  1. Results? The new rippers isnt a shadow of the last place!
  2. If its pure cosmetics then its up to the individual. But if you want the best track rims then sadly its TE37, GT4 or in 17" TC05s. They are forged, light, durable, and have the biggest internal clearances for brake setups and lower temperatures in operation. CE28s dont clear brakes as well, ditto the Enkei range of wheels. It sux that all the Work rims are pretty much heavy cast jobbies with sh1thouse brake clearance. I have never tried the NT03, so would be interesting. I would love a set but they are carnts to clean. So, as much as i dont rate TE37s, since Marlin and Bel180, Baron have MY TC05s, which in 17s actually clear some 355mm brake setups....well its what I am running
  3. RB26 bottom end has been spoken for. Both sets of solid lifters are on hold. And the free Procams have a new home.
  4. Ok, so 10mm spacers...hmmm. may be the go
  5. Thanks, I understand that if i go GTR style offsets I will clear the suspension. But I want to use all the available space, so a +22 offset will leave a sea on the inside and cause issues for the guard. I am hoping there is a number around +30 to +44 or something that allows for inner guard clearance
  6. Thanks, but the problem is the std rims are so small and no real help when trying to work out clearances for a 10" rim. Hopefully somebody has fitted some decent sezied rim AND tyre in the bum and can work out if these +44s will fit. I want to run a 265 rear tyre on the 10" rim
  7. Big thanks to mootman for taking the time on the weekend to take some good pics of a DECA day in Vic.
  8. Nice pics Mootman. I am the guy in the silver GTSt ... sorry if i gave you a bit of a fright by backing it into the cones where you were standing taking those pics on the Long Wang Thanks for sitting out there in the blazing sun all day getting cool snaps!
  9. Nah do it! That way we can compares uber tyred GTSt to povo speak tyred GTSt
  10. I know it has been asked a thousand times before. But I cant find a thread that touches on it. I have an R32 GTSt and looking at a rear pair of wheels that are 17 x 10" +44. Not sure what the offset limits are for clearing the inner suspension? Anyone? I am not concerned about outer guard, just need to know what sized offsets you can run before you have problems with fouling the shock-suspension etc
  11. I feel the cage is too close to the seat and doesnt really hug the b-pillar close enough. Maybe I am being too picky for a bolt in....pm me an email address and i will get you some photos
  12. Can you post up a quick sketch of the cage you are proposing for an R32. I am not 100% happy with mine but my requirements may not fit with the cage you are looking to construct. I do want to retain bolt in. My car will be in Sydney over Xmas, or can get it up there at your convenience. he cage I am looking for isnt too hard core with diagonals that restrict access to the rear seat, which i need to retain some access to for packing up tools, bags and wheels between it and the boot when heading off to a track day
  13. Does an R32 GTSt really need that much tyre? Surely 255/40/17s on a 17X9.5 +22 will give you all the grip you need, with about 20kgs less weight in total, of which will be sprung weight!
  14. Why spacers? Do the 10.5s hit the suspension, or are you two whacky kids just got track on the brain?
  15. Oh well, was told years ago not to mess with it, I had stumbled onto a freakishly good setup for an RB20. But I am an idiot and like to tinker. So new IC, manifold, gate etc sees me with more or less the same power (probably still a tad less) ...oh, and as for everything being good in the world? Well, the car is back to trying to kill me which is fun. But bloody Belgium have gone quiet when i expected news by the end of last week so
  16. I just run pump 100RON from United. I am too lazy to try IY race fuel these days. Dane, you SUCK!
  17. Decent fuel, boost and ignition and the lil 20G will liven up the power delivery in 3rd gear
  18. re the Europe is expensive. Its pretty sad when you go to some of the most expensive cities in the world only to realise they are cheaper then Melb and Sydney for food, accomodation, beers and a social night out! I had a ball in Germany, Italy, Belgium and London about two months ago a the tail end of the European summer. Airfares around Europe make things cheap as well! Depressing...thats why I am trying to get back there to live-work How crazy were the locals over Moto GP and their new World Champion?
  19. Friendly bump, better sold then sitting around in my wardrobe, however not very flexible on price.
  20. Still for sale, still sitting in a box.
  21. Nobody has a cheap intercooler and looking for piping? May be able to provide the piping that goes from under the battery to throttle body with the HKS cooler pipes for $350 total.
  22. Care to share what brand those lower arms are?
  23. Well, with a bit more ignition, running the gate atmo I have found a bit more power. This will be serving as the baseline tune for the install of the Plazmaman plenum (finally) and some Tomei cams over the next two weeks. Will be interesting to see what differences the two mods make. I am hoping for about 285rwkws and a bit more mid and less drop off from the cams and plenum...but I suspect the car will be laggier, more peaky and generally crap compared to how it is now "...dont fix what aint broke" Also, regarding traction....this is on crappy Nanakangs So if you have traction problems with 180rwkws, or anything under 250rwkws then you really need to look at the quality of shocks and spring rates you are using along with the wheel alignment. The vid shows problems with my car under brakes, but thats because I did not bother to put my brake setup back on the car as the intent of the weekend was to get some more running on the setup and check out the tune. A brake upgrade on the rear does not work with std brakes on the front
  24. Doesnt this suck. One car is always going to suit the rules better then others. Either join em or just enjoy yourself or wait for the rules to change, which they will....most likely to suit a newer, quicker car packed full of gadgets from the factory
