The beauty of the "Benno" GTR stuff that it works well on the track, but what amazes me is the ride and compliance. Going for drives in Snowmans car and driving Jag33s car from PI pissed me off as their suspension works amazingly well on the track and was more compliant and a nicer ride then the Whiteline Bilsteins in my car

a 150rwkws GTSt is perfectly fine with std brakes, std radiator. Just needs a fmic and an exhaust, i didnt even run an oil cooler for the first 3 years of track days. Throw some decent suspension under it and you have a cheap as hell reliable track car. I say cheap as you get 10 or so days out of pads, 6+ days out of tyres etc. If you happen to strip some weight out of it then throw in a decent seat and harness and you are done. I think with a budget of 10k you could easily get a neat GTSt going to the track.

I always had a feeling that the Group A cars were being underdriven a tad as the owners are not always gun professional drivers + their cars are expensive and often of significant historical value. But... http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....3/2009.PHIL.Q21 Wow, Seto jumps behind the wheel and blitzes them So glad to see one of the old Grp A cars turn a bit of genuine speed. I was starting to get concerned by the fact that my lil GTSt can do similar times

Just Jap G4 8 Piston Front Brake Kit
Roy replied to BMYHOE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey, i am agreeing. But last time i priced them AP CP5200 were $800-900 each and come with off the shelf meh pads which may be good to some may not. The 330mm rotor, adaptor and lines all came out of the remaining $1400. When you look at it with DBA 5000s it was easily under $3000. But yes that is not with race pads etc and is only a 4 pot caliper that can only take a 330 x 30mm rotor. Regarding the rest i again agree. The 6 pot APs are about $1200 each so then you piece together the rest. Thats why i went F40/50. There is plenty of well priced pads, good pad area, simpel and robust 4 pot caliper that covers a good range of rotor diameters. If a dust seal goes then beign 4 pot they are cheap to throw a seal kit at. I hate how all brake setups are so expensive. The B-Spec (CSC) 4 pots on 343mm rotors are about $2800-3100 from memory which are about the next level up from G2/D4 etc with regards to value. LOL, actually forget any talk of value with regards to brakes...they are all thieving bastards -
Sounds the biz...apologies, from what i read in other posts regarding the ViPec doing the logging etc and the fact that it was plug in i assumed it didnt have any external outputs for logging. So its great that it has 6 external analogue channels! Any other screen shots. Is it always 4 lines? You say 5 pages with each page beign able to show up to 4 channels. Does that mean you can only show one or two and get bigger font/readout on each page?

The Ruzic does seem to fill a gap, but the point for a data logger and dash is so that you can run sensors not associated with the ECU. A dash that only takes inputs from the ecu is great as its plug and play but doesnt tell you some other things you MAY want to know. Thats where a wire in dash MAY be better for some people

Very Very Worried My Fresh Engine Is Not Right
Roy replied to Italiazr1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Condensate in catch cans is not surprising, quite common. Easy thing to do is get a clean oil pan, remove the drain plug and see exactly how much oil comes out and what is in the oil. Get some fresh Castrol Edge 10W60 and throw 4.5L in there. Turn the engine over, make sure there are no noises, you have strong oil pressure etc then shut the engine down. Then go get new clear hose for your catch can, remove and clean the catch can then re-install with new clear hose. Then go do your normal day to day driving but dont thrash it. Just drive the thing normally under some load and see what the oil pressure is doing, you lines to the catch can and the level of oil n the sump and catch can. Dont panic, just be methodical about what it is you are doing. Odds are the miss is fine and not related. Lazy coil pack, faulty igniter or perhaps normal. My thing has a very small miss at idle its no biggie. But i have never lost a sump of oil before. Real silly question but when checing the oil were yo doing it in good light. I mean are you sure the dip stick wa going all the way in up to its shoulder when you were checkign it? Either way dumping the oil will soon confirm how much is in there -

Top End Boost Drop On Gt2530 Equipped Rb20
Roy replied to femno's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Grab a 2530 and look in the exhaust housing. The volute of the housing is tiny, Now put your hand over the exhaust at 6,000rpm and feel the air coming out. When you get so much back pressure in the exhaust housing perhaps its limiting the engines ability to hold boost at high rpm/cfm ?!?!?!??! I dont know what that all means but a consideration -
...it all looks like too much hard work. Std cars for the win as track cars. Just throw good susp at the thing and go circulate

Ok , so these are the final set of try and fit wheels from my car which i dont look to need. They are white, very good condition, Fronts are 17 x 8.5 +30 , perfect for an R32 GTSt and fine for all other things Nissan Rears are 17 x 9 +28, again a good fit I am binning these as i was able to get 9" +28 working on the front and 9.5 +35s on the rear so finally all sorted for wheels that fit good rubber and clear brakes. Can get pics but they are what they are, sadly they are in gay GSTt offset so dont look near as good as GTR offsets but they are way light, good offsets for GTSt and clear big brakes. No tyres, asking $2100 + delivery

You probably need the more aggressive ramp rates of the solid lifter cams to get the mid range and response that goes with the multi setup on the RB26s

Guys, i am making pharmaceuticals...not selling them

Its time for me to embrace the expoitation of the 3rd world, earn some money and try abd build something half as cool Absolute credit to all involved! It pains me to say, can understand how the R33 will become the Oliver of the garage and orphaned

We need a 49 Matt, the rwd guys were all too quiet in 2008 and the GTR guys are again growing complacent. We need to get back on their heels I cant wait to get back out there

Equivelent Suspension To Sydneykid
Roy replied to Rekin's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Centreline or Tru Track...or Racepace or Nizpro etc etc. All the good places who get it right the first time make your wallet bleed. Centreline are not cheap, but they are happy to work with you and your budget. I was recently charged $1500 for shock install, wheel alignmnt inc install of a few simple susp components. When you charge around $100 an hour plus parts you see how the cost goes through the roof, this was not by Centreline. But i suspect Centreline would have been similar money -
You Carnt .......... tease me with such promises

Heikki stands no chance of winning a GP in 2009. If Lewis is in wiht a chance you watch the fuelling and pit strategy for Heikki mean they guy is only ever collecting points for the WCC. I think over at Ferrari the first driver to get a two GP advatnage over the team mate will bag the support of the team for the remainder of the season. You have effectiley halved the number of contenders for the WDC with the new points system
