  1. Stick with it man! You are so close (closer than me again lol) and it looks awesome! Its been a long road but it will be worth it!
  2. I tried an Exedy cushioned button and it just melted when i tried to launch..... Clutches may last for a bit above their recommended power level but 1500kms later and mine was rooted!
  3. With Iron filings
  4. If i dont enter i am happy to help out if needed?
  5. Wow thats trippy!
  6. i think it was a day or two... Wasnt too long but was annoying after typing for ages and knowing you then have to wait lol
  7. Looking forward to the read! With NO Vas..........
  8. 4 weeks to get the car finished....... Challenge accepted!
  9. Hope your clutch holds up mate what is the clamp load on it?
  10. Shuddup Been waiting on the clutch so i can put the gearbox back in and get the car off the ramps..... Didnt trust stands!!
  11. Yeah got mine for that price off him a couple of weeks back! Good to deal with too! I am going to sell my old R34GTT Teins for $400 as the rears need seals/rebuild (quoted $195 a side through Fulcrum) so if someone wants a cheap set of coilovers PM me, they are coming out this week.....
  12. yeah heard that on the radio.... Clowns!
  13. more tyres.... Less clutch this time
  14. Nice location for pics.... Gazza was gunna go and I was meant to jump in but between his hayfever and my working late.... Once again I failed lol.... Couple of weeks guys.... Mine isn't photo worthy, it's more cruise spec
  15. Haha nice Jarrad..... There are a lot of idiots buying imports that's for sure as they are awesome value and cheap to buy..... But that shouldn't deter us, with guys like you in our club we will certainly seperate the good from the bad, you did a pretty good job on FB I wanna do track days, but spending heaps ironing out issues with my car so will be a few months before its ready, SAU NATS will be its first big test.... IF it proves successful I am happy to do unofficial track days etc with guys like Fatz that are experienced in organizing events.... The SAU days are always going to be awesome but there is no reason we can't get together and do our own organization with some days.... Texi for me was a fail, but I walked away smiling... Was well run and loved the skids Whilst this year has been a bit full on for me, 2013 is going to be an SAU and motorsport year, plan to get the car to every cruise, hillclimb, Texi, drift day, tech day etc that I can as that's what I spent my life savings to do lol SAU NSW is top notch, if we all chip in we can keep it that way!
  16. Yeah but the price we got was because it was Make An Offer..... The shipping to Aus is a flat rate no matter what.... So you should be able to get them for $600 with the current AUD I reckon
  17. I think the standard weight flywheel is the go, I haven't heard of a clutch overheating... Even though I literally cooked mine (from epic slip)... I believe that the clutch plate will have more puks spread around it which may maker it more user friendly BUT I dunno yet, I'll find out next week when it arrives and report back so OP has a genuine bit of feedback on then
  18. Which then needs a pull to push conversion I think he said, plus twins are generally noisy and annoying... NPC said they would need to modify the off the shelf item (the puck clutch shown) and it would be piggish in traffic... Not really a fan of that, they were great to talk too though... I said I needed one that could handle 400kw of all styles of driving... I guess we will see how my new one goes and then I can actually give some legit feedback... The couple of people I spoke to with JB clutches rate them highly and wouldn't look at anything else, soooooo I'll see how mine turns out, IF it's no good I'll go NPC but I doubt that'll be the case.... BTW I didn't think lightened flywheels were an advantage on an RB? What pros & cons are there?
  19. Yeah I think it was around $70 of something stupid... If you have extra time try source through somewhere like Amayama.com to see if you can save some $$
  20. Brilliant!! I am looking to start teaming up with the MG car club locally... This is a great way to get the guys into track time! Hope it works.... Awesome idea!!
  21. Depends on the car, depends on the power and depends where u wanna go with it.... I had a good chat to NPC but there was nothing off the shelf for me, it had to be modified to suit the power level... They were very helpful, but believe what u want when people talk power ratings.... How do you measure a clutch rating?
  22. You can do better man... Who on EBay?
  23. Join the nats my cars not hypo, but I am keen... It'll be first ever track day so it'll be all balls lol... Totally agree on more SAU track days but we all need to help make them happen, yeah we have the membership which is great but as a club/team whatever you wanna call it we need to make it happen.... Fatz has had days, Kurtis has a day on Monday that needs people, so the guys are working on it I think SAU NSW has so much to give, but it only works if we all give something back too
