  2. I just realised we are up to page 7 and no John talking about how the Zed is new and improved and is about to debut one of these front diff things

    Superlap Oran Park.

Well, since it is a night/afternoon race i think i may enter and then get vack to my brothers so i can get drunk to welcome the coming of the 2009 F1 season but also celebrare my cars "Performance of extraordinary magnitude" at Superlap I want to do the gP so bad, but OP is going the way of Amaroo so need to get out there and capture a good solid binning into concrete on tape
  4. Could not have said it any better myself. The R35 shape has grown on me but its not pretty. It is functional. If paying that sort of money i want something more then functional....even if it is crazy fun. For me a car that you can get in and drive at 9/10s almsot from day one will get boring or reaching for your wallet very quickly. Right now i can get the idea of a Lotus Elise/Exige (NA) with a turbo kit out of my head. That shows the sort of cars i like as versatile street /track cars. 900kg 1.8L fuel economy and tyre conservation all whilst having a ball at the track driving the thing and being respectfully quick
  5. Does it come with the v-band clamp for welding onto manifold?
  6. Just buy R34 GTT brakes or go the whoel hog and get soem R34 GTR Brembos. They are the same bolt size and because of the issues Baron describes above are really only good for R34 owners. So R34 Brembo brakes often work out cheaper then R33 Brembos because you don thave to fiht every R32, R33, Silvia and 300ZX owner for them. Demand = Dollars
  7. Plainly. If they had a clue they would have won a GP by now
  8. Bugger, i only need the rears. Itnerested in splitting the rears?
  9. I hate the off season, nothing to do but re-watch 2008 GPs, there were some good ones. Really hope that this year there is a shake up and the likes of Williams can get back up there, i hope they at least beat Toyota so that if the squeeze gets tighter they might pull the pin on their operation and throw their support behind Williams. Also, i have to laugh. Tata the dodgy Indian manufacturer now owns Jaguar and Range Rover. They are throwing their money into the rign with Ferrari probably trying to buy the sporting flair that their cars seriously lack. So if they have enough money to throw at Ferrari for sponsorship why are they crying poor to the English Govt asking for hand outs to keep Jaguar afloat. Man big business sucks, the worse things get financially the ricer the big companie get
  10. Really? I have just found out that the SR20 gearset fits inside the HCR32 GTSt gearox casing so interested. But not if this is the sort of dollars for upkeep. What if you dont go for a full dog box? Is maintenance still an issue?
  11. Nobody? Hmmm. lol i have too many wheels, Weds, Work, these Gram Lights, RE30s Who said big brakes are an easy upgrade when you have to go through all these wheels finding a set that look good and clear the brakes
  12. Thoughts of PVC pipe, barbed wire and uncomfortable places ... somewhere remote so the bastard is left to fend for himself and is confronted with a long crawl to a place where he will find help. Where hopefully the Dr on duty was a burnt entrant
  13. LOL, ahhh Tim . You have now been slanted for life.
  14. ECU doesnt tell you corner speeds, braking Gs, lap times. People often see an in car vid of me driving and suggest i use the wrong gears. Most common is that i stay in 3rd for slow 90deg corners, 4th for turn 1 at Sandown etc. I know its quicker as i can see from my corner speeds and lap times that its quicker, even though it doesnt feel quicker as the engine isnt buzzings its head off. You can tell where you are out braking yourself and affecting your exit speeds for corners etc. They are handy at helping you improve your driving which ECU logging doesnt tell you
  15. It is more compact and thats the reason why i think if the features do what you need then its the best. It all good and well to say you want bigger, but i question whether they are any easier to read and they sure as hell are harder to mount. Too big and you cant see the whoel dash through thesteering wheel. MXL looks better and is bigger, but i still believe the MyChron is the better unit for my needs...so most liklely better for most. It is well laid out and a simple straight forward unit that is easy to read
  16. 2871 or 3071R if you only want 230odd rwkws. Personally i would go for the 3071 as it will go close to being a bolt on solution, but no matter how small the turbo is you will make meaningful boost at 3000rpm on an RB20
  17. That Racepak unit is identical to the Autronic dash
  18. Yokies Bridgestones They look like semis?
  19. Dont get too carried away with size. Review some manuals and transpose their size onto some cardboard then have a play and see where you plan to fit it. The dash fnction is handy but truth is it is mostly wank. You need the warning lights for the channels, you need the lap timer and the shift lights are handy. You dont get a chance to read or even look at the other guff while you are on track...provided the warning lights dont flash then you just keep your foot into it. The important thing is the data you log which you then look at when you are back in the pts/home I run the AiM MyChron Gold 3 because it offered more features then the MXL at the time and it is easier to package. The Pi unit i am looking is the X-Sport which bolts to the steering wheel hub and mounts on the steering wheel. Powerful unit and easy to install and package into a raod car
  20. I know a guy that sells tested 2nd hand Pi units that if you PM me your email i can forward his details. I am thinking about selling my AiM unit and getting the PI
  21. What power did it make, and who rebuilt the turbo? Curious to know what was done to hiflow it, bigger turbine, compressor ?
  22. I last bought semi slicks in Sep 2007 and since then both Bridgestone and Yokohmama have released to new tyres. Has anybody tried either yet or know of any testing results?
  23. Holy Shit! What a steal! If it was white i would buy it even though i dont need it Best of luck with the sale, surely it will go quick at the price
  24. Bring back all the retied bastards and put their bums in their old team cars. Seto, Richo, Skaifo, err i mean Skaify, Longhurst. Hell give the keys to whatever Nissan or BMW is left over to Cromly, thats how he got most of his drives anyway
  25. Ah, ok. Michelin slicks explains why i was amazed by how much traction it had in rwd
