  1. Where'd you end up heading off to? so much for "i'll be back". Not that it matters to much, since I had mates there and we struck up a convo with some Kiwi guy who claimed he has a 9 second road bike (not racing). Heat treatments almost ran into the side of the track though, they had a dissapointing night i think.
  2. Some people at this uni a f**king dirty. One of the common room type setups we have here is absolutly f**king filthy. Rubbish left on tables, bits of paper on floors, chairs everywhere. edit: haha word filter
  3. I meant what time does it start and what time does it finish. But 8 second passes would be nice to see. Some quick digging says that there's a top fuel drags on on friday, not a test and tune. And also that its 20 bucks for spectators at test and tunes aswell.
  4. Don't think i've ever been to the drag's. Whats the price to get in to watch? what sort of times do they run to?
  5. Not digging those wheels actually, but i can see the blue being nice.
  6. I've got no idea of the exact r34 size, but i'm getting its up around the 65-75L mark. If you use most of it, say 60L before you fill up your looking at something like 90-100 bucks to fill up depending on the price for premium at the moment (just do the maths) A rb30 would probably use more fuel than a rb25, but most of it would depend on how you drive. I've managed to get under 10L/100km in my '32, and I don't do much city driving in it so i usually sit somewhere between 10.5-11.5L/100, which is pretty good even thesedays
  7. Not bad. give you 100 bucks for it. Seriously though, the r31 coupes don't look to bad at all.
  8. He was doing 104 at the time of the impact. Probably 120+ when he started to brake.
  9. Do they sell irish whiskey icecream at Bnr? Looks like there's some storms coming though.
  10. So if you own a soarer you have to get it excessivly lowered and have huge chromies on it..
  11. Don't really have the time or effort to bother debating anything. Just notice that i drive a skyline.
  12. God i hate that kind of shit. "ohh, its such a tiny amount of carbon dioxide it can' tbe doing anything bad. Also OMG someone got a little bit of radiation on them, nuclear power is bad!". cant have your cake and eat it to. Fact is, you might be only putting 3% more carbon in, but if that's enough to cause a certain amount of climate change that is bad, then that's what's happening. Now personally i think a better way to spend money would to future proof ourselves, but that's another argument.
  13. You can hook up 12 volts to the motor to see if it goes up in down so you can rule in/out that. Had it setup with a plug into the lighter socket to move the window up when it finally got stuck down.
  14. I have a window motor in brisbane, its currently in a smashed '33 door. It should work but i haven't tested it due to the fact the doors busted. I canabilized the relay box for my '32 though. Are you sure its the motor and relay going at once? that sounds a bit strange.
  15. Helluva fun day out. Went back home and took my mate in the magna out learning auto in the 'line. Didn't work to well (he didn't spin it though), so took him out in my dad's swift and he got the hang of it pretty quickly. Productive afternoon!
  16. Needed more gutter scraping and foot crushing though.
  17. carpet could be free from a carpet shop, they usually get some damaged etc stuff they just chuck out
  18. He's had his opens for a few months already, which Is why i'm considering it. I know that you don't need to get a special licence to learn manual, you just do it on your Auto and whack L plates on, so i don't think there'd be any power restrictions. (of course there's so little info on the power restrictions themselves, something as obscure as this doens't even warrent a mention that i've seen.)
  19. I'm wondering if I should stick L plates on my skyline and teach my mate to drive manual in it...
  20. Yet to be pulled over, or even had a second look. Could be due to when and where i drive, but i think its mostly because the car's bog stock. Still debating which way to go on the timing belt. Price for getting it done is good, but i wouldn't mind learning a bit and saving a little bit of money, but of course then there's the extra hassle.
  21. That's not my car is it? Well maybe not the dying turbo bit... I was thinking of doing mine myself very soon too (no idea how long ago the current one was done), but CBF paying extra for a workshop to do it (money is tight), If you want help/gofer/looker i'd be there so i can get an idea of what to do.
  22. Truth be told we tow stuff aroudn with the parents corolla. I was thinking of bigger things when i said that, but i didn't word it as such.
  23. Its not really that big. Tommorow night is supposed to be a doozy though, stay tuned
