  1. Yeah man thats right. Be patient and you can have both cars with the house. Buy your property and consolidate the gtr into the loan and it will cost you f all.
  2. Good thread man, Im enjoying the read. If your keen on a GTR then get one when the times right. I started with a gtt, was in a similar dilemma as you as my gtt lost compression and needed a rebuild. My dream was to always have a r34 GTR and the money I didn't spend rebuilding the gtt went to the Nur spec I bought 5 years ago. Needless to say, I still own the gtt and has been sitting in the garage for 5 years collecting dust. I may rebuild the motor this year and turn it into a track car. My advise, get your house, keep the gtst (evem if the motor blows), get a GTR, all in good time though. Never sacrifice quality of life for a car. As you can see the more you 'play' with them the more problems you have. Build your life first and the cars will come.
  3. Oh nice. Na racepace didn't recommend any of those exhausts as they believe they are too restrictive. I went for the full turbo back system custom fabricated in stainless steel, 4 inch. Its a proper straight through 4in. The front pipe is the same design as the mines gtr (tuned length i believe). Honestly i was a bit hesitant at first and thats why it was the last thing done to my build. The exhaust however is a work of art and it didn't just make more top end power but response also improved and made the power come on more linearly. Im very happy with it.
  4. Thanks mate yeah it really is an awesome exhaust. Very unique and not well known to a lot of people, I would always get compliments on the sound. What setup did your friend have? I gained 65kw changing to the race pace exhaust. I was very reluctant to change as I love the sound so much, so it was left to the very end. With -5 and 2.8 if maxed out at 330kw. Changed to race pace and it jumped to 395kw.
  5. Parts are located in Melbourne. Prefer local sale but lets see how we go Sizes are 3.25in on the Ganador exhaust. Free decat chucked in as well lol 80mm for the Midori front pipes Comfortably supported 330kw at the wheels. Reason for selling is because I went to a custom 4in racepace exhaust
  6. Dont waste your money on an inferior Ti Tomie expreme when you can have the best Ti quality exhaust on the market for a low price of $1500. No drone, stock sound when below 4k, enjoy the different tones as it moves up the rev range. Then when on WOT this thing absolutely screams like an f1 car. People on the street will think there world is about to end when you fly past them, destroying there eardrums at the same time. Over $3000 when new. Proper quality titanium with a very unique sound. You wont have any problem with the cops when cruising around town with this thing. One small ding as you can see in pics, nothing to worry about. $1500 Midori Ti front pipe. Needs no explanation. Been on the car for approx 5000km. Still new condition. $900
  7. I can vouch for the ganador exhuast. Awesome bit of gear! When below 4000 rpm not much louder than stock, no droning and when you put your foot down it just screams like a ferrari! Very unique sound for an RB
  8. Yeah i hear there a real pita to work on. Havnt seen a good one on the road in years!!

It would be a bad move wanting to take it to court and i think most lawyers will advise against it. Stick with option two and you only lose your licence once you have paid the fine. You can get upto 3 extentions on your fine but you have to call them before the payment is due. So atleast you can extend it by four months before you lose your licence, which would probably help a little. Then Just suck it up and take taxi/public transport or whatever
  10. Very good! Ive been going there for years
  11. Were are u located? With my gtt i got it done at chasers in west melbourne for around $800 installed and tuned
  12. Just get a nistune, nice and cheap and for your mods will be plenty enough
  13. I know a guy thats been racing stock series 7 or 8 rx7's for years at targa and club days and never had any reliability issues. All comes down to how well they have been maintained and luck. How much would it cost to rebuild a rotary anyway?
  14. Great stuff Terry! Thanks for sharing
  15. Yeah I hope so, will be good to see how far it will go. Next motor is looking good mate. Should be a lot of fun! Will you build up the motor at all at some time? Would be interesting to see compression results after each track day with a built motor
  16. Hey Roy yeah i didnt even think to mention what pads they were front and rear lol. It is squirmy when cold under hard braking and improves slightly when hot under hard braking only. ie on the limit of abs kicking in. The squirm is very manageable and doesnt feel like its going to come out on me like Ash mentioned. At one of the drive days I had an instructor with me in the car and he thinks there is too much rear braking causing it.
  17. Hey mate Its interesting seeing how long the stock gtr motor will last. They dont seem to hold up very well on the track at all in stock form and require a lot of money and someone who knows how to build them to get them reliable on the track. I don't recommend anyone tracking there gtr unless they have a properly built motor otherwise its just a matter of time before it lets go, as you can see from the results from your thread. I think you have been a bit lucky and smart (by holding the revs back) that your motor has lasted this long. I think this thread is a good lesson to first time gtr owners who want to go to the track. So whats the specs on the new motor?
