  1. Its all about crash testing, they need to see where the cars crumple zones are, in a crash you want the car to absorb enegy not simply transfer the energy into the winshield and cut your head off; most aftermarket cf bonnets are probably illegal because they are not tested on the car whereby the r34 gtr vpec cf bonnet has been and passed. I didnt mean cf is illegal but its geometry is and must prove to the automotive system that it will perform predictably in an accident. Same thing, there are a number of cars for sale atm that are almost all carbon fibre: enzo, zonda, ascari, SLR, apollo, carerra gt, dbr, mclaren f1, veyron etc All of them have been tested and given a rating on their performance; there is a minimum requirement required.
  2. Bloody shiiit.......those SOB's are cock flavoured lollypops. Is it that easy to steal a skyline?? or u think they flat bed trucked it Either way im sorry for this crap, ill be keeping an eye out just like every other SAU member will be and hopefully it will be a quick find like the other guy who had his r33 taken a lil while ago.
  3. Brilliant oil the 8100xcess is; basically its got better cold start properties, similar quality still 100% synthetic and it costs 65bux compared to 150for 6litres of 300v. Again ill just repeat, they sell 2litre bottles for 50bux at autobarn; 100bus for 4 litres and 50bux for 2litres = 150bux for 6 litres and the next time u have an oil change you have 1 litre left over so its only 100bux for 4litres + 1leftover.
  4. Its great we live in a world still insane enough to engineer things like this. Take that ecomentalists....
  5. Im under the impression that carbon fibre bonnets are way to strong and are not subjected to crash testing like the standard bonnet therefore would just penetrate into the cabin and cut your head off. Not sure about fibreglass coated with carbon which will crumple but is very sharp and jagged when you break it e.g a fishing rod. Wings can be illegal too because they can be a risk to pedestrians. Alot of people i know got defective VN for T-wings and had to remove them.
  6. Problem is, would you really want this shop working on your car again??? even if they agree to do it once you threaten them with legal action they may screw up your car some more. maybe try n get the workshop to compensate you for the money to fix the problem at another shop. I dunno, alot of messing around with a bunch of retards; not much you can do, you can push the envelope but that takes time and money or you can assault someone and wind up with a record. Try legit first and if that dosent work then just suck it up, buy some new tyres and when your anger fades in about 2months you can just enjoy your car...

