  1. Do they do anything in the way of rebuilds?
  2. SHOT GUN Air-con control unit (the part with the buttons on the dash)!!! $20??? Or tell me if Im dreaming. PM as well. And if you dont read that, I'll come down on the weekend whenever your most free!!! I'll also look at the floor matts.
  3. Right on. I Had a black one on mine and it caused some problems. So a mate put it on his car, had no worries.
  4. Out of interest, how much did you lower it?
  5. You sure it was a standard RB20 last year??? Not trying to have a go, but I was pretty sure that car has had a built motor in it for years.
  6. No but I found a major error. ITS MUM!!! We are NOT American. This is NOT Amertralia!!! Bloody hell!
  7. Not really hey dude, as there are a number of laws/rules for different modifications, and a number of different ways of interpreting them. Just a quick example. One of my mates has a rather largish engine in his gemini, now going by one rule he must upgrade the brakes as part of the conversion, IE they are covered under the engine conversion mod plate. However hes been pulled up on it a few times, why he doesnt have a mod plate for the brakes, which he then explains the above and normally gets left alone from there. Hes since got a mod plate for them as he was getting other stuff plated at the same time. **where the law is stupid tho, they used piaza turbo brakes as the conversion item, and we all know how good they were!** (last bit is a joke...)
  8. Hmm, also what time were you lot thinking?
  9. Can someone please explain what a dry sump is and its advantages/disadvantages over a normal/the above bigger sumps are?
  10. Is that really your engine bay? Cause thats a hell good sleeper if it is!
  11. Well that all depends on if the nut became loose, or was loose to start with doesnt it.
  12. Dude, in that case you soooo gota be a smart arse and say... "why, were you doing something wrong officer?" why else would they be in fear of you taking a photo (which you didnt take anyway)
  13. You guys need to stop whining and buy cefiros aye. My car is noisy, bright red, doesnt look like anything else, has a 2 way diff, fairly low, creaks and clunks going round corners, and stands out like dogs balls, but I dont get pulled over. And I go to bwcp almost every week, and I have no fear in doing so. But as SkylineGeoff said, dont be an idiot, and know what your talking about and you should be fine, you'll only get done for stuff thats actually majorly wrong. Treating them as humans isnt a bad idea, especially if they arent giving you the same treatment. Also aways get out of the car before they get out, and have your licence ready to hand to them. Turn off your car, stuff the turbo timer, once wont kill it. Also dont fall for STTF traps, they try and make you admit to doing more wrong that you posibly have been.
  14. I just had my slave re-sleaved and it cost $70, and it made a LOT of difference, the clutch was a lot less heavey etc. Seriously dude, just get it done.
  15. I have a better idea than better tyres etc... Lift up your right foot off the right pedal... I find its the best way of stopping the rear from kicking out.
  16. DOoooeeeeetttt!!! And then some of those fancy low profile white walls as well!
  17. Yeah dude. Go to DJ Sivyer Mechanical, hes just off compton road, in Timms Court, #10. PH# 3290 2967. Some weeks he can be quite busy, so its best to ring and see when you can book it in. But lets just say he saved me a lot of money as I went to him not another work shop that said my water pump was leaking (this was last August, its still not leaking, and even after a good pressure test it never leaked, IE, my water pump was not leaking and did not need changning). Hes also extreamly thorough (sp) checks everything twice. (I've seen some other mechanics, they pull the car apart, and dont put it back, and or dont double check stuff). Hes honist, and knows skylines and RBs pretty darn good. I can not recomend him highly enough. Sorry for the ramble, but yeah, he really is quite good.
  18. I know someone who has an '86 one, they were insane even then! But those top of the line toyota things just axe them something chronic.
  19. So how do you go about fitting harnesses with the drop top???
  20. Back on topic Im assuming rightly in that cost doesnt included drinks? And are they BYO or dinein, or whatever the oppoisite to BYO is. *I dont plan on getting sloshed, but 1 glass of wine with Italian really does top off the meal ever so nice* also, ya get thursty!
  21. I wanted TAXI plates... But they are taken, some one has them on their camary of all things
  22. Well mine got changed with the stuff the mechanic had, seems a lot smoother already (mind you the stuff in there was black, and there seemed to be a rock *dunno but, could have been on the outside*) It was valvoline stuff 90-something. But yeah, as I said, less cluncks, and a fair bit smoother.
  23. I only have a 10inch so nuurrrrrr to you But yeah, I was going to ask the same thing, but not in such a blunt matter. Basically, whats the point?
  24. I really really really wish I had the money to buy a 'spare' one so to speak. I gota say yours is heaps tidy.
