  1. Pffft, the Nirimba campus is only half an hour away from Penrith, so come early, watch people having fun (and even jump in for a ride with someone), then head to lunch. Problem solved!
  2. I think the dude that owns that works there (right near the smash repairer's), I've seen it parked there a few times.
  3. A "screamer" is where the waste-gate gasses coming off the turbo are vented to atmosphere instead of being channelled back into the exhaust, and because it's not muffled, it sounds like a scream. Your exhaust should be fine if it's street legal. C'mon, do it! Bring the spare tyres if you think you'll need them - it's better to have them and not need them, rather than need them and not have them. If you do wear out a set of tyres, at least you'll still have a set to get you home safely.
  4. Some of those YouTube movies are from studios that no longer exist, or similar circumstances where there's no-one left to claim royalties or whatever; others are there because they're available (or have been released) under a Creative Commons licence. http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2012/06/monday-night-web-movie-500-full-length-movies-you-can-stream-completely-free/
  5. Yep, Texi is well worth it - it's not exactly drifting, but you will learn a bit about what you and your car are capable of (or not!). First-time entry fee = $35 AASA Licence = $50 (lasts for a year) Helmet = approx $80-300, depending on what you want. Wear long sleeves, long pants, enclosed shoes, and you're set!
  6. August? That's, like, years away!
  7. I'll need to replace mine soon too, both for bonnet and bootlid.
  8. Nah, I bought the last clutch myself, Dale, and had Unigroup install it. Sourced the Nismo myself again, but Unigroup were flat-chat and I wanted my car back, so I got another local mechanic to do it, about 2mins drive and in the same suburb as Unigroup. We deal with them a lot, so I know they do good work too. Oh, and here's the supposed "heavy duty" Exedy job - less than a year in the car: It's butter-soft, Brian. Loving it so far! And no, it wasn't cheap, but they do come with a matching lightened flywheel which kind of makes up some of the cost.
  9. Oh yeah, I got my clutch replaced on Friday - out with the supposedly heavy duty Exedy, in with a Nismo twin-plate. Getting used to a new clutch and re-acquainting myself with driving a manual at the same time, after roughly 5 weeks of rolling around in only autos.
  10. You should have spotted at least three C34s there, Raf - my green s1, StageIan's red s2 and Bodella's white s2. We were all parked in the same row, pretty close to each other. Oh, on Friday arvo I spotted a gold M35 on the main street of Wentworthville (Dunmore Street) while I was driving my old man's car (dark silver Audi A4), then spotted it again about half-an-hour later on Targo Road in Toongabbie just after I'd picked up my car.
  11. Hmm, I think I asked that Lainy bloke for a part to be measured ages ago, just after he got his hands on the wreck, actually. Still waiting for a reply... Bloody Skoda drivers!
  12. So where's the thread, Luke? Doing this any time soon?
  13. I came from my mum, but I think my dad had something to do with it too...
  14. Is that one of those Volvo-looking things?
  15. Wow, I can't remember the last time I saw a Sigma wagon.
  16. Pfft, the best Nissan is a 34, but it's a WGNC34!!!

    Eoi!

And then about 600x that to concrete/tarmac it!
  18. I've transported: new foam double-bed mattress, which took a bit of convincing to "fold" so it would actually fit through the tailgate aperture; about 9 of those large plastic tubs and about 10 of those cardboard boxes of paperwork (in one go) when my sister's old boss was moving her business out of a small factory warehouse and into her garage; plenty of trips to Ikea; a pair of R32 GT-R front seats and matching rear bench; my dogs (used to have a German Shepard x Rottie male, he weighed in around 45kgs; still own a pure Border Collie, she's not that big though); 4x 18" wheels and tyres plus 3x backpacks full of photography gear when I went with two friends to Wakie last year. Can't really remember much else at the moment.

    Eoi!

LOL, okay smarty pants. Car should be back on the road this weekend - clutch replacement is booked for Friday - so I'll let you know then.

    Eoi!

Corinne, as Eric mentioned, the Events section is only used for when something has been planned with a set date, time, and schedule of what's meant to be going on (cruise/meet/WTFBBQ or whatever).
  21. Kings Langley, Rudi? I live nearby in Toongabbie. ...or a tripod, Theo. Good photos, though! Wish I could have come, but even if I didn't already have to go to the engagement, my car is off the road at the moment anyway. New clutch should be in this week - can I haz some Nismo stripes now too?
  22. I *might* too, pending the date it's set for.
  23. Alright, seeing as the other EOI thread i sup, I will close this one, and further discussions can continue there.
