  1. thanks everyone, have made up my mind i think instant re the rear housing if it ends up being a problem at least it is easy and realitively cheap to change ill see how it goes initaily
  2. any more responce to my question, been looking at the ray hall site where they list different HP for all the different compressor wheels and exh housings avaliable, and it give so many more variables
  3. yeah about 40-50mins depending on traffic, i will be going out there one my car is done, normally a few people out there but its not too busy most of the time
  4. here are some pics, sorry some are alittle blurry i will try and take more tomorrow
  5. As measure by Doughboy, copied from a thread on turbo chart in Performance section Comp wheels same Exhaust wheels TD06: Minor 56mm, Major 65mm, Trim 74 T67: Minor 54mm, Major 62mm, Trim 76 so they are a very simailar turbo with a exhaust wheel that flows al little more so it should make a little more power, but the smaller exhaust hosuing may reduce the power a little although reducing the lag as well, so it should do 330rwkw in my opinion looking at other peoples results
  6. Buster had a TD06-25G and was making 330rwkw, this is almost the same so shoud be very similar
  7. I have a T67-25G turbo for sale, has a 8cm^2 exhaust housing, has just been checked out and had the wheels machined and balanced so all is ok and is ready to use, rated to 550hp and would be perfect for rb25 or rb20/sr20 due to the small exhasut housing, now $1100 will post pics tomorrow of it now, email ahrns@senet.com.au for more info, in adelaide but will ship at buyers expence
  8. yep thats my thinking to, not worried about boost, illl run as much is it will efficiently and always run good fuel, eg elf lms. I
  9. thanks for your numbers mate, i would settle for 550hp but how much of a restriction is the internal gate/exh on your setup compared to a 0.82 external gate turbo, i hate these decisons
  10. 272 cams and just a mild port job/cleanup nothing major but enough to make a difference. re the surge roy thats what i was worried about also, GT35 has a 0.7 A/R with a GT40 comp wheel 82mm, so its pretty large.
  11. How would the GT35 perform with the 0.63 housing to help reduce the lag. also the manifold i have is low mount and im worried that the extra size of the GT35 would mean it will not fit. Also the engine will be run in and fully tuned on the engine dyno so it will get a very good tune to get the most out of it and find out what it realy makes
  12. using details from this page http://www.gcg.com.au/technical/garrett%20...ng%20turbos.jpg
  13. I currently deciding on what turbo im going to use for my car, chasing 600hp form my rb25 built up with rb26 crankrods and forgies, cams, headwork and have all other support systems in place, cooler, ecu, injecotrs, exh are all over adequate. Car will be used for drags, circuit work and anything else so dont wont heaps of lag. Whats going to work the best out of these two choices GT30, .82 exh housing, rated at 600hp or a GT35 with a .82(or even .63) housing. im leaning to the gt30, but what is the real difference in lag between the two, any experience. cheers clint
  14. your the first in line let me know asap, its getting rebuilt atm and will find out tomorrow when its going to be back
  15. I have a trust t67 turbo that i was going to use on my car but i am now looking at possibly using a different turbo. It will be fully rebuilt with new seals/bearings so be in top condition, rated at 550hp, has a 8cm^2 exhaust housing so it will not be laggy and still make good hp, perfect for a nice streetable rb25 or even the 3ltr or rb20 will not be too bad. has a polished comp cover. looking to sell for $1400 pic below, email ahrns@senet.com.au for more info or if you have any questions, i adlelaide but will ship
  16. they should sit in exactly the same position, but this will depend on how you make the rear gearbox mount, are you modifying the std rb20 one?
  17. thanks sydneykid i had allready figured so and will run a small header tank to help
  18. thanks for the info doughboy, i will check against the t67 that i have (i think), can you take a pic of the exh side, and what size is the housing of the t67 that you have, cheers clint

  20. sorry car wont be running for a while yet, looks good but
  21. i used tomei springs in my rb25 and that suit up to 8.8 lift from memory, so the rb20 would be very similar i would say, i used a rb26 exh cam to get the max lift with more duration so i would like to know any diff between solid and hyd lift cams
