  1. I really like the idea of a lip around the back of the bench. I lose so much shit over the back when i am bashing stuff in the vice
  2. Have you had a look at the lines the trainer used when running your car around? Any significant differences? nice meeting you out there too.
  3. nah s13 chockful of random 14, 15 and r32 bits and r34 too, forgot about the brakes...
  4. it's an s15 abs bm50 so no external valve unfortunately
  5. Just wondering because i am about to get my BMC rebuilt on the track car. can i get the master modified so there is no factory front/rear bias and run an in cabin adjuster for the rears or does it just not work? Is it worth it for a hack like me who will just set it and forget it? If so, who can do this work in Sydney and recommendations on an in cabin adjuster brand.

  7. The stiffer the sidewall, the higher the spring rate So for example a semi might like 6/5, and a slick might like 7/6 (these are ball parks). Personally i wouldn't run more than a 5 on the rear on semis, possibly less if the car is stripped because most of the weight comes out of the rear half of the car.
  8. for that type of tyre i wouldn't run more than 5f/4r
  9. bilstein front inserts and rear replacement shocks with circlip height adjustment. The eibach springs will do the job, though i'd need to research more on them to see if the rates are suitable for track. You also need to specify the type of tyre you plan on running. The problem with the stock s chassis front end is you can't play with the height significantly. You may need to go a custom coilover front that utilises the bilstein inserts, this reduces tyre to struct clearance so you will have to check you have room with your current wheels. You'll also need a camber top for the front to gain sufficient camber for track work. All up you're probably looking at closer to 15-1600 by the time you get everything together using the bilsteins.
  10. http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-car-...owered-mx5.html It's been done. Bit of custom work involved but nothing over the top. I would do it a bit differently Or the easy way http://www.miatasr20.com/
  11. yeah. I previously ran 2 different rb20 clutch and flywheel combos on my rb25
  12. cheaper/better just sticking an sr in it....
  13. oops, there was a 32 wrapped around a pole out my way last night, figured it was the same one.
  14. Half the fun of NA track cars is making them horribly loud. Mine was the same, all noise, no fast. People still remember it though.
  15. Don't be stupid. The government needs that revenue to implement a new ticketing system for our inadequate public transport system and make more cycle lanes for the .01% of the population that rides to work. Heaven forbid they invest it back into something useful like roads and infrastructure or effective oversight of a known dodgy industry...
  16. creative interpretation: The original firewall is still in it's original position, you have just enlarged the transmission tunnel....
  17. We all know they do something extra for roy... I'm running the 310mm scr pros and really can't fault them. I've gone through a set of HC+ and SBS carbon ceramics and the rotors still have a lot of meat on them with minimal lip.
  18. I lol'd. You're slipping liz Anyway, paid. Now to see if i can manage a respectable time with the extra 160 odd rwkw, new brakes and new tyres.
  19. I'm a 99% chance of going to this one. Bit of a tight time frame to do what i wanted with the car but shit happens. I wanted to do the SAU day but unfortunately it clashes with other stuff.
  20. gimme 5 bags of cement, a few pies and a f**k load of coke and hookers. You can keep your fancy aero
  21. You can wire them straight to the ecu, just dig out the pin out diagram and find the knock sensor pins. There's only a single wire off each sensor to hook up.
  22. 2 hours into cleaning, still a shit fight. I just don't have enough storage space. The track car normally lives where i'm standing, street car on the back slab. On the plus side, when it's clean i have a nice open well lit area for working on stuff.
  23. i was lucky enough to get out there for the last pro session to see quite a few of the fastest laps. Very very impressive. I think i'm in love with the panspeed rx7 now. It was incredibly tidy through 9,10 and 11. And sounded porn too.
  24. Well they aren't camber adjustable on a 32 either, thats the upper control arms job. Sound like a waste of money.
