Trying To Identify Object Under The Dash.
Johnny replied to SSHatch's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah its a flare they use to signal highway traffic when they are pulled over to the side; it also provides light for changing the tyre. now in europe they supply a reflector either inside the bootlid, a single rear parker light which stays on or a portable stand reflector. oh and a majority of cars have their bonnet release on the passenger side to prevent you from havaing to face oncomming traffic. -
Not exactly the same thing but yesterday my uncle who has a POS vp commodore which he drives to the train station to go to the city; he came back at night and started the car which made a huuuge roar sound. He called the RACV and found out someone stole his cat converter; A f*kn cat converter for like 30bux jeeeezuz. Anyways im still keeping an eye out for your car; saw a white gt spec and a black one last night but thats it.

Tell that to the 07' bmw 320i rental car i got while my beema was being serviced lolz and yes i turned off the traction control + added water and oil (Seriously) also the holden viva, honda jazz (actually that was fun on the dirt), pergeo 206 the volvo s40's handbrake wouldnt hold the fat front tyres the landcruiser v8 was fun in the mud but i had to wash it before i returned it lolz ps: all of these were loan cars while i had various cars serviced at stealerships; they give them to you for free. I make it my personal crusade to fuucck up their cars as much as possible before i return them to pay my 350-2000dollar service fee's to keep my damn warranty; 200bux for 5litres of castrol edge my ass

Series 2 had the slip and 4wd lights as well as the series 1 Good brakes.......good brakes!!!! tell that to the mazda astina i hit in 2002 when she slammed on her brakes. I had greenstuff pads all round and plenty of stopping distance/reaction time. The damn car weighs 1600kg; maybe more! Burn in hell nissan for not putting turbo brakes in!!!!!

Saw this motor on ebay; it says "professionally painted in silver"
-
I remember seeing her in da dvd serious performance 7; seemed so innocent but she will blow your bottom end. Not bad mate; pretty much a whole car worth.
-
New genuine nissan cams are too expensive could buy some tomei or HKS step 1's for cheaper. Will change your powerband a bit but u get used to it. second hand set from someone who replaced theirs is the best bet at probably a hundredish

Why Does My Car Handle Like Sh#t!
Johnny replied to jarryd2nd's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Those old beemas arent bad ey; i have a 1979 e21 323i coupe which is a fantastic little thing; strong chassi, RWD, straight6 motor, bilstein coilovers and only weighs a tonne. -
ill add one thing; if the car is used everyday and goind to places you've never been + navigating through tight carparks and sidestreets i would go the gtt I dont even drive my car anywhere where i havent been before; hate carparks and avoid all together; the turning circle and low front lip makes it very stressful as you dont wanna damage your 55-80k car. Plus dont even mention parking your gtr to find a nice key mark all down the side.

Id recommend a series 2 (post 97 model) r33 gts skyline as the engine is quite nice to drive everyday in traffic and goes quite nice. I owned one when i was 17 as well and it never had a single problem with 30,000kms of thrashing. probably get one for 12k in great condition. -
I watched a dvd from japan with an 800hp rb26 drift car w t88 on stock bottom end. Lasted for quite a few hard laps and didnt blow on the show.

are you referring to how hard the steering is? cos beemas are all typically made that way and your front tyres are quite thick which would probably make it worse as the stockers are like 205 -
I just came back from a drive; was looking out for your car but nothing. Where abouts do u live??? Which suburbs???

hey man, Whats your budget cos an r34 gtr is not a cheap car. You would know that there are 3 'true' skyline models R32 R33 and R34. Use the search to check out there specs cos there is heaps to know. For your first car id suggest an r32 gts-t comes with a 2litre turbo engine and manual; good one for around 10,000 and budget for maintenance as well. -
Very interesting! When will the story be aired?
-
^^^^ Very true.....and your nose heavy. maybe higher front tyre pressure and lower rear with a hard launch
-
Jeeezuz some damn trukies are sooooo reckless; they think they have the right of way. Id probably go for an r32 gtr if you have enough extra cash but if your worried about maintenance then the r33 gtst is the safer bet. For some reason you probably wont be happy with the heavier rb25 r33; Ive driven a few and they just dont do it for me anymore after an rb26dett.

Reminds me of harold and kumar where doogie stole the camry in the petrol station. Anyways some f*kn crappy world we live in with shit people like this; dont worry its insured... i read an insurance book recently and the car is covered on testdrives where you are a passenger.
-
Yeah only 166; it was auto though so some drivetrain loss. I didnt have an ECU but did have aftermarket s/s turbo manifold. Must say though that power to weight was great; I can really feel the big skyline required some revs to take off especially with the lightened flywheel.

land prices arent too bad now; just bought land in 'college view' a few weeks ago and at the auction we were only competing against another young couple; got to 332k and we were highest but the owner passed in. reserve was 355k land is over 700sqm sold my house a month ago on plenty road in bundoora for 380k; not bad for a single storey 30+ year old place but rental was good at 350p/w my parents house will be for sale in 6 months time but expect to fetch 800-900k; this again in bundoora

In chinatown serz? nice! Im being overbearing.....I like the design of an FTO; kinda like a mini supra but i had a bad experience with some knucklehead driving one soooo recklessly he almost caused like 4 accidents. It was a black one with 5spoke wheels; i followed him for while to call the police but he ended up slamming his brakes on in front of me in traffic and getting out for a fight; I tried to run him over and sped off because it was right near my house and i didnt wanna let him know where i lived. Its the bloody front lip ey! so low that even a small incline will scrape.
-
We know whats wrong with our systems but cant do a damn thing about it; best labour could come up with is 'fuel watch' I dont even look at prices anymore, i just fill up at night so i dont have to wait in a que.
-
Its a crime!!! had shit brakes too for such a heavy car. dont worry ive made up for it now
