  1. Thats old as the hills, and in the States. Id say more so, he cant drive.
  2. You mean the plastic things that go above the doors? To stop rain and that? If so I do belive you can not get them from nissan. I had a thought about it the other day that some aftermarket company in Japan might still make them. Other than that stiff.
  3. You have something like an rb30 too? I'll see if I can make it too. I should save my money tho.
  4. I also have the motul oil... But I actually found the box to be smoother. But then I do have a crunch, but its when its cold... not hot. So god knows.
  5. Yeah I got pontenza GIIIs, and GIIs on the stockos. I think there are a fair few sorts. Might be an idea if you get no joy on here to ring up a few shops, if they all say X is the replacement then they are all probably right. Then once you know what they are you can go from there.
  6. Hey dude, they kinda let me on a skyline cruise! You should be apples!
  7. Hmm yeah, could be... but would that really be effected by heat? I mean thats what gets me, and should be a big giveaway to someone, once it heats up it is smooth as, shifts fast and fine, with NO crunches.
  8. Dude, try putting stuff on that you know works again, and resetting the ecu. Other than that, the engine could be RS by now???
  9. Just a quick bump with for this with some new info. mechanic has had a bit of a play and a drive, and he seems to think it would probably be the gearbox. And more specifically the 2nd gear syncro being too tight. Now my question is how/why does this happen??? Such as would the rebuild have caused this, or is it just something that can happen. 2nd question, is there a 'band aid' fix for this problem? Such as thinner oil, some kind of additive etc? Or even something so the box just warms up quicker to lessen the time I cant get it in to gear.
  10. Depends on the laws that you read also, and how they are interpreted. I mean almost any mod can be engineered so its legal. But then you go to EPA and your stuffed. Or the cops decide to pull out the ADR book. End of the day, do what you want to do, enjoy your car. If you dont give the police a reason to pull you over to the point where they are lifting the bonnet you should be right anyway. Just dont show big crowds of people
  11. Just remember tho, if you dont get that camber fixed up your throwing the money away They will just wear out again. So if it was me (which it isnt..) Id be looking to fix that asap.
  12. So is a split pulse turbo better or worse??? Im guessing in the case of twins normal would be best. Also is a even or uneven split pulse turbo better than the other??? Assuming split pulse is better.
  13. Correct! Even if it makes the car BETTER for the enivronment its illegal.
  14. Dude, look at it this way... Outside number being the tyre, inside being the rim... 11 22 33 44 then when you get the tyres rotated, imagion the tyre COMES OFF THE RIM and on to the other sides rim. So you get your semi rotation done, it will then look like this... 21 21 43 43 Get it? Personally you shouldnt have to do this as your tyres should wear even, even with a full on set up, as it should be set up to your driving style so the tyres have even wear, as if they have even wear they are gripping the most they can most of the time...
  15. I think its safe to say, dont ask that question in the suspension/tyres/handeling bit... Sometimes wider tyres can have an adverse effect to handleing. I lost the document when we got the new computer. But it comes down to many other factors. Such as rolling resistance, etc. But yeah, up to a point wider tyres will give more grip. But you will find probably a better quality rubber will be more effective.
  16. Easy way to tell if they car is too low. Look at all the arms, if they are flat then its too bloody low. Also quick question, if my front is higher than my rear, what effect either positive or negitive (pardon the semi pun) would this have?
  17. So would say a split pulse either even or offset be better than say one big mouth? Obviously with a well set up exaust manifold that also pulsates.
  18. Unless you have resently done something to the car (or let Mark at it again...) then Id say its either a dirt issue, or something wearing out/down, or something has come off or lose. Prob either what Erin said or similar. Id be looking for a split vac hose but. Its not exactly a new car anymore.
  19. Doesnt sound as good as X car has 50hp more than Z car... X car will sell more because more power is what people want, twin turbos dont mean willy if your sitting behind car X. If its about selling cars that is. One engine that comes to mind is an RB30DET done by JH Hill, boost came on at 2000rpm (this is using Gibson motorsport twins, not sure of specs) by 4500 it had 400rwhp, and thats as far as they got, it started spinning too much to tune it. That was about 4 years ago, the car is mental. And how can you say that a single bb turbo is better than two bb turbos? If both have a proper set up?
  20. I was looking on the wolf site the other day, and Im pretty sure they had an R32 boost controler on there. Or are you talking about something different?
  21. Just STAY AWAY from those bloody kumos! Me personally would be spending the money to get a decent tyre. Think of it this way... the tyre is the bit in contact with the ground, if you have the worlds best brakes, suspension etc, doesnt mean bugger all with cheap tyres. If you can google the tyre you chose, and a few others your looking at, try and find some reviews or something. And I dont mean to sound rude, but say you had two slicks next to each other, both look the same, black flat, and made from rubber, might be from the same factory, different name, but the rubber is probably different.
  22. Thats pretty bloody tidy tho Nico!
  23. Mines about 1.8- or 1.9- and I have near on perfect tyre wear. From my understanding obviously like other things, UP TO A POINT rear camber is good for getting out of corners, as you boot it, the tyre grips, instead of the inside not being in contact with the road. Obviously too much as the other effect, and then starts wearing too much on straights.
  24. I dont mean to sound daft... But why? Keeping in the back of your head I know how they work
  25. And an option to search through a particular thread.
