  8. Generally better flow and boost control. The better flow may result in more response or simply better top end with less back pressure...generally its also easier to get them to hold boost. They are my rules of thumb...people could go on for pages sighting instances where the above is not true but they are the fundamentals for doing it. But remains all very setup-parts dependent. A good setup using an internal gate can get great results if parts are all matched
  9. It was dark, cold and you posted that pic. Its some scaffolding in the back of a car! LOL I rode into work today so good chance of being home before dark and will post up some better deail pics
  10. Price drop to $1500 ono
  11. Price drop to $120
  12. I demand $50 from anyone that posts pics of my car Brad must have taken that pic as it doesnt look like one of mine. It is SCHMICK! I am not saying that because its my car. I am not saying that because Risking is on the forum. I had the BD cage and was happy with it generally for the 2 or so years I had it. It isnt a question of better or worse etc. I got what I asked for from BD. If I had of articulated my requirements better I would have paid more and probably got what I was after but was mostly scared of rendering the back seat completely useless for storage of tyres and bags on a trip to the track When I knew what I really wanted Brad was able to give it to me. I can still fit two 17" rims in the back seat. two in the passenger seat and fuel in the boot. When a recliner seat is in it goes a fair way back for some zzzzz when I am doing the Melb-Syd drive at night. Its all I could ask for since my thing is only a club car and needs to be driven on a daily basis
  13. There would be bugger all in it...but the other thing is putting the solenoid near the t piece in the engine bay you are effectively making the 10AN lines part of the reservoir giving it a bit more volume rather than have that line of oil have to be pressurised and then charge the engine....calling bees d1cks but thats they way I am doing it and why ?!?!
  14. 2535 ultimate? They give away 25-30rwkws to a TD06-20G and from what I have seen of various results dont offer as good response. It hurts the 2535 that it bolts to the std manifold and has an internal gate vs the TD06 setup with manifold and external gate. 20G for a sure 260-270rwkws on 98 with 19 or so psi and 19psi by about 4,300rpm in 4th gear
  15. Its where you run the hose that would dictate the hose you use. I am gaoing to run my 10AN lines where the hydraulic HICAS lines used to go so using 3/4" alloy tube tpo mechanically protect the line. Alloy tube isnt the strongest stuff out there either but thats what I am going to use when it finally gets installed. I still need to get a pressure transducer to put into the sump where the gauge goes so I can log it into my data logger. The other nightmare is fitting the big mumma check valve somewhere neatly near the remote filter. I want to also run the solenoid in the engine bay rather than in the boot where mine is going to be mounted between the strut brace/battery box and the back seat. Easier to wire and should help response a tad (in theory)
  16. Brown Davis said He had no pics for me. I cant see the Brown Davis S13 cage being overly different to my old R32 cage. It was what I wanted at the time. A basic cage with harness bar. I removed it and sold it to a friend when I went to a Risking cage. The Risking cage had a few extra bars in it. Was tig'd rather than mig'd and was fabricated a little tighter to the chassis and the obvious design difference as Brad has already pointed out re how he secures the main hoop to a different part of the car. I am leaving work now so will get some pics of the Risking cage tonight
  17. But when you see Alonso and Masse exit the pits for their 3rd stint and blast in 2 1:37s then back it off to 1:29s and later 1:30-1:31s its rather pathetic. Tyres that degrade are not a problem. Tyres that are hand grenades and cant be driven on for a few laps. They were running around 8 seconds off quali pace at the end of the race. The tyres were simply shot after 5-6 laps and had to be carried for stings of 15 laps. Up until this race I can see the argument for and against the tyres. This race was so ridiculously bad that it will want to be a one off otherwise the rest of the year will be a joke. To see an F1 car wallowing under brakes and not be able to commit to corners! Hell, Le mans cars can run on the limit for 24hrs and an F1 car now struggles to do 2 laps. It is rather rubbish
  18. I enjoyed the race. As much as it was annoying with those stupid tyres. It was interesting to see how it all played out. LOL reminded me of Webber and his Jaguar days watchign Dan...getting so excited watching him race for P8 thru P10
  19. Cant believe Bianchi is staying with Vettel
  20. COME ON DAN!!!!
  21. How slow are they going...sliding around a hell of a llot as well
  22. I love my cage from Risking. I can still get wheels in the back, bags etc. Nice and tight to the shell, plenty of seat clearance...so thats me saying you get way more than "something half decent". You get a well built and designed cage. I will get some pics up tomorrow after I take some pics
  23. Same problem. Make ok power at 16psi. 25psi makes less power than 16psi
  24. Schuey would have parked it at the exit to pit lane 120seconds into Q1 so nobody could go quicker
