They are all the same, the later year of car you get meaning its a newer engine (Overall car). But there were different levels of R32 GTR's. 22nd May 1989 was the release of the R32 GTR (Standard Model) 22nd February 1990 the NISMO Edition was released based on the Standard Model with a Nismo body kit to improve the look, cooling, aerodynamic and down force of the car. 19th July 1991 the R32 GTR N1 was released. N1 = Race Spec engine, which means it was stronger then the standard R32 GTR engine and was more refined + the upgrade of Brembo Brakes. 3rd February 1993 the R32 GTR V-Spec (Victory Specification) was released. Based on the standard model but came with Brembo brakes and a retuned ATTESA E-TS system (Same like the Nismo and N1 R32 GTR's). Came with 17" BBS wheels with 225/45/17 tyres. 14th February 1994the R32 GTR V-Spec II was relased. Based on the V-Spec but came with wider tyres of a size of 245/45/17. Whilst building the upper level models, I assume the Base Model was still in production.

Nice! Rich Asian kids. LOL! -
Aftermarket BOV + a HKS Air Pod = Massive "Flutter" and "Choo" noise. I have the stock GTR BOV and twin HKS Air Pods and they make the "Choo" noise
-
No you will not need aftermarket extractors unless you have a modified (bigger) turbo. I have not done it myself but I don't think its hard to adjust your suspension, just takes time and you will probably need a wheel alignment after lowering the car. Just get your mechanic to do it and it should not cost too much, whatever labor cost your mechanic charges Haha!! Thanks buddy!

Exhaust System For Twin Turbo Gtr?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to Revenge's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
For street use, I just go a nice full 3" Nismo, or Kakimoto + a high flow cat. Nice and quiet and would give you a nice flow. -
R33 GTR rear pods look awesome.
-
If its silver (bare metal) you can use metal polish. Or spray Degreaser on it and then hose it off.
-
Yeah for sure... Thanks. I just wanted to point out the fact that not having a BOV is bad for a turbo car and he could have stuck with his stock one OR I should have said upgrade to a GTR one.

Timing Belt is a MUST at 100,000kms. Might as well do your fan belts. The usual things, Oil (Which you have done) Oil Filter (Which you have done) Fuel Filter Air Filter / Air Pod (Just a clean will do) Spark plugs (Which you have done) Radiator Coolant flush You could do your Gear Box and Diff Oils... Check Brakes (Pads / Rotors / Calipers) Your Tyres would need a check (tread level and air pressure level) Tighten up bolts and over general check over of the car in and out. The main things anyway, but if still unsure, take it to your mechanic and see what they say as they should know what is fully required at 100,000 kms.

My R33 Gtr Series 3
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to Chris_GTR26's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
LOL! That's not my car in my avatar... Hehe!! It's just a pic I found on the internet and I photoshopped in an aftermarket FMIC, cause that pic just had the stock one still in black colour. It's also the same car in my sig, found it on the UK GTR forum. Yes my actual car I have still retains the standard FMIC and the previous owner in Japan took the paint off just on the front. I don't have the spoiler and I have white Volk TE 37's, but still Gun Metal Grey in body colour. Looks good tho. -
Rb25det In 180sx I Wanna Do It!
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to drift spR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah it can be done. I have seen a S13 with a RB25DET in it. Most probably have the similar mountings and connections. Just time, effort and money is needed. -

I Don't Love My Skyline
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to RBwhatever's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah right... LOL! The Maxima and/or Magna would have been great for a daily. Sell it and get a GTR in my opinion... Totally different car. See how you go. -
My friend runs his own Multimedia / Print company. Give me the dimensions and I could probably get you free quote... As it's free anyway... The quote that is LOL!

It is designed to prevent compressor surge = When the air goes back into the turbo and forces the turbine blades to spin the other way, which gives you that "Dose" noise. That's not good for your turbo. A stock GTR BOV can handle up to 300+ kW's running 1.2 Bar boost (17.4 Psi) easy...

What Turbo Is This? I Have Pics
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to reNEGaDe88's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
As others have said, the VLT's had Nissan motors in them... Nissan had their turbos made by the company Garrett, so the turbo would called a Garrett T28 Turbo Charger in which (From memory) the S13/S14/S15 Silvia's, R32 GTS-T's and R32 GTR's used the same type of turbos. -
My Bolt On Engine Upgrade Thread: R34 Gtr
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to Bakes's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Impressive dyno graph there Bakes! AWD kW's! Damn you tuff car. -
i've recently got my catback exhaust put it... anyway my mates saying i should get "front and dump pipes" anyone know whats the difference between this and 'extractors'? thanks.. Extractors (Exhaust Manifold) is what your turbo is bolted on to, Front and dump pipes is the pipes which connect to the exhaust manifold / turbo. It is the front part of the exhaust system then your cat converter then your cat back exhaust. also, whats the difference between tuning and remapping? Tuning / Remapping, it can be part of the same process... Eg if you want to run more boost, ppl usually "remap" the ECU to improve Air / Fuel ratios and make sure they are correct when running higher boost, that's whats called tuning. also, my mates saying i have adjustable coilovers. what are they? and what do th ey do? It's your suspension setup. This allows you to adjust the height of your car. It give your the advantage to lower your car to improve it's handling. also, when im steering ALL The way to the right It makes a noise like my cars scraping onto something.. (normally int he cold.. doesnt hapepn allt he time) Could be just your tyres rubbing up against the inner wheel guard when you do a full lock right turn. You got bigger wheels and tyres on the front? Also, if a front mount intercooler makes the fluttering, isnt that what a blow off valve does? is it a good idae to get a fmic and a blow off valve together? what do they do exactly? A front mount intercooler (FMIC) does not make the "Fluttering" noise, only an aftermarket blow off valve (BOV) makes the flutter / dose noise. FMIC will only gain your performance if you are running a high amount of boost to improve your cooling. You already have a stock BOV and no need to change it. Aftermarket BOV are useless, just makes noise and that's it. When turning on my engine, i have to hold my key for about 2-3 seconds before the engine turns on, my friends saying i need new spark plugs? is this true? why? and how much will it cost? ... Never heard of this before. Only reason I would turn the key and wait 2-3 seconds before starting it up is to allow the fuel pump to get the fuel pumping... Btw. what does 200rwkw Run quarter mile? You might have to ask a few R33 GTS-T owners on here. sorry people but im learning, hope you all can be of help. thanks thanks! Cool!

I Don't Love My Skyline
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to RBwhatever's topic in General Automotive Discussion
So why did you buy the car in the first place? You just need a few more kW's to regain the love. Or if you don't love it anymore, turn it into a drift pig and give it a good thrashing... If not sell the car and get a GTR. -
My Final Decision For My Car
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to MissR34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So you just want to be praised by the whole SAU..? It will be interesting to see as it is the first time I have heard of this engine set up. Make sure to post pics and the dyno graph results. Cool! -
Becks the Blonde one... Note by, she is not in the photo. LOL!

Check the Horn Fuse in the fuse box... I am not too sure where it all connects up unless you want to take it to your mechanic / auto electrician..?