    Spotted Thread

Ditto, spotted nick driving a very nice white r34 gt; its nice to put a face to a nickname. Still wondering how did you know it was me in the store lolz there were a few people in there. also drove next to a maniac of a driver in a ferrari 360modena convertible on the way home in baby blue........tool for running the red light 2 seconds late through the busy plenty road intersection, could have killed someone. Burn in hell you SOB!
  8. ^^^ Amazing response and insight. Im shocked after reading that, i read the letter and they dont even tell you how they do the test; like what distance the instrument is held at, is the car enclosed in a factory or out on the street in the open....oh and how many rpm they use, what happens if they over step to 5200rpm ect???? No such bargaining for court, then again i wouldnt go as ive been so many times for 'non-car matters' lolz Money making 101 from the communist handbook............apparently that makes me and every other sportscar driver a capitalistic pig. PS whats with harleys passing us at 120dB and ferraris with 100dB (jst guessing the levels) We will never understand law, ethics and just plain human compassion.
  9. Sound interesting, any downsides to the power fc? Honestly im kinda getting sold on the fact it looks stock so if i ever get EPA tested, they wont see it. How much we looking at for the ECU, is there a better model coming out soon?
  10. Not sure if anyone mentioned this but 300v is sold in a 2lite bottle as well for just a tad over half the cost of the 4. I used to use it but now i use 8100xcess 5w40; still 100% synthetic and a better cold start viscosity. I do my changes at 3000 or every 4months but if i do 3000kms in under 2months then i wont change the oil filter as i know they are good for a while longer. A good oil filter should not disintergrate and should last 10000kms or about a year; unlike the BMW cartridge filters which show signs of wear quite quickly. Anyone know how long say a drift, reco or coopers filter lasts before the filter element starts to breakdown????
  11. nope never seen gt-ss turbos, would have expected they had a HKS badge on them or HKS on the actuators?????
  12. Hey mate, I happen to love all the GTR's; I would have bought an r32 gtr if i had my second choice but the 33 gtr is fantastically roomy in the back. I know the r32's had a problem with their oil pump, pickup at high rpm but its an easy fix with the left over cash. goodluck with the choice, i wish you a reliable and hassle free purchase.
  13. its always the people who drive crappy cars who stick their mouth in to crudely insult someone whos been unfortunate. definitely only buy from members who have a high post count, over 200 preferable or COD.
  14. No mirrors on the visors but with the electric folding side mirrors you can stop them halfway and check yourself before hitting the scene. Or adjust the mirror to have a perfect view of your girl passengers cleavage.
  15. got his name and bank details, post them on here too. is that how u paid?? Sorry to hear bout the scam, there are some real sharks out there.
  16. Hey mate, well defintely choose based on what looks good to you. They both run rb26 motors and gearboxes are similar; obviously the r32 is older so some parts may need replacing but with the cheaper purchase price you can have $$$ left over for rebuild or replacement parts. e.g i remember seeing r33 gtr geaboxes rebuilt for 3500, turbo kits are like 2500, ECU's are about 1000 and there are plenty of workshops that can rebuild your rb26 if it goes. The 4wd is great in wet weather, plant it in 1st and there is no fishtailing at all, change to second and it just grips where my old s15 would still be trying to kill me.
  17. You know what, i was gonna go for the HKS gt-ss kit but with all the trouble from EPA today its best to for for garrett stuff because if you do wind up in a testing booth, they will only see the garrett logo and think its stock. everyone so far is saying the -7's are the bomb for track and street + add some cams for a little extra top end and your there. I wanted a big single sooooo badly for the gate and look but honestly, after my recent exhaust EPA im sick to death of dealing with all the bullshit so stick to the lowmounts.
  18. I cant believe it, I have one but not from this cruise. How did they get all the plate numbers down while everyone was driving past???? did they get a video camera out and pause it everytime a skyline went by. Why dont cops just go n shoot some 15 year olds and make up some stupid story to justify themselves.
  19. The stock m3 exhaust flows well up to 700hp, its the cats that are the big restriction, grab a set of headers from the US modbargains.com is a good site for parts; check the forum e46fanatics which will give you all the info you need, its like the SAU for e46 series BMW's If you want do the cats, dont do the catback cos you get this funny 'rasp' noise on cruising otherwise a good catback from remus or gruppe a are great. about 1500bux shipped to aus last time i checked.
  20. Has the car run down the quarter yet? with that much power, fat tyres and a bit of nitrous to get on boost faster im sure it will pull a 9 point something. Also i wonder how much actual money has gone into that car? 100k maybe
  21. Jeeezuz, do we still have people like that in Australia. Well done for sharing, Im glad that you at least did something; its hard sometimes because we have laws to follow. Could have called the police but i guess you were too mad to think of it at the time. One day those little shits are gonna piss off the wrong people and will wind up either dead or paralysed.
  22. Wow, watching that must have been better than being in bed with all the pussycat dolls at once.......na not that good but close. Both would sound amazing; ask the hairs on the back of my neck. Amazing achievement for the rb26!!!!!
  23. -7 for response, similar to the HKS gt-ss. are the 517z's ball bearing???? anyone know
  24. Johnny

    350z?

In terms of value for money the 350z ranks just above having a haemorrhoid. lolz na they aint bad but the engine just dosent have enough grunt, they handle well and have great brakes though. The interior looks like i made it. In that price range you can have an r33 gtr, r32 gtr with money for mods and maintenance.
  25. Lolz! thanks mate, dosent look like ill be able to catch up but as long as im in the top 10 and beat that bloody ford. Were all counting on you to be the cover car! i dont wanna see anything other than a nice JDM win.
