Stock R33 Gts-t Vs Stock Evo 6
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to blitz r33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Ah man thats not good. Hope you find another one as you would have love the car, as I drove one last Sunday. Hehe!! My friend has one for Sale, which is the one I test drove but he's in Melbourne, Vic if you want to come down that far LOL! Yes EVO 6.5 TME. They came standard with a larger turbo and the one I drove, had RALLIART Piping kit, BLITZ Panel Filter and a few electrical upgrades, the rest stock. Very responsive down low to mid range. Needs a nice exhaust to free up the flow and you will gain a bit more top end. + They came standard with water injectors to spray the front mount intercooler to give a bit of heat soak. -
Yeah awesome Sam! That exhaust muffler looks cool. So about 20mins for the battery yeah... I thought so as I timed it on Monday. I was hoping I was charging the battery for the right amount of time. Z-Tune looks nice, what wheels you got? And I see you have put in disk brakes and calipers in which look nice. Are the Tamiya and HPI chassis different in measurements? Do you take you RC Car down to a nice smooth indoor/outdoor track? Cause atm I'm just using it down my street on the ashphelt. It's OK, but I pick small stones and you can say its a rougher surface then a track.

Stock Gtr Cat V High Flow Ceramic
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to NISMO's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
LOL! Sure is johnny. BTW haven't seen you around SAU for a while... -
Yeah f**k'em, although I did not goto Easternats I see where you are coming from. Guess it's the same when you see a Commie at a Drift Event but I'm not sure if the guys at the PA give them shit..? Anyone see a white Nissan 180SX with a HKS POWERS sticker across the windscreen? "Boof" is his name, met him a few times and that's his 180SX with a high mount turbo + all the goodies under the hood.
-
It's normal for the engine to rev a bit higher on a cold morning start.

Best Dry Panel Filter Brand ?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Oil'd filters are just to catch the micro bits of dirt and dust. When you oil up your filter(s) you only suppose to spray on a very LIGHT coat and when I say a LIGHT coat, I mean just one single spray on the outer side of the filter/sponge, not soak the filter... In regards to the aftermarket panel filter that sits inside your air box, you do not need to oil them up or I never did with mine. Again just a light spray if wanted. -
Stock Gtr Cat V High Flow Ceramic
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to NISMO's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'd go a straight pipe with a cat converter casing around it just for looks... Hehe!! It does not hurt to go the high flow cat as I find the stock GTR cat a bit restrictive. -
I Went To See Fast And Furious Last Night
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to lingeringsoul's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yep +1 "2 Fast 2 Furious" Brian O'conner 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Engine: RB26DETT Type: In-line six, iron block, aluminum head, twin turbocharged and intercooled Internal Modifications: None External Modifications: K&N Ram Air system, HKS Titanium Exhaust, Turbonetic Intercooler Engine Management Mods: None Drivetrain Layout: Front engine, all-wheel drive Drivetrain Modifications: Front driveshaft removed, Super HICAS disabled Suspension Front: JIC Magic shocks, Goldline springs Rear: JIC Magic shocks, Goldline springs Brakes Front: Stop Tech brakes Rear: Stop Tech brakes Exterior Wheels: HRE 446 Tires: Toyo 275/30ZR-19 (F/R) Performance Acceleration Quarter Mile Time: 14.1 sec. Quarter Mile Speed: 101.0 mph 0-30 mph: 2.6 sec. 0-60 mph: 6.0 sec. 30-50 mph: 2.1 sec. 50-70 mph: 2.9 sec. Handling Lateral Grip (200-ft skidpad):0.91 g Braking 60-0 stopping distance: 127 ft. Interior: Sparco harnesses, MOMO steering wheel, Clarion head unit with LCD TV screen, JBL amp, Infinity speakers - http://www.modified.com/features/0307scc_1..._r34/index.html Plus all the In Car Electronics (ICE) crap on the inside and neon crap on the outside with an ugly GT Wing and terrible looking decals. Quote - "In that "2F2F" alternate universe, that means this car rockets to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, consumes the quarter-mile in 12.1 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. Back on the actual planet Earth, the performance is still strong, but not quite as strong as fresher, intact R34s we've driven." Quote - With Josh Jacquot doing his suave Paul Walker imitation, the Skyline, which is bone stock under the hood, groped its way through the quarter in 14.1 seconds at 101 mph--the third quickest car of the six included in this movie car test. With 22,254 km (13,797 miles) on its odometer, this car wasn't old, but it definitely had been beaten up pretty determinedly. Power output seemed down from other R34s, but a direct comparison is tough since the other R34s had the advantage of all-wheel-drive launches and didn't need a feathery throttle down the track. This car literally smoked its rear tires on every 1-2 upshift, which was cool to watch but certainly added time to each run. Its performance is also sabotaged by its big diameter wheels and the added heft of all the add-ons. The last stock R34 we drove hit 60 mph in just 5.07 seconds and crushed the quarter mile in 13.3 seconds at 103.7 mph. Quote - "The lack of AWD and 4WS knocked the movie Skyline's performance to 0.91g on the skidpad, although we expected worse. The missing front differentials made the car much easier to drift, which is of course, the point, and we have to admit the car looked great doing it." Basically the car was thrashed during the filming of the movie. Also the review did not add up to the specs and they explain why... LOL! Yeah but there are a lot better R34 GTR out there tho... I think Mitsubishi rather "GIVE" the car to the ppl encharge of casting the cars in the film to get their name out and do a bit of promoting... If not they probably Pay big money for the car to be in the film... -
I Went To See Fast And Furious Last Night
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to lingeringsoul's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ha! Yeah like 2F2F where if you watch the Prologue on the DVD where Brian buys a crummy looking R34 GTR sitting in the corner with a darkish green paint job, no spoiler and cob webs all over it. Pays for a paint job and a GT spoiler and wins the 1st race and then buys an exhaust upgrade or whatever... -
So you want to wrap your car up in foil to preserve it's paint? I guess it's got its pros and cons but other than that just get a respray the same colour. Just get the paint code of your car and you should be fine.

