  1. Twice as many doors, twice as good! And in most cases about half the bloody price! (slight over exageration)
  2. Still crunches rev matching, as I almost always do that anyway. I had a thought today that maybe its the clutch over extending, and when it warms up the clutch line expands more therefore canceling out the over extention? Im going to get it back in next week try and get an idea on what the hell is going on with it.
  3. I was talking to my mechanic today. He was saying a while ago they did a GTSt R32 with an RB30 bottom end and RB26 head, and they used the Gibson Motorsport twin turbos that were on the GroupA GTRs. Now as much as this motor got pretty much the best of everything, he was saying, he would NEVER put his foot flat in this car. So out of interest, as I know a few of you have all crazy calculations etc to work it all out. How nut would that be? Considering the car spun on the dyno in 4th at 4000rpm just after it had hit about 400rwhp. (I wouldnt ever go that far). Its more so just asking the question, and seeing what others think. Im just really intersted to see what people think of the smaller twins.
  4. It was $900 all up including labour to take and put the box back in, and also the 5th gear selector fork. But as they had to pull the box apart anyway for the selector it would be approx the same. But anyway, back on to the topic in hand. We igorne its the bloody oil ok. As WHEN IT IS WARMED UP IT IS OK!!! The gearbox is smooth other than that crunch. After thinking about it a bit more today i noticed its almost like a switch, it does it, then gets to a point and goes away. It doesnt creep up getting better. (or so I think, it could be me just hear CRUCNH, then I shift like a full on pansy for the next 30mins)
  5. Ok, all done today, along with a corner ballance. So what bloody happens, it buckets down with rain. But it did imeadiately feel a LOT better to drive. I'll post back again once it drys up.
  6. Ask a stupid question tho Roy, when are you going to actually sell the bloody thing??? Also, before you go away, can you put alllll of your findings in to a book or something? You could call it "Roys Book of Bloody good tips for RB20s!"
  7. What, since 15yo rule was introduced? Wasnt it YEARS and YEARS ago? So 20 000cars isnt that many over that space of time. But if it was just last year, yeah, thats a heapo cars.
  8. Maybe if you called it a 4 door people would know what your talking about. But yeah, full on nice car! Look he even has a trader rating! If you buy it tonite he will throw in his first born! (dont worry strutto, you yourself cant have kids loophole)
  9. Go round your mates place, take one whell off his car, one off yours and give it a go! But are FTOs even 5 stud?
  10. We put in some fancy pants motul stuff. I dont see how it is "tired" tho when its been basically rebuilt other than the syncros as they were in tip top shape. My point is after 1hours driving or so, not even giving it any, just sitting at say 60-80kmh its 100% fine, no crunch or anything. This is what made us think it was the oil, as its still crunching even after fancy pants oil, its got to be something else, just using logic and process of elimination.
  11. Few quick questions. Brake booster stoppers. Are they a multi fit? If not A31 cefiros, which ones would fit if they dont make one for them (would ABS make any difference also) As well as the radiator cooling plate. Also to suit an A31 cefiro. Even if you are able to otherwise source those parts that would be great. Thanks!
  12. Refunds for those who cant make it??? Because Wed is a really really bad day for me.
  13. Ok, what I would think to be a really odd sort of problem. Good old RB20DET gearbox, its got brand new bearings in it, and when all that happened the sincs were also deglazed, and in general I was given a gold medal for my gearbox (selector broke, hence the semi rebuild, much cheaper to do both at once). So going by that its is NOT sincs. Anyway, the problem is the gearbox is horbile until the car is warm (ie, 30mins or so of driving) and the gears mostly 2nd & 3rd crunch rather badly, more so 2nd on down shifts. (3000rpm, will not go in to 2nd at all). You can all so feel it being a bit notchy on the other gears. Then once it is warm, it will do whatever I like fairly easy. Still isnt too keen tho until about 1-1.5hours of driving. So, today the gearbox oil was changed, this makes the changes smoother once its warm, and the whole feel of the box better, but didnt do bugger all to stop this crunching. So my question is, what the hell could it be!?
  14. What sampling as many wifes as you can? Or just girls in general?

Oh yeah. Bit fishy that nite was... hahahah! Bloody drunk boat drivers in their cars catching under sized fish as well!!!
  16. Lots and lots and lots of theorys on how to run an engine in... But yeah, Id say how all your little hoses are hooked up, just if stuff was working before, and isnt now, its more than likey going to be something small that would be easy missed. Such as forgetting to put a piston in, thats big stuff, it just wouldnt happen. Putting a little hose on the wrong nipple, thats easy as to miss.
  17. They are wack, we have them as company cars. I dont like the whole dash thing, but the drink coolers are rad. As are leather seats and the sunroof
  18. I think what would make it better is if anyone knows anyone on CAA get them to post on here more often Just seems skylines arent the most common car to be used for sound gear.
  19. No, you are the one with the skyline. Andrew must race!
  20. Bugger me? Really? So me rolling for 14kms thinking I just broke a world record didnt really happen? I did get 607kms to that tank tho... (btw, hill late at night, no cars, didnt get over about 60kmh)
  21. Anyway, back to the wife racing. Whats the prize for who wins?
  22. Money transfered! Then car goes in tomorrow for a bit of quick stuff, goes in to suspension place to get raised, corner balance, and a proper wheel alinement! Then try and get a set of stock rims by the day also!
  23. Speaking of people movers... I saw one of those new Honda Oddises (sp?) with a slight kit, and blacked out rear lights. Also lowered a bit, with I think different wheels. Deadset hey, if contraception doesnt work Im getting me one of those!
  24. YEAH! Up yours strutto!
  25. He is 100% right. It does. Especially with a "for life" after it
