I use the Hitman too and he recommends the FPR, big believer in fact but that would also depend on what exactly you're trying to achieve. If it's a tad over 200rwkws (say 220-230) with a small upgrade turbo on an R33, hks2530, then the FPR will give the squirters enough to get you over the line. It does give you more fuel, but you need a tune to go with it of course and someone who knows how they behave at different rev levels. The Hitman sounds very experienced in this area and i WOULD trust him if that's what he recommends. But,.....if you plan to go higher later, just get the injectors and forget the FPR cause you're going to have to anyway. I asked him ages ago about installing/tuning my HKS2535 on the R33. Told him i was considering S15 injectors. He emailed me saying forget it, they aren't much bigger, save the cash and use the FPR. Now that may be true but the choice was still mine. I wanted to switch injectors for the sake of doing it. I wanted to learn how and i did. Also i think it's a more reliable fuel solution (could be wrong) And, there wasn't as much info on the S15's and i wanted to find out for myself. Turns out they're great and think they could handle up to 270+ rwkws. If that was your goal and they were to fall short by a few cc's, then i'd add the FPR and be set So....think about future goals. It this is it for your tuning days, by all means use the FPR like Matt says and i'm sure he'll do wonders with it. If mid 200's, looking for 300 is your goal, seriously consider the upgrade to injectors now.

Agreed, shouldn't be stuffing around with Fuel Prerssure Regulators without a tuned ECU. Not worth the trouble anyway, take it off and sell it. Put the standard FPR back on and then play with your boost and see what happans.... Might clear it up

Could you gently/but forcfully tap a flat head screwdriver in there then unscrew it?
-
How do you remove a hole? I'm guessing you have the nipple piece left screwed in there. I had one too, just unscrewed it then plugged it up with another similar threaded bolt from Pirtek, $2-3 i think.

Pics pleeeez

No idea, but if you're going to do it, why not turbo?
-
I'll say, 249.7

No good dude, Quickly find a standard AFM and plug/resolder it in or get a Power FC Hopefully your tuner saves his tunes to PC Trying to think of the scaling but youll be pushing more air than the ECU realises, therefore leaning out ..yeah, think that's right....if it starts that is

F/s: S15 Injectors X6 (full Set) 440cc
Birnie replied to SexyPete's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
You searching the wrong forum, that's all. They are rare here More common on Boost Crusing and other SR20 sites, nissansilvia.com etc Seen a few sets on boost cruising in the past but that was over 6 months ago....good luck Mine are going strong on about low 80% with 245rwkws btw -
Yeah thanks, i knew about his but i would have thought 250rwkws to be conservative considering the figures thrown around these days. So a Exedy should be up to the task.....hmmmmm To spend another $500 or so plus another $400 installation is rediculous. I've got my PM response which is to remove and send it back for inspection by Exedy and then get a replacement if it's not up to scratch. How am i or anyone else suppossed to do that? Now looking at buying a second car so i can do all this bullshit. Figure out how to remove it myself and send it back. This is rediculous amounts of dollars down the toilet

I'm pretty happy Robo. Never been to the drags but might have to, to see how it goes. It's definatley got the midrange 'yeeehaarr' happenning. I've sent SLIDE a PM about my clutch issues. No idea what will happen there ? How do you prove what you have without removing it?
-
Haha, yeah i know, you told me soo. I'm happy with the punch i have now, its pretty good Only 2-3psi off your figure. Also had the spark issue and i don't wanna cough up for Splitfires.(assuming i would have had spark issues if dialing in more boost)

Supposed to be a 1200kg pressure plate but the pedal feal is softer than standard (don't know if that marries up to the pedal feal though) The box was plain white. The left bit (haha, bell housing maybe?) was not pink and i got the Cushion Button kit for 260rwkws rated. 245 and slipping ????? I would expect to be able to go higher than the rating. Who would rate clutch higher than what it can handle, you think they would under estimate to cover themselves....geeze.

