  1. Adrian is right. Synthetic is not a recommended run in oil. These 2.7 and HKS 2.8 kits are ok for drag purposes and perhaps if they kit if cheap, go for it instead of your plain forged but until it gets to the OS Giken 3.0 litre set, I doubt that there's that much difference. Maybe a bit more meaty torque in the middle? T.
  2. Motorcycles and leaded cars do not have to comply to certain noise or emissions levels. eg. motorcycles do not need cats. Of course this is one rule for them, one rule for us but who makes the rules? T.
  3. Party is at Panthers I gather T.
  4. This is an ongoing concern with the RB - look up 'snap, crackle, pop' in search or try mine: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=40448 Define horrid consumption? Something like 250-300km per tank is pretty horrid. T.
  5. These cars are at a different price level. $200,000 for a local NSX - always been close to twice the price of a GT-R. But it's not twice the car much like a Ferrari is not twice as good as a NSX. T.
  6. In a typical run of small cars... eg. Accent, Corolla etc. - they can expect 40,000-50,000 per year. Now how many do Skylines do you see? My point is that for a cheap performance car (ie. I expect R34 GTt to be under $40,000) - is it surprising you don't see more! How many Honda Preludes, Toyota Celicas or locally sold coupes do you see? T.
  7. Put it this way... Say $75,000 budget. Will get you a 1999 R34 GT-R V-Spec. OR a 1992/3 NSX 3.0 litre, perhaps a Type-R? I'd wouldn't be betting on the 10-11 year old car. T.
  8. Bp98 and Synergy thanks. I only use Optimax if I have some 4c off shopper dockets. Vortex at a pinch. T.
  9. Black R34 GT-R. Thompson's Corner RUFGTR T.

  11. I wonder if you have get small metal rods you see on some OEM cars that reins in that extra width? T.
  12. picsorban T.
  13. H1, H4 etc. is the light socket type. eg. battery AA, D, C etc. T.
  14. In every market on the planet except for the US, the NSX is a very overpriced machine - the engine is at the limit to produce the power to do 5 sec 0-100 and 13 sec quarters. The GT-R is an understressed motor that is at it's LOWEST state of tune to produce similar numbers. The NSX is not a tuning, modding car unlike Skylines. It is not 4wd and will not produce the all round performance of a Skyline. It is a rare car though. T.
  15. If you're willing to buy ex-US, $400 is possible. T.
  16. RB25/26 bore = 86mm RB20 bore = 78mm End of discussion. T.
  17. Yeah but who would believe a Magna can take an XR6T and an SS in a straight line? :bs!: T.
  18. Unbelieveable. If you can decipher the build sheet, you're old sk00l! T.
  19. pix? Are the 52mm holes pre cut? T.
  20. So what the fuc| Unfortunately the genuine buyers are rare and the habibs who wanna waste your time and be test pilots is many. T.
  21. How come their year has 10 months and not 12 like the rest of the planet? T.
  22. I prefer the white 32/33/34 cars with the black lips, inserts, underbody trays, wings. And bronze rims. Gives it that contrast. T.
