  1. Even with the housing coated there is a lot of radiant heat, beanie was the best then the heat shield. Only problem with the beanie was my last one was rubbish and fell apart in a couple of months, I'm looking at a better one now, you get whether you pay for. Heat shielding on the top mount didn't look good as it was to shiny, and no matter how much time I put into it it still didn't make me happy aesthetics wise. Finding a quality beanie that will withstand the heat without falling apart is the most efficient and aesthetically pleasing option in my opinion.
  2. Thermostat ?
  3. Is the front undertray from the front bar back of the radiator back, if its front bar back will you be home late this arvo
  4. In NSW its OK, apparently

  6. We need a " legal thread", changing road laws, legal mods, engineering legalitys.
  7. Get it on and tuned man
  8. It is a lawfull order, pity that alot of fully hecktic people think they are super awsome and the laws that everyone else have to follow doesnt include them. In the end it will be fine because hopefully they will never breed and their genes of stupidity and heckticness will die with them.
  9. 4 x R34 GTT rims with near new Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1 245/45R 17 Specs http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Dunlop&tireModel=Direzza+Sport+Z1+Star+Spec Tyres are near new, Ive had them for a year and Ive only done about 1000 Ks on them. Build date 0211. $500 for the lot, no offers.
  10. Thanks for the pics, rang about the one way valve yesterday, they say it needs 3 psi to open, which would mean the can wouldn't ever return the oil from the can to the sump as I don't think the weight of the oil would be enough to open the valve. I'm looking at a air oil separator above the cam covers prior to the can now. NISMO make one apparently.
  11. Pick up only I got these for the passenger side but forgot my drivers side was blue. Used once. Date of Manufacture - June 2011 My stupidity is your gain. $70
  12. Im a first class metal worker second class welder, trust me, its a HUGE job, you will need to modify both the doner and parent materials, the inner guards are not that big of a issue i.e.( (same as tubbing) (still a huge job in itself though)) its the exterior panels mating up on all axis and curves that will be the problem. It would be a pity to do it when in the end it may turn out like a dogs breakfast. Dont get me wrong, if you can do it go for it, other wise just be aware that it will take a top quality fabricator ages to do it, and ages will cost alot.
  13. To tell you the truth I have removed the heat shield, worked fine but was to shiny for my black engine bay, Im looking at getting one of the benies in the link from Revolution Race Gear, the quality is 100% better than the one I got from "torque in a shoebox", I spoke to them about my old one falling apart due to it not being engineered correctly, the R R G ones are constructed to take high heat, they make them for race cars. http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?PCID=10314&PSO=245&PSID=3389010144&PSV=Primary&CDO= As for fitting, I used the 2 rear power steering bracket bolts which held it fine.
  14. Make a template with some cardboard and then get it made at you local sheet metal workers, shouldnt cost more than $50 for a nice alluminium one, then paint it.
  15. What material is the manifold mate ?
  16. Yes too, thowing your tune out, and vac lines not right, Ive got one on my motor, only problems I had was the injectors didnt seat properly, mine is fixed and loves 25lb now.
  17. Is this so even if the drain goes to the hot side of the sump, this one way valve is something I havent looked at, is it a EARLS or SPEED FLOW product ? And where do I get one ?
  18. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/314551-great-deals-on-radiators/ FENIX radiators is a SAU NSW sponser http://fenixautopart.com/contacts.asp?selectclassid=006001
  19. SSCC has a great tag line "Ban low performance drivers NOT high performance cars"
  20. Mine has 25 covers with another 2 extra baffled fittings installed at the rear, like a 26 cover, didn't fix my problems though, the oil air separator above the motor may be doing the hard work maybe ?
