  1. First post changed, this is locked in!!! Friday, August 17th, people! Meet at 7pm, Homebush P6.
  2. LOL, my car was barely running, so at least you guys had a chance of having your car in the magazine!
  3. Try posting in the "Wanted to Buy" section as well: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/13-wanted-to-buy/
  4. Alright, that's enough of all that. This is a PUBLIC forum, after all, so no more pics of scantily-clad girls here - there's a section for that already... Nibibo, if you are serious and want to contribute to this forum and its community, your best bet is to actually make an effort when you post something. Tell us about yourself, what you want to get from the forums, what kind of car you drive (or pushbike/skateboard you ride), where you work/study, etc. And if you have posted a question, there's no need to repost it again and again in other sections of the forum. Use full sentences, provide some decent information (especially if it's to do with problems you are having with your car), and pls dunt typ lyk dis, okay? Your English doesn't have to be perfect, but at least make an effort...
  5. Laurie, I sent you a PM over 2 months ago (as seen below) and never received a reply. I could not email you because you never provided an email address, and usually when I am free to call you it is often beyond 10pm. I have, unfortunately, been extremely busy since then... I did receive your cheque and it is still here, uncredited to the Club's account - I'm either nowhere near a bank branch when I have the cheque, or don't have the cheque when I might be near a branch.
  6. Silver s2 R33 four-door parked on level 5 (or upper 5, can't remember exactly) of Parra Westfields tonight around 7pm.
  7. This man, he shares wise words!
  8. Looks like it's sold anyway, I just checked the link.
  9. I'm hopefully going too.
  10. LOL, I was in that area too around 11am this morning. I spotted a white s2 on my way home - NEO-747 - on the M4 between around Eastern Creek until we both got off at Prospect Highway. Also spotted a silver s2 in Greystanes turning off Merrylands Road, just after I was talking to someone about my car and the 4(!) Datto 1600s that he owns.
  11. All sold? Good work! Want me to lock the thread now?
  12. Pffft, you're just cranky you gave up the dream...
  13. Here's one I can't claim credit for - it was actually shot by Owen ("cpd" here on the forums) one afternoon just after I picked him up from work to go to an SAU-NSW meeting. IMG_1151 by GoldZilla, on Flickr
  14. Congrats Richie!
  15. Agreed. In fact, all of the shots of Fappy's S15 are great, Matt. Thanks Kory, I've taken a few shots here and there, it's just a matter of finding the time and/or energy to edit and post them up. Love that shot of the front of the FD3 RX7, too! Jay, I'm absolutely loving your night and LED light-painting shots, and using the old tricycle in those shots takes it to a new level again!
  16. I need to replace mine, too. One of my map lights is dead, the other is useless because it's too dim, and I was going to change the main centre one to keep it consistent. I think I'm just going to go to JayCar.
  17. Spotted Theo, Alex, Ryan, Shaun and Gavin on Sunday @ Texi. Theo and Ryan, was awesome to see you guys out there cutting it up. Alex and Ryan, major thanks for helping out on the day - these events don't run without volunteers like yourself. Gavin, was good to meet you, too.
  18. Benji, you don't have to tell us EVERYTHING you do, we don't really need a play-by-play. For instance, you could have just said: See? So much easier, and people will stop looking at you as if you're bragging and attention-seeking... The main worry would be that your engine might be under more strain, but only if you don't give the oil time to warm up before you go out on your run. Just fire it up and let it idle for at least a good 5-10mins before you go on. The g-forces would *probably* be similar between Texi and a track day, so always make sure you have enough oil in your engine - it's advisable to add an extra litre before you go out. Too little oil (or starvation from oil not being in the right parts of the engine) is what kills them. As for braking, you're doing much lower speeds at Texi, it's mostly 1st and 2nd gear stuff.

  20. I don't think so, but I've programmed my alarm to lock the doors once the ignition has been on for about 5 seconds. Might be worth seeing if your alarm can do the same.
  21. The first thing you should do in it, even before you bother with mods, is come and have fun in it THIS SUNDAY, 15th of July! Details: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/401924-s-a-u-n-s-w-texi-sos-15th-july-2012/
  22. And here's part 2! AutoCult.Net - Showcased - Sydney 2012, part 2.
  23. I'm thinking the same thoughts about the 86, too! I loved the original AE86 (or, more specifically, the AE85 we got here in Australia) since the day they were released, and would love to own the new one, but probably not in that orange and definitely not the blue ('cos it's a Subaru colour). Might look for one second-hand in a year or so, see how much they've depreciated, and then weigh up that against buying new (if I can afford to). I still think the original AE86 is a pretty timeless design, but the interior is a massive give-away to its age.
  24. Yeah they do, Dale. Tie-down points have saved me a few times, I'm sure.
