  1. You have to be kidding! The way a sportsman behaves in victory (fail with that arrogant finger), in defeat (badly..sooking like a brat when beaten...but to his credit he takes being cheated by mech failures etc like a bloody champion) and how they respect their peers is a huge factor in whether I like a sportsman. He fails on so many counts...despite the fact that I want to believe the Top gear Vettel is the real Vettel...he is no doubt a nice enough guy and personable to be around but if I worked with the likes of him...i would not be able to do my job as he is demanding of all the focus and attention and spoils...DOG!
  2. Any more results from the various billet wheels in the Mistu TD06 cartridges? Good work on the mph too!
  3. Was in an R34 GTR with one the other day. No way I am buying one of those exhausts. They are loud and sound likle poo compared to the Trust Ti. No idea how they flow...but IF its a dead exhaust that was somethign I had planned on changing the next 12 months so no big shakes...just have to move it forward
  4. Good luck to competitors. Woudl be good fun to be servicing and driving around in lala land for a week but perhaps next year. Is the DR30 a goer ?
  5. So the cams gave a sniff that there was more to come. The new turbo has given a sniff that the setup is moving in the right direction. Seems my R32 is more 58 Plymouth Fury and she doesn't like the extra cubes in her and is playing silly buggers somewhere in the setup. Think dirving around with a head gasket issue with condensation in the exhaust on biref trips etc may have collapse the muffler in the 11 yr old HKS exhaust. I hope its something as simple as that because there seems to be an odd restriction somewhere that means we make ok power but not what we shoudl be Meanwhile, I need this spend to stop so I can count my cash and go buy my Sierra an 80s dance partner at the end of the month
  6. He needs to go bacl to being happy to throw the car into others or at walls. His lack of speed is a bit of a worry 3 races in when his team mate has had to strong podiums
  7. Today or tomoz. The boost control looked ok on the 8cm. Boost was falling over but didnt lose too much sleep as just wanted to get some baseline runs and get a feel for the characteristics. But it wasnt that far away and if we spent more time on the boost feel we could have got it closer than we have been able to with the 12cm. With the 12cm a bit more energy was put into trying to get it to hold boost. Didn't exhaust ourselves as I dont want to spend too much $ fiddling around when the setups are going to get swapped. Main thing is we get to see the character and idea of response and numbers. But curious that it wasn't anywhere as simple as getting the other combos to hold boost. I dont know about power limitations. 306rwkws out of an RB20 is a decent enough haul. But having had the car for 14 years with what has essentially been a number of 20G combinations over the years...everything generally experimented with has been at best a move sideways not forward. Goes to show how capable (basically the best setup) a std RB20 with std inlet plenum and std cams just with a genuine Greddy manifold-20G kit performs! The only change I have made to my original setup that was an improvement was the change from 10cm housing to 8cm back in 2004. Other than that I didnt know I had the optimum setup at the time and have tried various things that were .... umm cash consuming Curiousity is a cruel mistress
  8. I will post this to show why i think the 8cm would still be a great thing on an RB25 if you were running E85. Without stressing too much about boost you can see the boost control seemed ok with the 8cm and with some tweaking would have been able to get it right. These are not close to full tunes, but enough to get an idea of which way the setup was going
  9. Yeh, they dont spell out anything different to what has been tried and doing. Like I said have had numerous different manifold and gate and EBC and manual boost controllers on my car the 9-10 years I ran the 20G. I bought more springs and have tried combinations of 7psi inner, 3psi inner, 11psi middle and 7psi outer with the associated manual boost controllers/bleeds etc. Anyway, got a good feel for when it hits and how it ramps and we know the compressor will max out around 310rwks on this dyno. So time to compare the power and ramp with the 73HTA
  10. How should I plumb it other than how i plumbed the Greddy manifold and gate with the 20G with AVC-R and off the spring. The 6boost on the 20 with Turbosmart gate and Blitz ID and off the spring? Always plumbed my gates the way I have and never had a problem. Even with my lil RB20 I ony had an 8psi in my original Greddy gate and was able to run a pretty solid 20psi dropping to only 19psi at the top end. I only know the one way and it has worked in the past. Like I said, I am all ears, how would you suggest?
  11. Frankly I am glad Webber did what he did. It was a racing incident but as the commentators and Webber dsaid. Vergne seemed to stay wide and then apexed later. Showing a quicker car the inside was a bit silly but was his corner and able to turn in. I think Webber having to pit in a few laps wanted to keep the hammer down and had a punt. Good to see a bit of aggression back in Marks driving...shame it didnt pay off. Not sure I agree with the 3 spot penalty. It wasnt that much of a botched attempt in light of the line Vergne took. But a weekedn to forget for Webber and will be interesting hwo he bounces back when they first arrive back in Europe. He always goes well and would be a change of fortune if he actually had a good result in Bahrain. I am not holding my breath Massive congrats to Disco Dan 7TH! All in all I enjoyed the race. Hamo, Kimi all punching away. Massa seemed to get really dicked with having to stay out that lap longer and know idea what has happened to the pace Romain had last year Gutted for the guy
  12. Std issue is if it's an R32 then you need to put an RB25 in it. If its an R33 then you need an RB30. If its a GTR you need 05s. That about sums up Forced Induction For tyres do a serach in Suspensionthread
  13. Really want the radiator gone. Nobody wants a new replacement with the convenience of std fitment?
  14. Dan had a cracker...Webs a shocker
  15. No matter what we do with the gate, boost falls over from 19psi to 14psi as soon as the gate opens. If anyone has any ideas then I am all ears. As is it is only making 280rwkws with 14psi from about 4,500rpm to red line. Ramps up to 19psi nicely at about 350rpm earlier than the RB20 (even with the much larger rear housing) but then just boost immediately trails off So the 20G would be a rather good setup and may come back and keep it if I can get my head around how to stop the boost drop off. If I could get it to hold 18psi I am pretty confident the compressor would be maxed out and it would have 300-310rwkws and a good spread of power and torque with the ability to ram ignition down its throat in the top end to keep the torque flat. But suspect I am maxing out the flow of the turbo so the 45mm gate may be too big for the setup and probably need a 38mm gate or something...thats a change I am not willing to make so. The 73HTA is on and ready to be rolled onto the dyno once I get a M11x1.5 to 3AN connector for oil feed. Hopefully the boost issue isnt repeated as I hope there isn't something wrong with the gate.

  18. But why spend the money on helmet, HANS and harness for club stuff. I wont bother....but I have a $5 head The speeds and nture of club cars and sprint events ... i think you are far better investing in a cage or other things
  19. Hmmmm...wanting these still. If buyer comes through with money for turbo and tyres....unless you want to swap.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/423379-2953018s-ao50-soft-compound/
  20. I want to put aJudd V10 in it. But at 100k never going to happen. I have often wondered why people put Chevs in them when for US 5-8k you can get a Viper V10 I have thought a lot about it but this is my street-club car and struggle with minor mods let alone something like that No to L series....yes to triples!
  21. Why go for an RB30 when you can have E36 M3 Series II displacement ?
  22. I didnt find that. All it did was allow me to run more ignition and boost and make more power. Didnt do anythign meaningful for response. ...seat of pans was that it was perhaps laggier but that may have been the result of too high an expectation for results
  23. A bit disappointed to be selling these but reality is they will sit around for another 6 months before I get around to trying to source a rim suitably big and able to fit into my cars guards (lowly GTSt ) They have done 2 sessions at last years Superlap and estimated to have done about 6-8 laps. Currently in my mates garage in Sydney. Asking $1800 + delivery. New quoted ~ $600 a tyre
