    Track Wheel's

I noticed some new 18's have surfaced, might be worth checking out http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=58576
  3. Guys i have had a huge interest in these, at least 10 people wanting them. I am working through the list from first respondant onwards, if i don't come back to you within a day or two they may be sold. I will update this thread when sold.
  4. this thread is hilarous
  5. 270 is the width, however they are closer to 285 68 is how tall they are (680) 18" Btw guys, i have 4x Advan AD08's too, only done one track day I think they are 285/30/18's
  6. Hey guys i am moving house soon, so I would like to clear out the clutter R35 Stuff: Active Aermotions Wing mounted on boot (easy to swap with stocker) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/372559-for-sale-active-aeromotions-wing-to-suit-r35/ JRZ suspension http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/372560-for-sale-jrz-pro-silent-coilovers/ Some used slicks: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/372562-for-sale-used-michelin-slicks-276818s/ I also have a Stainless steel mid-pipe in the garage somewhere (Willall), asking $300 for that. Any question, PM please.
  7. I have for sale a set of used Michelin Slicks Compound: S9 Size: 27/68/18's As per pics these are mounted on rims, however both front rims are CRACKED and throw aways. The rears rims look ok, which are 18x10.5" Tyres are fine however, and should last two to three track days. $200 the lot. Sydney pickup only.
  8. I have for sale a pair of RE55's used for 1 track day, should be good for several more. 285/30/18's These retail for over $500ea. Asking $50ea for these two. Sydney pick up only, PM me for details.
  9. I have for sale a set of JRZ Pro-Silent coilovers to suit R35, these are double adjustable (bump/rebound) and are in good condition, ready to bolt straight up. They come with the remote cables such that you can adjust the rear tops from inside the cabin. RRP is $7000AU I've had them on the car for about 5000km. Asking $4500ono. These helped me win the NSW State Sprint title last year, setting from insane times for a 1700kg road car. Comes with 1100lb springs, however you can buy whatever springs/rates you prefer relatively cheap.
  10. I have for sale my Aeromotions ACTIVE carbon wing, suited for R35. It is mounted on a carbon boot, such that you can swap from stocker to race in 10~15 minutes (you replace the whole boot lid and wing in one go, no stuffing around). The unit comes with a g-force metre/computer, which adjusts the wing angle on the fly (on track) OR locked in position. For example, it will flatten out on the straights and adjust to certain angles for high speed and low speed corners, automagically. The actuator is mounted underneath the boot deck, as per pic below. This wing helped me win the NSW state sprint championships, running some very quick times for a road going car driven to and from the track. Asking $4000 for the complete unit, including wing, bootlid, actuators, g-force computer etc. The active aero system is fully programmable, you can set desired angles, etc etc. if you so desire, and i can give you data on which angles work at EC and WP. Prefer Sydney pickup, PM for more details. The unit is off the car, 100% assembled, ready to go.
  11. I have for sale a Sparco V seat which will bolt straight into an R35. Near new condition. Asking $500 for seat including mount/sliders. Prefer Sydney pickup. PM for more details.
  12. Oh dear, mafless tuning! Another whole generation of debates. Where's uncle tone? Seriously Though Martin, good stuff. Any OTR's?? Ha ha.
  13. wow. Did they use launch control?

    Track Wheel's

You should add enkie GTC01 18x10x22 to your list (much better clearance vs the te37 etc). Square setup, flip left/right/front/back and cheap-ish. I've used them at a few track days... And as far as i know they don't make 19" RE55's
  15. Well, despite everything i said before, we all need goals and motivation, so i reckon target what you really want and go for it. Your plan about selling the car and saving up a bit doesn't sound too bad. I am sure you will be motivated to save this way, and you never know what may crop up in the meantime (new cars etc).
  16. My thougts are: 1. Don't sell your property 2. If you must buy an expensive car, draw on the equity in the property instead A couple of other points.. An R35 will depreciate at about $2k a month, think about that. Also, if you want to use the car as intended and track it, it can get VERY addictive and VERY expensive, if you do regular sprints and practice days etc, it's going to cost you about another $2k a month also. Then start thinking about the usual mods everyone does.... If you just want a flash road car, you sould get something else IMO. As a road car, the R35 is relatively uncomfortable, expensive and boring (unless you are willing to drive like a royal knob). However if you want to run the same lap times as the best exotics, for less than half their cost, and yet still DRIVE to the track, in that sense it's the perfect road car.
  17. Me too, this build is insane!
  18. Are you in Sydney? I might have some spare 2nd hand slicks. Slicks work fine with stocker suspension. However if you want hardcore suspension, i will be selling my JRZ's soon (putting stockers back in).
  19. If i was starting again with (with tracking a GTR) the first thing i would do is immediately get some used michelin 270/68/18" slicks and a set of enkie GTC-01 (18x10x22). The wheels are pretty cheap (about $2k a set) you can swap them front to back, and the 2nd hand race slicks are generally about $50ea. This tyre/wheel combo will literally transform the car and will easily be seconds faster that any street tyre. From there i would get some AP rotors and perhaps MX72's like mark says, they are a great street/track compromise pad. Combine that with a exhaust and tune, and you're going to be 95% as fast as you will ever go in the car (assuming you want to leave it a rego'd car).
  20. Anyone remember when you could buy firearms and ammo at K-Mart (yes, in australia!!) ?? It wasnt all that long ago, perhaps they put a stop to that in the 80's..
  21. Not sure it's all about guns and gun ownership.. it's probably more a long term cultural condition.
  22. Just because it's 'normal' there - doesn't make it right. Reading that thread (and othes like it, you should see some of the f**ked up weapons some of those guys have) you just know most of them are living out some childhood fantasies owning some of those weapons. It's just ridiculous. I wouldn't post this on the US forum, they mostly ignore non-US people as it is, they would have a fit if anyone tried to comment on their gun laws. Just look at their homicide rate per head of population, it's up their with some seriously screwed up countries.
  23. They are mad. I wanted to express my disgust on that thread, but it would be completely lost on them.