Grrr, pretty psssed off right now. I'm a bit over mods and was happy to just enjoy my car. There's $440 on a under-par clutch with $400 installation down the &^%&^%ing toilet

I call shananigans. Only need to replace the FPR if your injectors run out of puff, as a cheap alternative to injector upgrades. If they are putting thru the correct amount of fuel determined by the tune, why do you need to push harder? Better off replacing the Pump for a good fuel supply, not the FPR. When you are looking at Injector upgrade which is most likely.. there are the 2 options. 1) replace the injectors or 2) replace the FPR if you aren't going to much higher. My Tuner recommened the FPR when going over the 200 towards the 250 but i still choose the injectors, cause i wanted to

Yeah sucks but i'm sure it was slipping a bit the day i had it done. Could they have made a bad adjustment somewhere on the install. Supposed to be a Exedy cushion/button capable of 260rwkws. bought thru Slide. Although nowhere on the box does it mention Exedy or on the unit itself....is that normal? They don't need to be worn in do they to grip properly? Works great thru 1/2/3rd gears, only really notice it in 4th and it's just a bit around the 4000's revs
-
didn;t need need a regulator as i had replacement injectors (s15's) Gap was copper 0.8mm and i tapped em a bit closer to about 0.75 which were new the day b4 the tune. Running standard coils but in top condition, hitman says looks like new. Anyway, had the coil failure symptoms, we ripped the plugs out, down to 0.65 (SyndeyKid has recommended the same settings as a cheap fix)....no more popping ! Couldn't believe it !

there's a DIY section full of all sorts of goodies : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hp?showforum=57 (current 1st post has alot to do with the old AFM) And a bit more specific which may help : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;hl=afm+clean*

Yeah, prolly right. oops Ha, just noticed your squirrel balls ! Damn! Times like those when a 30cm ruler would come in handy, flickk!!!..... Never seen a cross eyed squirrel before but that would do it i reckon.

Suggestion To The Moderators
Birnie replied to TTT's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
You're always gunna have people less experienced than yourself asking apparent silly questions. Part of life and this forum...and the learning experience i plead not guilty to the above but have asked dumb stuff in the past. I think a 'Ban' is a bit exsessive. Just don't read it. Every question must look a bit stupid to someone like Nismoid31 or SydneyKid but the still have the patience to give advice or point them in the right direction. Have a beer and put your feet up Take a deeeep breath, count to 10.....(1..2...3...) ahhh, thats better -
I got a complete/full tune. Plus the plugs gapped down. Ah, now i remember he said it was a girl so you're Anton? Definately not you then Moonie? Moonar? Can't remember.Doh !

The new clutch is a button/cushion job. Only about 1 month old. I'm SURE it;s slipping in 4th and it's starting to annnoy me Are there any adjustments you can make to clutches to make em bite harder without removing them? How can it be slipping already ! And i haven't been treating it bad. The old commuting with a WOT every now and then. But i was suspicious of slipping the day after it was fitted. The lag is nothing really. I'm not on the North Shore for work anymore. Send me a PM if you want to meet up somewhere (seeing you have been keeping up with my progress ) Spins in 2nd but not too bad...i have 255's on the back though so that probably helps but the power deliver is nice and smooth, it's not a freegan bang! It's a woooooooaaaahhhhhh !!! hehe 205's !! Just remember you can only get the 2535 2nd hand so that does carry it's risks. But, there is no doubt the GT-RS is the far superior turbo in every way, just more expensive. S15's are a DEFINATE direct fit. Put them in myself and it was easy as.... Thanks Moonus, The Hitman mentioned you i think? definately moon-something. Did you used to have this turbo?

If you check the DIY section on the injectors, it's step by step. definately worth a crack. Also, someone quoted in there they previously had a workshop quote for $350 to replace em! Woah ! So the prices will vary as you shop around. I'll do it for $200..tehe
