Cefiro is safe! But deadset hey. Holden piazza??? Who the hell is going to die in one of those other than it just disintergrating, they should be banned in general. -
Well if they are stupid enough to keep driving it, and just change the plates, then they could well be stupid enough to go down BWCP or at least head down that way. So eyes will be out for sure.

Troubleshooting Battery Draining
dangerous_daveo replied to Duncan's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
How is the computer installed? I was pretty sure you had an aftermarket one? That or say maybe an interior light is left on somehow. Or even just a dash light. I remember on one of our old cars we turned off the interior light, but the door open light still stayed on, so if the car got left for a few days, the battery was dead. I dont think its something big tho. -
Dont get decent speakers for the rear dude Just get some really nice stuff for the front. Just some cheap coaxes would be fine for the rear. And I do belive 6inches fit the holes. But you should really use spacers, Im not sure if speakers would clear all the boot lid opening stuff.

JHHill, and Daniel who is next door. They know a bit.

I doubt any of us will see it, but I shall keep my eyes very open.

Should i get ////ALPINE Speakers?
dangerous_daveo replied to [BURN-EM]'s topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Yeah, he is thinking coaxes Id say. End of the day tho really dude is, whatever you get get them installed correctly with some sound deadening. I had mine redone and deadset, it sounded a LOT better. Then some silly SQ judge (joking, hes not silly) told me about staging and imaging, so now even tho my speakers sound nice, its not 'quality' in terms of where the sound is being percived to be coming from. -
Bloody Darwin??? Does the thing ever actually COOL down??? If your up there Id say 15mins would be excessive.

I looked on the whiteline site before, and they seem to be about $500 for a set (havent done the normal run around to find the cheapest price yet). I was going to say is $500 worth it compaired to say 'X' something else, but I dont think there is anything else that I can do without going nuts. Im still interested to know someone whos done some track work with out them, but say decent suspension gear, then got the sway bars on, and whats their lap time improvement been like.

As far as I think its just the engine warming up. 15mins is a fair while tho... Mines now with the colder weather about 5-6mins.

Its a cheap fix to the greater problem. The problem being is driver training. We are taught how to park, change gears, stop at red lights, and idicate (which a lot of people seem to forget) I think most people arent even taught or tested on a simple task such as merging at highway speed. Not even getting in to defencive driving. And to all of those worried about having to sell your car, like with the gun laws if they were to do that there would have to be a buy back system or something simliar, its too tricky for them to impliment all of that. End of the day you learn more while you are younger, they should be taking full advantage of this and teaching young people how to drive etc better in their younger years. I also think they will find most young persons deaths are related more so to drug driving etc rather than say speed, or inexperience in a situation. The quick fix is a bigger vote winner than the proper solution.

I think replace they with IT being the singular version of they There aint many thats for sure!

I would posibly be load from the inside wheel and outside wheel trying to go round at the same speed, but it wouldnt be whenever the diff its self it locked up as that would happen at anytime under load, and therefore would show up on say a dyno or just straight line. It could be a bit of a wild guess, but it could even be a fuel pump/tank/something else problem, and say the fuel moving about, or a bit of a connection or something is coming loose while cornering, and the jolts from the diff are just making it worse. As I guess less fuel would also cause knock correct? And that with the increased potential load would cause more again. Id say if its a worry the car might be too much on the edge of the tune to start with.

dangerous_daveo replied to n15m0's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
If you like the Ecstas man, wait till you get a decent tyre on there. I found even them to be horible, I had them on the front and they wore out 6months quicker than my rears, as they just slid everywhere. As I have been told by my suspension guy/s. Get Jap brand tyers only, and limit it even more to Yokos, and Brigs, he even then went on to say their cheap stuff is just that. I have Brig GIIIs and I think they are pretty good, wear is fair on them, road noise I wouldnt have a clue, I cant hear the exaust over the diff, so tyre noise isnt there. -
Ok, Im looking at sway bars for the cefiro, as Im still not happy with the set up even with rasing the car, the corner balance, numerous oppinions and suggestions (which are all almost identical) in terms of front end set up with camber, caster etc. Sooo, pros and cons of them. How do they work, why are they needed/not needed. Is adjustable worth the extra money, and finally, Id be using S13 ones, the cef is obviously a fair bit more heavy, and this Im guessing would be even more so on corners, braking etc due to inertia, so keeping that in mind would I need to go bigger. BTW, the idea of the car is good for normal street driving, more spirited street driving, and then for some semis to be thrown on the car for track stuff. Basically set up for fun, not professional race car or drift car. Thanks!

Yeah you did man. Big help it was too. But yeah, doing the deadening made a big difference. Probably mostly the foam on the door card its self. Its really soild now, like you cant move it, it feels a lot stronger.

That will be happening soon... along with some 6 1/2inch MB Quart reference drivers
