  1. That'd be folks on the way back from the cruise. Went home in dribs and drabs. Wasn't part of that group however i didn't see you before that.
  2. Mmm, nice weather, and i even managed to wake up on time! cars washed, tanks full... even got a mate riding along so i'll have someone to talk to. Good day is looking good.
  3. R16 of course.
  4. After doing tires (among other things) at the local wrecker when i was a kid, i have to agree.
  5. I think you'll find that most stuff has scrap metal in it. Doesn't mean it's any worse than what they'd hvae put in it using pure metal. By all accounts its a great small 4wd though, particurally for its time. Its no landcruiser of course, but it had decent suspension for its time.
  6. Russian... I wouldn't mind a Niva, they're basically a much more awesome version of the old suzuki serria i used to have. British.... didn't they make MG B's in the 90's with the same design that they used in the 70's?
  7. I'd imagine the supercharged engines will probably filter down into the XR8's in a few years or so (maybe when the next 10-15kw jump brings them upto the power that the GS has now?)
  8. How much heavier are RB's anyway, really? I've heard people say 100kg's more than VQ's, but that sounds like its to much, as if someones measuring a RB with parts attached compared to a stripped VQ, but clarification would be nice. You could buy a billet Alumium Rb26 if you have lots of spare cash though.
  9. I plan on picking up a second hand FG, maybe not a F6, as my next car in a few years. The value of falcons goes to shit quickly, but its great for second hand buyers.
  10. I missed the leasing part. Still, a 8K loan would be cheaper monthly than a 20K car lease wouldn't it?
  11. Yeah, you're right. And right. If I was buying a small car that'd be what i'd get. That being said, for the a fraction of same price as a new micra you could pick up something like an old 4 banger second gen Magna running LPG. 4 cylinders so rego isn't more expensive, gets a similar cost equivlant milage and the bloody cars are indestructable (300000k's? nothing). Not to mention the extra space (and they're good for spinning out at lakeside). If you wan't an A to B car and don't need it to make a social statement or something, you can do soooo much better than buying brand new. edit: for reference. new micra is ~20K full cost. Couldn't find any older ones, but 2003 ish year model Magna's with the 3.5L 6cyl engine, dual fuel, go for about 8K plus on roads. You really don't get twice the car in the micra..
  12. I still stand by the fact that, (apart from the headlights) the new micras are some of the best looking cars being sold today (at least, japanese cars)
  13. But but... i'd just polished my steel caps up for tonight! Looking foward to some nice food though.
  14. The new toyota Ft86 is supposed to have direct injection on a 2L engine. I could see the aftermarket having some fun with that. Of course you'd have to turbo it first, which i imagine could be a right royal pain in the arse.
  15. When the offence for lying is much worse that what your lying to get out of, its probably not worth the risk. Least that's been my experience.
  16. Hmm, speaking of that, i think my rego expires in 5 days, and i've yet to hear anything from QT about it. edit: just checked. A month and 5 days. Almost owned my car for 5 months though, sweet!
  17. I managed to throw up dinner at about 1am (thankfully i'd put a bucket beside my bed just incase), and breakfast after i'd had that. Not feeling good, so i don't think there'll be any whale watching for me tommorow.
  18. Purple R33 GTR with SAU stickers that went into an apartment on sir fred drive near UQ and then came out later, up the street and did a U turn at the roundabout. I was one of the guys in the high vis vests doing the Traffic noise measurements across the road. Waved but My car wasn't anywhere nearby so i probably just looked like some angry uni student who was upset about his noise measurements. Also saw a pair of white r34's coming and going around the multi story there.
  19. Fox meetup is wednesday next week. New exec team are doing a meeting at the fox tonight, or something. I guess i'll head to bnr at 8 or so
  20. I wonder what my parents did to their only 1995 model telstra phone... get the feeling that that's not what your looking for though.
  21. Mate, that's what i was saying! Your right in that radiation on cars isn't really bullshit, there's radiation on everything. even banana's emit radiation. The fear of it is bullshit though. Hopefully noone gets stung by water damaged imports though.
  22. There's stuff in the game code already for DLC maps. Good option is that they release a few free and a map making tool (though supposedly you can shoehorn the art assets into the map maker of some other source game and that it only crashes occasionally. bodge job though). Bad option would be of course paid maps... But at least i'm pretty sure that we're going to get something.
  23. I think it means cars that have been written off/flood damaged more than anything. Radation on the cars is bullshit.
