ps earthing the solenoid on a rs four "S" does nothing . they are on high boost all the time

i have an rs four s it has a catback exhaust , gutted cat , HDI fmi . standard air box .defi boost gauge when i fitted the fmi it would run an unstable .8 bar on standard boost controll and was not happy . surgey . hit boost cut a couple of times i bypassed the stock solenoid and and swapped the waste gate actuator for a r32 one plumbed straight off the compressor housing , rock soild .8 bar car not happy . started pulling timing between 4500 and 6000 rpm i now have standard waste gate actuator back on and old school avc-r boost controller . .7 bar and car is happy . goes hard . standard coils .standard ecu. what ever plugs came in it . 126000 kays . no hint of a stain above the exhaust 0-100 in 6.2 seconds

its not a spike either a spike is if you graphed it and the graph had a sudden rise then sudden drop eg a spike and its normal what are you worried about and that earth has SFA to do with anything

the fibre washer wont do much . might make matters worse actualy as the spark plug boot wont fit on the sparkplug properly once they have been cooked for 10 years they are f**ked . fibre washers would be preventitve . not corrective

GET A REAL BOOST GAUGE standard one + boost controller = fail

i know of a few people who have rb20dets that will miss on number 5 randomly the solution is juat as random . try un plugging your afm while the car is running . that fixes 3 different cars i know . yes it sounds completelty stupid and like it wont work and i dont know why it works or what the storey is as i have never needed to find out other than that check #5 for fuel and spark

it should run 10 psi standard and up to about 13 with those mods . 20det turbos wont make much more anyway . you could check the hose that runs from the compressor housing to the wastegate actuator might be split or fallen off

if you dont know what your looking at then it really doesnt matter if its real or not if you buy it and it works fine and looks fine and your happy who cares tell him youll give him a $50 bag as its most likely what he paid for it if he doesnt know much about it and why is it primer ??

sounds alarm related does the dash still work when the engine shuts down? or it does too what capabilities does your alarm have /what does it turn odd/immobolise does engine die very abruptly (eg no spark) or takes a couple of seconds to die(fuel pump turning off) have you checked the ecu error codes ? it there is none itll be alarm

what do you think ?? do a search is what we think

answer to #1 is secret squirrel tweak . what you have to do when you put a gtt ecu in a manual stagea as they dont have traction controll either #3 all that does is povide an earth from 4500 rpm to redline . you could wire in somthing with the same resistance as the solenoid

get someone to tack weld a bit of bar or somethign to it .

ever done a fuel filter or pump ? or checked timing?

means you can change gear faster

thrust bearing carrier seized onto shaft . clutch pressure not enough fo forse it back

starting it in gear with un uprated clutch could have something to do with it
