  1. A ten grand car , take your drifting and second gear burnouts off the street first off But look around you can buy 32,33,34 toyota, soarer And a zilion other cars that meet that need Drifting worldwide is destroying a lot of decent cars one day you'll wake up and there wont be any unmolested left!! its happened to other high volume models before end rant
  2. There is a way to get a key without jumping thu to many hoops , sadly the manufacture and gov rules provide the details needed A slack locksmith would cut one ! i wont divulge how its done because to stop the data on your end would cost a bucketload and not practical And crims dont need any help There has been a lot of cars nicked with keys and alarm remotes coded lately but the people were arrested over the weekend down south
  3. I know doug and the other guys in the video , they will have generic ipad mini pans for sale and would send one down if anyone wants one? ipad mini isnt on my radar since ipad fits in gtt and has a bigger screen , its not a big deal to mold one , just takes time and a mini to use?? it would fit older skylines ?? for those wondering the ipad fits in the factory radio hole behind the factory dash contour and butts up to the ac controls fine Some shifter surround mods and remolding but in my case I cut out the ashtray and lighter and ripped apart and recast 3 gauges flush fit in the spot instead In carbon lol No need for smoking items
  4. Do you drive down the esplanade in aldinga pretty sure I spotted you a bunch
  5. Pm sent for photos
  6. Classic fuel vapour lock symtoms but you said you remove the cap and thats normally the fix?? It should start after that (E fuels does that a lot in the heat) Does it go woosh when you open the cap ? it shouldnt pressurize the tank that much ? return flow line blocked ? Causing overpressure flooding of fuel into injectors , only happens when fuel is hot in lines? fuel regulator not working right ? test cold , remove fuel cap and start it ? Works ? No then you have another issue like regulator or electrical gremlins immobolizer wouldnt let you start it ever ? if that was the cause Blocked or collapsed fuel filter , had a autobarn drift one seep fuel around the flange just lately Could alway smell fuel but never leak ? Bad fuel pickup that looses prime suction ? Long shot Crushed fuel line under car causes air pocket randomly after driving ? Too much fuel additive , excessive injector cleaner will do that , bugger to fire warm If it starts after sitting I would say fuel related If it starts random could be anything elctrical or fuel or both Electrical only dont normally fix after time unelss the commection arcs enough to " temp fix"
  7. The ipad 2 fits just fine in stock radio location with customization ( perm mount) you could make it slide out near drivers legs without drama , not graceful but doable, I have a spare dash and have tested it already The mini would pop right in with minimal fuss Dont have a mini or i would build one The mini would fit in popup dash as well
  8. Didn't cost me a thing just hassle , you must insure it for transit if your smart Worked out the white one was much better anyway Redbook is pointless unless your car is traded into dealer or wrecked , some car loan companies base that on loan value , but skylines will pull what ever the market bears and condition That is wholesale prices in most cases
  9. If you ripping it down that much you may as well rebuild it , new rings, etc if required or just do a 26/30 ? 30psi and e85 isnt a cheap build so dont cut corners and blow the motor after a few runs Wise man pays once
  10. The container tipped on its side on the ship, smashing the side front to rear , I never accepted it and had a white one on order after hearing the news , the white one had more options but cost about 6k more lol just a pain in paperwork and time from japan The wiff left after ordering it so she kept the r31 I sold my RZ tt supra and kept the skyline
  11. Doug in cali has one today http://revision3.com/amplified/ipadmini-installed-dash-car
  12. The molded tweeter post above explains the location ?
  13. I already have generic fibreglass mounts available , carbon is a well Ipad full size fit in gtt fine Ipad minis even easier with factory look
  14. Black and blue series 2 are rare finds Most are white, yellow , red Good luck finding a series 2 in good nick , lower km for under 18-20k the prices are sliding up a bit now for good examples I ordered a black one for the wiff ( ex now.lol) but it was destroyed in the container shipment The series 2 is a more refined car with some decent options , the biggest drawback is the ghey front bar and the huge pissweak wing on some dont take off the wing that makes them look boring like a camry lol Gtr wing , jun tall stands , carbon blade , led modified 3rd light embedded in the wing looks nice :-) but I'm partial haha
  15. Yes its easy, Painted or carbon fiber
  16. Your welcome people need new coilpacks on old cars but that isnt aways the fix! Your error lights wont go off unless battery disconnected and ecu reset , after throttle body fix Pins bent on ecu doubt that highly unless it was monkey'd with , most likely the plug pins in front of intake manifold , thermostat area these corrode bad so sometimes its that simple to sort out Pretty safe to say this is a serious annoying common defect on gtt with all the failures lately
  17. Anyone pinged by beach rd and south rd today the camera was malfunctioning , taking photos of every single car !!!! no staff present testing either
  18. That would have been helpful to know lol Post up photo of gauge with wiring And sensor close up The radiator hose mount needs a ground or you have a flaky gauge and it also helps reduce coolant corrosion
  19. My bad 2 wire gauge Switched 12v on red wire Ground to sender ring term Sender must have a good ground on engine or it wont work right It works with a thermister inside it sensing resitance to ground @ a certain temp which give the gauge the results Unless its a digital 5v gauge not 12v which requires a sender interface or ecu to get a signal
  20. Still missing remote filter and another hose ? 745 bucks anyway I haven't installed that brand so cant comment on how fiddly it is You wont find purple fittings easy I would think? If that matters ?
  21. It can , depends on how its hooked up? if you ditch the housing for rb20 its no longer needed If you dont its your choice ?
  22. Unless its made exactly for the model it takes about the same amount of work ? Not many kit are plug and play simple unless you pay dearly for it Most of the work is laying it out and plotting the path , the install tutorial here wasnt up to my standards but was helpful insight into mounting ideas Anyway you can get the setrab type setup for a third of that cost !!
  23. Wrong sorry Switched 12v -not constant but 12v switched on engine? Red 12v switched @ gauge Black ground @ gauge Green sensor from gauge to threaded portion If your using a inline hose sensor ground the metal hose fitting with supplied screw to chassis close to radiator or engine Some might have a globe illumination wire as well
  24. Group buys Autobahn 88 ebay Mocal Setrab Earls mounted right Hks Greddy thermostat preferred , nessasary if you live anywhere coldish in winter Noticed the autobahn fittings are the same as a few other brands you will need a stainless braided hose cutting item, grinder with diamond blade makes clean quick cuts , airsaw Most likely angled fittings , i just did mine and had to get some angles to make it neat You will need strong zip ties Alloy or rubber coated P clips and a few parralel alloy blocks to make it nice , a length of rubber or protective material about a half metre long stainless is like a slow chainsaw on metal frames etc Remote filter bolts right on fuel filter braket hose , move the filter back a bit The filter supplied by some companies is off a honda . But can be substituted easy pirtek has bits but not cheap " proflow" You will need some metal strap or strap iron /alloy that you can bend , paint, drill and mount You will also need some bolts unless you have a fmic that works perfect to piggy back that mount bolt Mount the cooler up not down to avoid air traps it fit fine in front of washer bottle
  25. Damn dude that sounds bad I wouldnt drive it far or at all Could be simple Old lady handbag dragging or kids bike wheel or a rock in your hubcaps lol But its more likely , brake, axle, bearings, diff, driveshaft or even a tyre falling off Get it up off the ground on stands or lift Run the car at low speed in gear and watch from behind it , do not lay under a car moving ever at home no loose clothing either or jewelry on !! It should stand out easy where its coming from ? Just remember even at idle those wheels will grab you and spit you out while dropping off stands (3 legged ones only not those flimsy tubes) My bet is axle or outer bearing on the stub But not safe at all
