rear centre lap sash seat belt. Looks like a nice example
  2. Great result Alex and sounds like you have a great tune and great informative write up. I look forward to seeing it go. Cheers Andy
  3. When I had my drivers side boot replaced cost was only $125 so should not cost any more in Brisane. I just went to a local Sydney CV repairer. It was a generic boot that fitted the car.
  4. Leon, You should look at installing a thermo switch between the transmission and the cooler. It only allows the fluid to go to the trans cooler when the fluid is up to temp. Made the car much nicer to drive in the morning. Check with Craig about getting one. Cheers Andy
  5. On the Sierra Stage One any boost over 19psi seemed to make little difference to the performance. I tried running it at 12psi for efficiency but I found there was little difference in economy and not as much fun as 19psi. Good luck getting it together soon. Cheers Andy
  6. The newer cars with Electronic throttle bodies do not have an Idle bypass... so when oil residue builds up around the butterfly the throttle is almost 100% closed when you release the throttle thus almost stalling and air is sucked past the butterfly to keep it running. When you clean the throttle body be careful to not push the throttle body open as it can damage the mechanism. When you reset the Idle learn if the idle does not set at 650 rpm +- 100rpm the idle will not learn the new setting.
  7. He has been reading and I believe he will start posing soon. Cheers Andy
  8. Well said Jezboosted....... personally I think it is interesting to see the different things done to C34's & M35's
  9. Signed over the papers to my Stagea to her new owner.. not sure I will sleep well tonight.
  10. Sad to announce that my Stegea is now Ex my Stagea and is SOLD.
  11. Love the marketing technique... step 1) take photo of random car step 2) Alter ad to name of car photographed. step 3) Claim massive power gains with substantial proof. step 4) run away with money
  12. As a nearly extinct Stagea owner (M35 kind cause they are really different) I think we should go back 3 years and have 2 completely separate sections. That way people won't feel so inferior if C34 owners or M35 owners are posting more.. Oh... that's right we went through this 3 years ago.. and SAU (who owns this Forum) said they wanted all Stagea owners together. I guess the powers that be have spoken. (No bananas here .... just a euro trash driver now)
  13. That is a great trap speed...
  14. Forgot to list that the car also has Cruise control fitted. Not the factory option but fitted locally so it can be set at what ever speed you want above 40kph. (thanks Connsman for the reminder)
  15. Thanks guys....... Sad for me but the wife will not drive it as she does not like the way it accelerates .. lol (she would rather rev the guts out of her Subaru and go no where) Scott, the gear shift is there but just not in that photo. Actually, if it does not sell quickly will not bother me at all as will get to drive her on the weekends. Cheers Andy

No, you are not meant to rest your head on the head rest (silly name really). They are there only to stop wiplash.
  21. Correct.... Oil burning Octavia RS with a little bit of tweeking.. Back in my new Work Van now.. Oil burning again .. Transporter 4motion crew van with twin turbo...
  22. Reading the reliability survey don in the USA I am not so sure you are right about this. VW rated 56th out of 60...
  23. How many cars do you know that are released with a turbo tuned to 13ps? IMO Nissan accepted potential failure of turbo as an acceptable risk to produce a true sports wagon (Grand tourer)
  24. I know you are jealous...
  25. I read the pdf on this part and it was only needed in gearboxes with wear on the cooler valve. There was a wet test to see the condition. This kit just provides a better seal where it need resurfacing.
