Definitely off mate and leave the power button off too; just normal mode. going round residential roads and looking out for parked cars and street signs you wouldnt want it to jump into 4th gear when the 50km zone suddently has a hill or incline. if you were in 4th you would have to put the foot down and you may be unlucky enough to hit the kickdown into 2nd; which is quite violent on the engine and gearbox. I blew rocker arms off my sr20 s15 auto cos it drops down very quickly and the rev's shoot up

Personally i never use 6th gear unless im on the freeway; 5th is the highest ill go on a highway. Overdrive is great when you can keep a nice a smooth speed of over 60kph without having to slow down; etc comming home from work in traffic. keep it off when you wanna weave through light traffic; feels great and much more responsive. on the great ocean road; you would not turn on the overdrive.

Most engines are pushed for long periods eg. fords xr4 engine was left at redline for weeks and weeks and so was mercedes benz c-class engines; im talking non-stop on a dyno with an unlimited fuel supply. if your car is tuned well without knock and you dont over-rev your engine can take all the punishment it wants; only reason why most engines blow is while drifting because of the constant lack of airflow and bouncing off the limiter. Either that or burnouts where the engine overheats very quickly. I drive hard alot now but i never rev past 7200rpmish and never flat-shift; always nice easy changes to save the gearbox and motor.

Words like P-plater/drunk and pole/tree seem to dominate news headlines as often as muslim and bombing.

Does the motor have to come out to fit a set of turbos or dump pipes???? Or am i misunderstanding?

Losing a loved one is torture....every night you dream of them but when you wake up they arent there anymore. Loved ones are in for years of hell before life can perhaps go back to any sort of normality. Let that be a lesson to everyone; dont let the people you care about leave the room without telling them how u feel.

5 at idle is fine; mine's on about 4 and goes up to about 7-9 when i give it a bit of a rev. Was your first post clear? cos you said 60-80 then 320-330; somethings not right there. When you start your car from cold does it register a high knock?? cos mine knocks to 93-95 while cranking and thats even when ive disconnected the coil-packs. like nismoid said; may be something in the engine bay or a stuffed sensor even the starter motor.

If you are friends or family friends with your local mechanic just take it to them; servicing a skyline is very easy but make sure you check up and learn what fluids go where so you can make sure the mechanic wont put in the wrong thing. when it comes time for tuning, mods etc: take it to one of many SAU recommended places; racepace, creatd ms, re customs and status tuning being the best of the best.

Some red light cameras also have speed cameras inbuilt to make sure you dont speed up to cross the light; quite a few of them around now.

Its true sometimes people make signals to warm you of a flat tyre or buckled rim or something fallen off. Ive never had anyone annoy me in my gtr so far. My old NA r33 got beaten by a honda prelude; about 2 car lengths so yeah they arent the best performers.

God i love them in black; add the front lip...its an absolute must.

Rage is a terrible burdin to carry; basically once you actually act upon it your life can change forever. I regret ever not being in control of myself and now im suffering the consequences. So to all the people out there with road rage; let it go! be courteous to others and avoid problems because one day you may just chage your life for the worst......let your ego go.....show some respect.

lolz i used to have those issues but because im still learning how to drive the manual gearbox im always alert. Ill probably slip into my old habbits again.

I think they committed suicide with that design; the wrx was always popular because of its classic shape. They screwed it up with the bug eyes and just when they finally got the front just right......they screw it up again. the evo is fantastic though; right through since the gsr range

Trust greddy make that cool intake adaptor for 2 AFM's in polished s/s for a couple of hundred. kits from hks etc are like 4500-5000 with everything; yen plummet makes it a tad more expensive. I was sooooo keen on a single t04z but i keep reading horror stories from EPA which would make my life hell when there is a big huffer in full view of the police.

Ive got mine set to 1bar as those internal gates arent very good at controlling boost in the first couple of gears which can spike boost to 1.20 test your boost in 3rd on the freeway all the way till bout 7000rpm and check the highest reading; it should be 1.01 or 1.04 etc you want some leeway to keep the spike down; if you set yours to 1.20bar im sure it'll go higher when you take off hard in 1st and full throttle 2nd. Then they will blow!
