  1. Look up the Motec website and go to one of theoir training seminars for techs using their ECU. What you learn will carry over to other ECUs. LOL i love how some tuners show have done this course run around saying they are Motec tuners, implying that they once worked for Motec
  2. Shopping out of an AP or Wilwood catalogue makes it easier to decide on number of cooling vanes etc. And good spot on the 296mm Proj U rotors that fit the R32 GTR, i never realised. Thats about the perfect upgrade for thge Silvia lads, 296mm is plenty of rotor up front, though the R34 310mm GTT rotor would be ideal budget banger setup and 17" wheel combo
  3. LOL, you guys must have better eyes then me and a smoother ride at light speed on the straights. At speed when i glance down to look at things i cant read the Power Fc readout if it has any more then two lines being displayed, even when on steering column. Thats where the alarms and warning lights are great...just means you have to se them conservative so that you know when you have to start looking down
  4. Hey there are plenty of guys in Europe/US making big numbers in BMWs, Ford Sierras, GM/Dodge/Mustangs etc who get the job done with way more torque then we have
  5. Ok, from Japan you will also find you have Biot Endless Apex (The only company I know of that makes off the shelf 2pce for the 296mm rotor R32 GTR) If you look through the AP and Wilwood range I don’t doubt you will also find the correct sized rotors leaving you to go custom hats to suit.
  6. Thanks for the few offers i have received but nto willing to go any lower then $400
  7. Good quality exhaust, in good condition with mufflers showing no signs of corrision. Any takers/offers?
  8. "If they come in here with a gun and hold it to my head, they had better be sure they can f**king pull the trigger. And they should make sure it's got bullets in it because, if they miss, they better look out," Ecclestone warned.
  9. PMs replied. For others that are going to ask they do not come with lines but they do come with street pads. Any number of places sell lines for these calipers and Nissans off the shelf
  10. So, with Superlap and Targa jut around the corner has anyone heard of people getting a head start by using the newer compounds of tyres?
  11. Farkin GTR owners! How dare they soil the good name of Datsun owners.
  12. So close, cant wait!
  13. Its just that you can get Proj Mu locally and they are nowhere near as expensive as Performance Friction from lcoal suppliers
  14. Dont know about Cup Cars, there is no way i will get near a properly driven one. But 996 GT3s including the GT3RS are no quicker then my GTSt, with me actually being regularly quicker. LOL, one for the battler
  15. Just give Racepace a call. It may be difficult to price the rebuild when you can look at the condition of the shocks to start with. I shouldnt do this as i was going to buy them but give me until late tonight and i will get you the info on some cheap new Teins. They are perfect because any Racepace costs will be simply spring and revalving, not rebuilding.
  16. I dont have ABS so woudl rather run a less bitey/racey pad in the rear so that i do not have the risk of pinching rear brakes. Plus is it required to run the same temp pad at the rear? I have previously run a milder pad at the rear
  17. Thanks for the clarification. Phil, would be great if you could have a look.
  18. I was not having a dig at all. The std of driving thru the field is better then i could ever do. Anyway, if i had any one of the cars out there i doubt i would be able to race it becuase of the cars value and the expense to source parts and repair. So massive wraps for both punting the cars in the first place and doing it as well as you all do. But, there are street cars in the car club that are quicker and it has always left me wondering, has car development come that far in the past 20years? Are semi slicks that much better then the tyres that were run 20years ago. Or does the old power vs weight with good grip will bag you better time? So for me it was good to see the M3 show the turn of speed it did Any truth to the talk late last year that Richo, Seton and Bowe could be regulars this season? Be great to see, and i imagine as a competitor awesome to be racing against drivers of that calibre
  19. Ok, since the Aus dollar has tanked vs the US the cost of Performance Friction pads has meant i am now shopping for different pads to use. I am running 343mm fronts with Brembo F40s and R33 GTR rears with associated rotors. Being a GTSt i think i should have plenty of brake under the car so hoping to get away with performance street pads on the track. So have settled on Project U HC+ for the fronts but having not used these pads not sure which i should go for in the rear. Was thinking i should just go with the B-Spec? Thoughts?
  20. Yeh, anything with a bit of go in a straight line will cost big biccies. Plenty of go means you need plenty of woe. Which means your car is for show. So you will need lots of dough. So bank balance will be low...ah, farked if i know
  21. I am interested too. I have a new cooling system about ready to go on and would like to change the pulleys to alloy ones at the same time that underdrive my water and PS pumps
  22. Cool, will see how i go with the dollars for the body work. That will limit how much playing i do, the Plazmaman plenums were on special but fark it, it has now eneded If any RB20 lovers out there have a timing belt cover that has RB20 embossed in it i am looking for one. Mine is blank, might be year model related?!?!?!
  23. You have no idea how keen i am to get my car finished and tuned and over to your place Trent so i can get you to overlay the graph with Wheezy. I am always so slow with getting stuff done to my car. Doesnt help when i am not around to do the runnign around The one thing that stops me from going inlet manifold is that Wheezy's power curve is still climbing at 7,500rpm whereas mine has already hit peak power and rolling over. LOL i am not sure if that means i have more midrange and comes on earlier or we have similar mid but his plenum allows the top end to be alot stronger. If there is something to gain up top from a manifold i bloody well want it Want to see if we can get a mix that works with around 300rwkws and reasonable response. Its only a number and dont want to compromise the performance but i think there is enough of a chance that i am going to throw some money at it trying.
  24. Great work, he must be stoked as he has been out of the game for a while
  25. Any update Turboedsloth? My car is still to find its way tpo the mechanis but curious to know if your manifold / gate / boost issue has been resolved. My 6boost manifold will be going on and i have no idea if the Type R gate will do the job. Not bothered if i have to replace as i wouldnt mind going V-band HKS Type II 50mm wastgete
