  2. Lol. Buys car with fresh 2.6, tries a few things and realises it's still a nugget. Cracks the shits and goes all out with the biggest stroker on the market. This guy is alright! Can't wait for that first message or phone call when it's all finished!!!!
  3. You need a non V-Spec rear housing and shafts. Do it, piss that A-LSD crap off!
  4. They should go north of 550 wkw, especially with the larger rear housings he has.
  5. Am I?You bumped a 12 month old thread to tell me I'm an idiot! The point I was trying to make is that you can't just flick through a trust/Nismo/HKS/whatever and pick parts and expect some awesome result. An example. A SARD fuel rail. Looks pretty, duel entry single out. Sounds sweet yeah? The bloody piece of shit doesn't have a seat for the injectors to push up against. Waste of time. Kakimoto Full Mega N1 exhaust. Looks mad with it's bit tough cannon. Has some 2 inch restrictor/"silencer"/taper down/whatever you want to call it in the rear muffler. You're so called "90 mm exhaust" now because a 50. Waste of farken time. Tomei Expreme RB 26 stainless manifolds. Cost a fortune, look pretty. Made from shit stainless that crack and also offer no performance advantage. I've personally done a back to back. A mate has a Evo Tomei manifold sitting on his garage floor because they're cracked. Make a good paperweight though! Two quick examples that quickly came to my head. Have fun with your catalogues, mate!
  6. "Stock"
  7. Do yourself a favour and buy a non v spec housing and a proper centre in it. V spec diffs are junk.
  8. Next we will be dragging out compressor maps to see where our valves will float. The point is, power itself doesn't influence where or when this issue will arise. Boost, revs and ramp rate of the cams are it. If the engine makes 200 hp at 15 psi at 6500 rpm and it floats, why would it float earlier with 600 hp at 15 psi at 6500 rpm?
  9. Yeah but 20 PSI on a stock turbo isn't going to make the same power as something three times the size.
  10. PSI is VERY relevant.I can't see how power can make any difference seeing that both valves are shut when it goes "bang". Boost pushing against the intake valve is a big contributing factor in float.
  11. No way. I need some sort of advantage with all you blokes and 3.0 + litres .
  12. They ever tell you what compression ratio you ended up with?
  13. Gonna plumb the gates back in, Pete or let it sing?
  14. It was the 1.05. I had the same thoughts in my head before I got in it. Yes it had v cam BUT it also had a F con v pro which was half assed tuned on a 37 degree day. I can't see the point in going back to the 0.92 IWG, it went that well. So much untapped potential that's for sure.
  15. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422006-front-cusco-lsd-on-gtr/ Have a read. In all seriousness, if I had my time over again diffs would be in the group of first mods I would do to a stock car. The stock stuff, especially the front is trash.
  16. Are you sure you need them, Eric? My -5's have been in the car since 2011 and don't have any restrictors at all. No issues to date.
  17. A real front diff. Best handling mod you can do to these things. V spec or not.
