  1. It bolts up but it doesnt look like it actually fits the rotor. They are made to suit a larger diam rotor that is 2mm thicker, if you run an R33 rear rotor the diameter will be closer but the the R33 rotor is 2mm ticker. So it looks close and there may be a workable solution in there but as is i would not be using them?!?!?!
  2. Love it. Good work Puts the challenge out there and now there is more eye candy for me whislt i sit in a hotel room in India thinking of ways to spend money i dont have
  3. LOL, i am yet to have somebody link me to a race classified website that i have not stumbled accross in my years of dreaming. That one is my particular favourite for Grp A Sierras and GT2/3 Porkas
  4. Doubt it will be all that fast, its not red! Althought beign Racepace kind of means the car has to be white
  5. LOL, they are still big money in the UK/Aus, so best i could hope for is a pov pack with sme nice Ruf lower lips etc and wheels
  6. No strippers in PI, unless you import them. In which case i am flying back !
  7. Any progress? Curious to see how this thing goes in a rwd platform
  8. More then that have you read the silly biz for budgets next year? Any team that wants to operate withing a 33million Euro budget does not have to comply with teh current regs that are good thru 2012. What the fark are the FIA playing at???? Makes no sense. The FIA and Bernie need a long hard look at themselves as they are meddling too much with something that aint brooken . What has been wrong with the past 3 seasons?
  9. Well just waiting for a friend to inspect and test drive, then comes the "breaking of thee's balls over price" . I am too nice when buying stuff hence why my mate will be offering sound financial advice when he goes into negotiations. Hopefully it comes off. This looks to be a nice enough example that i import it back to Aus. Though a friend pointed out that i should just export my R32 for the drive around?!?!? Sounded silly at first until we discussed it. Do you have to cancel local rego if you are going to export your car for a few months? I just think itsd easier to bring my garbage home then it is to export my garbage Plus we have just short listed a dirty Ford as well that is cheaper, more fun but no doubt a waste of money ...and yes i look at TVRs forthnightly. I want one bad, but even i am too practical and do not want to be spending too much cash on fixing stuff. The later the model the better, but they are all well over 20,000pound
  10. Type Flex have been replaced by Monoflex, which on paper should be better then the Super Streets as they are monotube. But i have not driven a car with them, whereas the SS i have and liked them. I would be running them if i didnt get the RA tweaked. The SS seem to be the easy turn key package that gives you soem flexibility with playing with ride heights to get right then damping to play with. Bilsteins were a decent enough thing in my car but as an off the shelf package they are not sport enough in my opinion for a weekend track/club car. You need to have played a little with them as djr81 has
  11. I think the AP CP5200 4 pot kit with a generic 330mm rotor is going to set you back about $3000, or about $2600 with a TR 324mm DBA 5000 rotor. For a 6 pot 355mm setup you can expect more like $4000 If you are a brand whore like me dont use the D4 etc stuff. If you care more about great bang for buck then they are really the only option other then the locall made B=Spec setups (formally known as CSC)
  12. We need the rwd gang to fly the flag, we need a time in the 49s
  13. Well Bernie is farking with the points this late in the game? Not sure what i think of the medal system. First reaction is its is a farce. But.... yeh its a farce, so a guy that clearly scores more points then another car, say 30 points who only wins 6 races vs the 7 of the guy that comes 2nd or 3rd in points doesnt win the champsionship?!?!?!!? Will have to see how it pans out. Other then last year i cant think of too many recent seasons where the guy that won the most races didnt win the WDC...so LOL can see serious contenders for the WDC cruising in races to ensure reliability for next rounds given engine and gearbox rules etc. If they want the guy in 2nd to have a go then surely they have stuffed the racing for the guys in 3rd and 4th who can only dream of getting a single race win to go with their season of podiums
  14. Depemds on what Quadrant wanted for the Bilsteins. If it works out significantly more then the Tein Super Streets then i suggest you just grab the Teins. I have turnbed into a bit of a fanboy for the SS now that i have driven a few cars with them. They qre very nice and i strongly recommend you drive a car with them first. Wouldnt hurt to ask Quadrant to give you the number of a customer to see if you can sample the finished product
  15. SK had lots of good advice on this forum. Sure nto everybody saw eye to eye with him and i am sure some of what he posted was incorrect. Nobody is perfect and its not right to write the guy off now that he isnt around. Its a public forum, so the usual caveat applies , the advice was free and you get what you paid for. In the case of the Group Buy for a long time the prices were good and people were happy...times change and no reason to right a guy off. Anyway, i have no stake in this...but he gave lots of his time and...yeh Tein RA or RE foer the win baby
  16. Yeh drivabaility will most likely go backwards...thats why i am going to use NAWS, close ratio dog box, high rise double pumper manifold and donuts with cream on top so that when it thits boost it opens a space time continuum
  17. i Dont know Ash, 4 years ao people said anything more then a 2530 and 220rwkws was too much for a std RB20. A new manifold and some different turbo combos are getting thrown at Ben and we will soon know where we land, it will be between 260 and 310rwkws somewhere. Just have to find the combo that works best, cant wait to see if the std 20 can handle the extra power and more importantly revs ...walks off and starts singing "anything an RB25 can do, and RB20 can do better...
  18. If you buy an R33 RB25DET it is easy to pick the difference as the inlet cam gear looks completely different and the inlet manifold is clearly different. Get an R32 RB25DE and turbo it, nobody can tell the difference externally. I was going to put 25 internals in one for a cheater RB20 but am happy with the 340hp at the wheels my std RB20 makes so sold off the engine, rods, cams and pistons etc
  19. Yeh its kind of cool. Would rather a white one but meh. It seems its going to be more like 20k as the guy isnt negotiable on price. It seems its worth the extra money over the cheaper ones bt will have to wait and see
  20. Stu, how tough are the EVO IIs and IIIs? Gearboxes, engines / diffs etc. If i was buying one what should i be looking for?
  21. So what turbo you got now? I thought you were going 3071? 18-19psi should bag you 250rwkws and i cant believe it can be any laggier then my TD06?!?!?!
