Cant get over how quickly it happened! A reshell may not be too expensive as it looks as though lots of the car can be re-used

Just got back from Phillip Island and the good news is a did a 1:48/1:49. Need to look closer at the footage to see what the actual time is. The bad news is I backed to back the footage of the car on the track before I put on the 6boost and Plazmaman inlet and the old setup hammered the current in a straight line. So compression test the engine and pulling off the Plazmaman. I was in two minds but you see how much quicker then car was with the std inlet and there is no contest. Its that obvious -

Where did you score that from? They are normally very well priced but locally they are a rip off. Was my preference over Sparco as they are basically a Cobra seat -
Cool, I heard the other day that SAU-NSW is having a track day in December? Is that the SAU Track Day you are talking about? I will be up for Xmas so would be great to finally get back on a NSW track...and just quickly. My car went ok at the Nats. Need some tyres and more talent as it wasnt overly quick

To me defending Hamo is like trying to defend Webber when he took out Hamo at the Aus GP last year with a few laps to go. You can see how it happens, no real crime. Just sloppy driving. How the hell Massa got a penalty? Well thats where I get frustrated as all the sooking and sulking and playing victim seems to be paying off for Hamo. It seems if you drive like a tool often enough and gripe about being victimised then people will get gun shy. Fark him...lol but I think I have said that already Bring back the Hamo of mid last year. He was racing hard with the occasional woopsie trying to be aggressive and his attitude seemed ot have transformed from early in his career. This year he has gone backwards, hell I prefer the arrogant Lewis to the sulking Lewis. I wonder how much of if really is his Mrs doing a runner....and no support network away from the track?

I have never really checked my blind spot. I am just used to using mirrors and never had an accident to date. Also, when Count gets back from his little OS jaunt he better change my thread name back -

Become an engineer Yeh, the head restraints make it a bit curly. If my car was log booked with CAMS it would be a lot easier. As is I think I will push it through -

I like the way you think...but no. I am staying at Lagwagons's place(Lee) so anybody that stays needs to throw cash his way -
I am in a solid 10th position. I consider this a win since this is the 18th weekend I have tipped Webz for the win

Not the rotors. Its all tied back to the Performance Friction PFC06 pads I was running. They didnt like street driving and resutled in uneven pad deposits on the rotors. Then the problem was I didnt get the rotors ground when installed RB74s so had problems bedding the new pads because the old PFC06 material was still on the rotor. This mean the RB74s kept glazing. So after every session I removed the pads and gave them a rub on the concrete and all was good for a few laps until they glazed over again. Each session they got better, I am expecting at PI this weekend I may have to do it one more time but I think I have just about all the old pad material removed y just general use -

So car is booked in for rail install the week after next. About time I get the rails from underneath teh desk at work and in the car. Keen to get the interior finally sorted in my car....though a little sad that this will mean the demise of the ability to install road seats New weld in chrome moly mounts New OMP side mounts And new Sparco seat -

Pm me your number Matt we can catch up for a quiet one on Fri night. -
I need to change the oil in the 32 before Phillip Island this week. Pretty sure that will remove the desire from building a DR30 rather then hire cars and giggles

Really? I am running the same spring rates (albeit with different shocks) and my car is fine. In fact I think it could be lacking a little spring all round and considering going up in spring rates now that I dont have my larger swaybars. Tossing and turning over that decision, I either need my old swaybars back or more spring. I dont think 8 & 6 on shocks that are of reasonable quality and condition are a problem on a GTSt running good quality semi slicks? I used to run what you propose spring rate wise on my old Bilsteins and on semis it scraped its door handles on the ground in the bends. -

Well I am in for the Saturday. More running and longer sessions means I can finally get to do some laps and build up to some smooth laps. Will see what mood I am in after Saturday as not sure how much tyre I will have left after Saturday/ I am staying at Smiths Beach so will need to catch up, I am down on Friday afternoon having a swim and chilling -
Thats why I love the Schroth. Was in and out of a friends rally car and they are so easy to adjust....no kicking and screamign trying to tighten the lower belts because a different person has jumped in the car

And if you are going to install rails for a race seat don't use the Bride Low Max or whatever they are called. Use the other Bride rails which seem to be better for race seats ie Don't use this one. I do and they are farking garbage. I have twice welded gussets and whilst it gets better , the saying "you cant chrome dog shit" comes to mind You can see where the side mount goes that it is essentially one big cantilever and easily distorts with some load on it These are the ones that are generally better from what I have been told. Though I have wiped them all and going back to custom...

GTR OE is hollow vs Whiteline solid so slightly different. You wont find Whiteline part numbers for the bars that Russel runs. Like I said they are my old custom ones and not off the shelf catalogue items. When you factor in the money for deliveyr etc and their generally cheap price. Just buy a set, that way you have a proven swaybar receipt. -
Edit. Just ask yourself do you really need a harness in your car. Are you really going to track it. A seat and harness install can be very dangerous if not done correctly.
-
I am with Duncan on most points. However with R34 seats you are really limited to running a 4 point harness. You can buy a 4 or 6 point but the reality is you cant use the crotch strap on a std R34 seat. So unless you have plans of going to a race seat then I am not convinced you need to incur the price premium over a 4 point harness as you are limited by seats. I personally think you are wasting your money going to Nismo harness, especially when you can have a top quality schroth, Willans, Sparco/Sabelt etc harness. If I could justify the money I think the Schroth Profi II-Enduro is about the best out there. My budget is only $800 for two harnesses as I am shopping for a set for my new seats. Having a daily R34, your best bet is a full harness bar that bolts behind the back seat, renders your back seat useless, but a harness bar or half cage are IMO a miniumum if you want to safely run a harness in a Skyline. So from there its jsut a matter of getting a harness that you like, try to get good quality alloy buckles and quick release straps.

Must be something to do with being white I hope all is well with Neil and car. It was mighty impressive the progress he was making. With some luck its finished and will soon be able to be enjoyed after all that labour
