  1. Some more items I found today Item 1: RB 26 head Price: $50 or a case of beer Condition: This came out of my last engine. It has some damage on the cam journals, missing 2 or 3 caps, every exhaust valve is bent but intake valves are fine. It has been ported and it made 426 RWKW at 24 psi using -5's. Maybe a few caps and a tunnel bore with some new valves would make it usable, I don't know. If it doesn't sell, i'll turn it into a coffee table. Item 2: Sparco quick release Price: $45 Condition: Brand new. I just wont use it. Item 3: Tomei Type A springs and retainers Price: $150 Condition: Fine. Came out of the head above. I'm not 100% sure on the retainers, possibly factory. These were in the head for 35,000 kms. Item 4: OEM RB26 coil packs Price: $100 Condition: I think we ran into issues around 400-410 rwkw mark. I believe IIRC we changed the ignitor at the same time. These were on the car for no more than 7,000 kms.
  2. The PPG dog sets or the helical synchro. I've spoken to their sales guy at length. He reckons the dog box is fine, just man up. We have 3-4 guys that will be buying a set at once, just a matter of when.
  3. Interesting. Be pretty keen to see what you think of it and how noisy it'll be. I can't make up my damn mind with my box.
  4. What PPG set did you get? When is it going in?
  5. Wouldn't have a clue mate.
  6. Any shuffle low end, Jez?
  7. Pull it out. It's not needed.
  8. 32 box seems to fall over after 370-390. 33-34 air boxes can go well past that. Having said that, the power you're making is not a bad result.
  9. Cams - sold Rail - sold No love on the seat?
  10. And replied. Rail gone - cashola pending.
  11. ^^^ and a real front diff . Stock fronts belong in the dumpster.
  12. No. The head needs to be relieved for the cam lobe, not the caps.
  13. Wheels sold - payment pending.
  14. They're all the same.
  15. My understanding is the Pro is adjustable where as the normal 1.5 is not.
  16. Get a new coil harness. Those things get roasted over the years. Not that expensive and will eliminate another point of failure.
  17. R33 GTR coils don't have ignitors built in, only the 34's do. But yeah, I threw the standard ignitor module which lives on the cover in the bin, wired the new one in and bingo, no more missfire. Same thing happened with Joeys car at around the same power (400 ish rwkw). Also sent one to Melbourne (DAZ) and it worked for him too. He is making close to 500 kw on chequered's dyno.
  18. New coil harness, splitfires and a Morris tech ignitor box. Plug gap is 0.8 mm.I had a pretty HKS hold box but ended up turfing that and went down my current route.
  19. This. When I bought my car, the Sard 800's were in the standard rail. They fit a lot better in an 11mm rail though. Also, be careful with Jap rails. Make sure they have a "seat" in the rail for the injector to but up against. I know the Sard rails don't.
  20. I really don't think you need to reinvent the wheel for that grunt. Many people have done it on very basic setups. CDI's and stuff really ain't needed.
  21. ^^ How much power are you after?
  22. There is a aftermarket ignitor which fixed my ignition issues and also Joeys. http://www.moristech.com.au/Moristech%20Price%20List%201st%20August%202010.pdf 6 channel, replaces the standard one. Mine lives tucked up in the footwell.
