Has anyone had their car complianced in Bris and had them let you keep them? My car will be making its way over shortly, and would love to at least have the option there. Its a feature we pay for so i would like to have it. The risk of being picked up for using them is one im willing to take....
-
Im under the impression it is illegal to have one in ur car? Or is it okay as long as you have a failsafe making sure your car is in neutral (or park)? I know friends who have them on their motorbikes due to having dry sumps etc.... but are you allowed to have them under ADR? PS Bloody hope mine has one...

If you install an immobiliser/alarm you can hookup the factory central locking etc to ur new remote, and throw ur factory one away. Any place that installs them should be able to do this no worries.

Another Ebay Tryon For The Unwary
Lil_Bobby_260 replied to mike40sydney's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
it does say RS four, Even says RS Four in the title, and in the description states that it has an R32 RB26 GTR engine in it.... - id say theyve done it just to get hits fom ppl who are looking for a 260RS. Same as when guys selling skylines write 'nissan skyline, 32 GTR, NOT supra, evo, soarer" and so on. -

Lil_Bobby_260 replied to timheather's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Haha youre joking!!! Do you have prices or can you get photos or something? For a white S2 Dayz (with its sweet bodykit), looking at about 20,500 L+C'd. With lowered susp, exhaust sys, set of 18's, 75,000km. Black ones are about 5k more. -

What Do You Think Of This Colour?
Lil_Bobby_260 replied to Zoikeh's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
A blood orange colour would good with dark charcoal wheels but im not sure about it on white, hey... Get ur wheels painted haha How about the light pearl green on the new mazda 3? youd be the first person to have any car other than a mazda 3 with that paint and it looks very nice in the sun. -
You'll probably get more responses in the general automotive forum than in one limited to the small amount of ppl on here who drive stageas.

I dont know... lot of orange cars getting around lately. If you can find a decent sky blue/silvery pearl - i think there is a toyota colour they used on camrys and echos - i think it would look awesome. Just that orange has been done to death. And you'll look like a hotted up taxi. Go for a colour you dont normally see, is my opinion. But at the end of the day - its ur car. you'll be looking at it more than anyone else so you should be picking the colour :-) -

He stated that with the TS controller on, set to run 99.5% torque to the rears, he got better fuel economy. -
1978 Nissan Gloria Or S13 Silvia?
Lil_Bobby_260 replied to Lil_Bobby_260's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Awesome. Im hoping to get a few responses then show him the thread haha... I just figure that either way, itll be getting new suspension, brakes, gearbox, diff, computer, etc etc, its not going to matter performance wise which option is taken. Just it'd be cooler to have a gloria, that looks like its just had a slight hot rod style makeover, but houses an off its titty 2.0L. The Gloria comes with a 2.0L, 5 speed rear wheel drive setup, so i cant see many issues with compliancing dramas. Especially seeing as the thing is 30 years old. It will be a daily driver. -
Hey! Im actually on here buying a stagea but while im here, i have an issue that needs solving. The reason being is that between myself and a neighbour we own an SR20. Forged Pistons and rods, balanced crank, blueprinted cracktested block, Ported+ polished head, inlet manifold port-matched, bigger valves, Crow cams, adjustable cam gears etc, all built by PLR. Redline of about 9500. High compression N.A. engine. Might drop the compression later and run a turbo/supercharger. But for now it makes plenty of mumbo. Question is - what does it go in? Obviously a RWD Manual. His idea is to buy a cheap S13 with a blown / tired engine and do it up. I reckon go a lil more old school, throw it in something different that still suits the driveline, bit of a sleeper, something cool looking with a lil class that will get peoples attention and admiration. Not just another S13. I found a nissan gloria... What would you choose? Consider that whichever car is taken, brakes, suspension, differential, gearbox and clutch etc will be uprated to suit the transplant. This is the gloria - Or another one of these.... :-( Thanks guys!!! Robbie

If my car was over in aus by now i'd either A) swap your kit for my DAYZ one, or B) Let my front bar be used to make a mould. as long as i could get it back in as new condition... not sure about how they make these moulds.... My driveway isnt that steep.
-
What car are the moulds being made from? Have you got a donor organised yet?
-
Wouldnt you shit your pants tho while you watched the steering wheel get ripped out of your hands as you and the front of the car parted ways... He's probably got the steering wheel mounted on his wall. Unless his mate embedded it in his forhead when they dumped whats left of his car on his front lawn.

Just dont scratch your bonnet. Or do what i did and leave very clear marks in the dust. It was pretty clear beyond a shadow of a doubt what the imprints were. We've all done it.... -
So its also street driven...? And does this mean you can send us goodies like intercoolers, injectors, mufflers, and hello kitty facewashers?

Drift Project...???? Custom work...???? 3" Stainless all the way then?

Making Your Stagea A Fuel Miser
Lil_Bobby_260 replied to groonsnout's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Toyota quad cam. 1UZ i think. They came in the toyota aristo ZiFour's. AWD V8. was an option instead of the 2JZGTE twin turbo 3L RWD. -
Either that or i got stooged into a pricey system. But it DID sound nice. Tough raspy note, sounds great throttling down, and wasnt irritating while cruising even tho it was fairly loud under the pedal. And that was just a Mazda 3.

Buyer's Guide - The Nissan C34 Stagea
Lil_Bobby_260 replied to GoldZilla's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Very helpful section!!! saves a lot of questions form guys like me!! How much would something like this be worth? Not available, but still. How much would it go for over here, what would you pay for it? 1999 RSfour S, Dayz, Wheels, suspension, 5 speed, 75,400km. If only it were black... If i find a car i like on yahoo auctions or similar, how do i go about getting it imported (shipped and complianced etc)? can i go through j-spec or is there someone else you'd recommend? Thanks guys! -
The idea of a resonator is to cut out drone at specific frequencies/revs. For example, With my mazda i got an exhaust system with a resonator set for the rpm the car does at 60kmh and 100kmh. You'll find that normally your freer flowing, noisier exhaust that certain rpm wil drone and resonate through the car more than others. Go to your exhaust shop and let them know what RPM your car sits at when ur cruising and tell them you want that quietened. and they will give you a resonator for eg from 2200 to 2800rpm. What this did was give it a sporty note, without droning while you cruise. Brand names typically have more research and development to create a higher flowing exhaust, without the noise of a cheap and nasty.
