Pretty much agree with Mr Eps, other than the whole impala bit... If we go for a drive, we put my car in his boot, and his little mazda 323 in the glove box. An Impalas boot is HUGE!!! And they cant drift, trust me on that! (impalas that is) But yeah, honistly, if you want a little crapbox to drift just get an AE82, heaps cheaper, less attention (to the point where we saw a turboed one drifting in the wet get let off, and the bonnet wasnt even lifted as the cops didnt hear the turbo) **note, cops also checked rear tyres of above mentioned mazda, found flat spots on them, saw spare rims in the car, and asked had we been doing burn outs...** Anyway, 10 points for cefiro! 1 point for AE82, 0000 points for AE86!

I should also probably mention Id be getting the tweeters re-aimed, and the drivers remounted properly so they have some kind of angle on them. As per topic. Sound deadening the Cef. I want to do it once, and I want to do it properly. First thing, Im not going to do it myself. I get far too frustrated working on cars, especially when I have NO idea on what Im doing. So far my research has come up with using dynamat or a similar product, and from what I could understand from what I was reading you kind of want to make the hollow of the door your effective speaker box. This meaning you have to basically fill up all the holes in it? Anyway, my questions are. Where to go, What to use, How much I should be paying, (Id just be doing the two front doors). Anything inparticular I should be asking said company to do/not do. Anything else I should know. Also, I have MB Quart splits, so they can handle a bit of power, hence Im not using them properly due to the insane abount of door rattles. Thanks!

Im just thinking it shouldnt be a pump. Really it shouldnt be a malpassi either, just I know when I had a black top one (not silver top) it had problems after it got warmer. Think about it, you turn off the car... and it comes good for a bit, stuff with no processing isnt that smart, it wouldnt know if you turned it off or not. Say it was a heat isssue, they wouldnt reset. The money wouldnt be wasted going for bigger and better stuff, but if its not going to solve the problem...

Roy, probably NA RX-7 injectors, which are I do belive 460ish. Id say they would go better than the 550s for driveablity also. Id just upgrade it tho anyway. Why do things by halfs? Also if the engine goes, then thats another thing your going to need to upgrade then. Id also guess the bigger size would let a bit more air thru, not a lot but hey, every little bit!

I seem to remember reading somewhere on here (but never found it again) that there was also a way to compleatly reset the idle, so you can then set it properly. It also involved the ECU???

I occasionally get this too. At first we thought it to be a vacume leak, but we never found one (doesnt mean it isnt a vacume leak tho)