LOL! Thats awesome Sam. That Pod air intake should cool down the Motor very well. How did you make the pod? How long does your Battery last? Mines about 20 mins and giving it full throttle most of the time and they say you should give the motor a rest after every 10 mins of drifting... Ok I got some pics for ya all. A few "biffs" and "bumps" here and there as I took it out today and got too close to the curb a few times, looks tuff but haha!! Tamiya PS Gloss Black paint sprayed on the inside with Tamiya PS Flat Clear coat on the outer shell. Still need to car the rear bar skirt and make up a metal muffler exhaust system. Hehe!!

Read what madbung said... Or installing a boost controller to up the boost will have him in front already. So as what madbung has explained, (IMO) at the end of the day it's a totally different car all together. It will cost you a lot to win over the R32 Turbo. As for now, I probably just do the usual bolt on mods like upgrade your air panel filter to a high flow panel filter. Please DO NOT go for the 4" exhaust! 2.25" full exhaust with a high flow cat will do you fine and get it professionally installed by your mechanic. Lowering the car will always help with handling and yes, light weighting the will help. Other than that, just save your money and in future, sell the car you have now and get a R34 GTT / R34 GTR... Or whatever you want with a turbo in it.

LOL! Sam (GTR-Boy) he's funny! Ok A duck meet is where we VIC SAU'ers meet up at Monash Uni in Clayton for a bit of a meet and greet, stay there and talk to ppl for about an hour or so to catch up with members we had not seen for a while. When everyone is here we cruise off to the Chinese restaurant called Rock Kung were most SAU'ers have half a roast duck with rice and it's always fun. you don't have to order duck and rice but that's what this meets known for. If you got your R32, you should come on down and meet a few members. I remember my first SAU meet, I went to the West Side meet, I came late and everyone was standing around looking at me, but I just walked up and spoke to the West Side meet organise, who now I know as bLaC bOi Hachan? I think his name is and I meet a few more ppl as well.

Fairlady? ... I have only hear of an old school (Datsun) Z car as Fairlady's... Can you explain more? Diff ratio... Might give you a bit better pick up of the starting line... An upgrade to a light weighted Flywheel will help with acceleration as well. Tuning up your cams and the high flow air intake will help a lot as that's the heart of where your power is coming from. ECU upgrade will help with your Air/Fuel mixture. 4" exhaust?! 2.25" will do you fine, BUT you can have what ever size exhaust as long as you tune your car properly with that exhaust on it. LMFAO! Yes true, this is a age difference for sure.

Pics Of My New Car
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to SIR-Black32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I like the Red Lip around the wheel / rim. Have fun cleaning White wheels tho... Haha!! Nice and neat, can't complain. What earth wiring system your running from your battery? -
Yeah more modern and newer for sure, as the engine in the R34 would be revised and refined. Performance wise... In this case the R32 FTW! BTW we are talking GTS-T / GTS4 vs GT... Not GTR. LOL!
-
^^Got any pics of your R34 GTR Z-Tune Sam?
-
Yeah just saw this before on the Home Page. Saw it coming and it was well worth it for what it is and the price. Congrats! On the R35 GTR. Pics when landed! Thanks!

Looking For Skylines With Black And White 2 Tone
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to UNR33L's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Yeah for sure man! LOL! Yeah if ppl are not familiar with the whole "Panda" Spec, they ask why is your car all different colours. This looks nice and neat. -
Nice buddy! R32 Wins hands down. + if you got the GTS4 you could give it a bit of a launch and gain the head start.

Do I Really Need To Upgrade My Cooler?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to 3LGODZILA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I not too sure about the R34 GTT, as I have a R32 but a R34 GTT SMIC is good for just over 200kW's. "A slight Loss in response"... Are you running any higher boost atm? Get a tune done? Also if you want to go the FMIC make sure you up the boost and get a tune. FMIC are hell of a lot better for cooling.
