I think its interesting how they said you can wash ur car with buckets of water, but not a hose... How do they figure that throwing buckets of water over ur car uses less water than a quick spray from a hose....???? Definately get a tank. There are guys that can sell you a tank, and pump, and fit it all, and after the rebate you pay about $300.... not a hard choice.

Most of the guys with RB26DETT's who aim for big power opt for a large single turbo - why convert a single turbo to twin...? Wouldnt you just put a larger single on?

Decided to give M35s a miss - just because there is no real amount of aftermarket support for them, and such little knowledge, and the fact that if anything goes wrong no mechanic is going to have experience with the engine at all. Hunting for an S2 Manual, now. Not easy to find in good nic. Im going to give prestige a call and see what they come up with. Ive found a few cars that im interested in, just a matter of which one is best for its money.

Mongoose are a decent brand. Cyclops also do very well (heaps of add-ons as well as heaps of places stock them). Another thing - make sure you get an alarm immob that will recognise that you have a turbo timer and have a delayed immobilisation,so that if u fit a timer later you dont come into dramas. Go to www.dynamco.com.au and have a look around. you can build your own alarm with features you want. Hooking up the window winders is pretty easy - just a couple of relays and some clever thinking.

Ive never seen a red 260RS before. THought they only made them in black or white. Nice car - big $$$ eh. I like the whole neat but incredibly functional look - its not too over the top. Big fan!

I think there are a few stageras in perth now Main points - ask them if it is black wiring. check with them to see if it meets australian standards for alarm/immob's. (you can get lower insurance premiums) also ask if it has the ability to add things on later. a lot of aftermarket alarms allow you to add (for very little cost - $15 to $50) things like glass breakage sensors, shock sensors, tilt sensors, as well as automated window shut (if you arm it with your windows down it will automatically wind them all up - very cool).

Buy three blank GTR emblem keys off ebay for $50 each. Buy an alarm immob that hooks up to ur factory central door locking and have it installed for $200. You now have three new keys and a siren alarm immob.

Queenslander. Not entirely sure what the rules are for p-platers up here but yeah i know they cant have turbos or V8's. just throw a whole bunch of ballast in the car and take it to a weighbridge. But would a police officer really pull over a wagon just randomly? Unless it had a pretty decent kit and huge wheels etc they wouldnt look twice at a stagea unless you were doing something pretty crazy in it????

Yeah thats the factory dayz Aero kit (what im looking for) and wheels. I think i will go with the impor my own car option tho, tends to work out much cheaper (in this case 7-8grand) as ive been shown a fair few in japan.

Spotted a white Stagea at metro nissan brisbane today. Nismo kit? Definitely nismo sideskirts. Actually a mate spotted it :-) and sent me a pic saying "ahhh so THATS a stagea... now i understand why you want one..." Bit pissed that he has seen one in the flesh, and i still havent ever seen one except for photos!

What is ur project 1600....?? PM me if ur selling, with some specs and details! But yeah S1 prices seem to be dropping a fair bit with more and more S2's and even M35's becoming readily available. THere are heaps to choose from nowadays, so for a quicker sale i guess it either needs to be a REALLY nice car, or priced very competetively, to sell. Which is good for us buyers. There is an S2 for sale 5spd manual RS Four S with 75,000km, Work 18" wheels, Cusco Zero coilovers, nismo exhaust, blitz EBC/turbo timer, full dayz aero body kit which i was quoted $20k landed and complied. Its pearl white and i want black lol so i said no. Point is if u were looking at putting all that gear in an S1, its probably just as cheap to buy the S2. EDIT- a manual S2 with all those mods would be about $4k cheaper, even. Nismo kit - $800. Painting and fitting - $2000+ Work 18x9s with rubber - $3000?? Cusco Zero Coilovers - $1500?? Nismo cat back - $600?? Blitz Timer and EBC i got no idea how much Those prices are just guesses, beats me the actual cost. But would it be cheaper to sekk ur current car and buy soemthing thats had the basic steps already done?

Guess its like the xenons. If i buy a car and it turns out its got em, i figure ive paid for them and i want the choice of using them. Its a risk i'd happily take. Not that it is cold enough here in sunny QLD to warrant needing to warm ur car up. Getting ur air con running for a few minutes before u get in, maybe...? Do the stageas with this remote start come with a failsafe fitted?

For a car to be imported it really only needs to meet 2 of a possible 4 criteria, im pretty sure. Power-weight is only one of these four. Also, pretty sure you wont find an auto 260RS. Manual 260RS you can get for as little as $21,000 L+C'd. as per - http://autos.yahoo.co.jp/ucar/search/detai...;clid=221025001 Auto S2's are pretty common, you can pick one up with full dayz aero kit, aftermarket suspension, exhaust, 18s etc tscope of mods in an auto for $15k landed and complied, with less than 80,000km (genuine or not) Ive just sifted through 800 stageas over the last few days :-) to buy my own. Have a look through the japan auctions. If you cant find what you want among 800 stageas, buy a liberty. :-)

Is front door rust a common problem with S2's as well? or mainly just the S1's? Any S2 owners with rust under their mirrors?
