  1. Pretty sure this is michael knowling... T.
  2. Had a 30sec chat - these don't go into an RB25DET... :-( T.
  3. Ask about the Club P1 QF as well - gun metallic. I prefer gold/bronze but they do not exist. Now if I didn't have to do a rebuild... T.
  4. I need a set of 87mm pistons + the 87mm head gasket. These slot straight in with the standard conrods? Or do I need some conrods? I'd like to go down to 8.5:1 as I plan to run slightly more boost. T.
  5. Paul Stokell drives the Diablo SV. Richards has the Porsche GT3 from memory. The turbo model is not allowed. T.
  6. This thing would cane the hell out of stokell and richards and all the other nations cup drivers. No wonder they wanted to ban this! T.
  7. http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/RacingSparcoNTR.jpg These are the ones I like and can afford. 17 x 9 max size in bronze or gunmetal and cast which worries me a bit given they are so thin. Not bad hey... T.
  8. I like the Buddy Club P1 QF in gun metal but they are hugely expensive being forged. The plain P1 isn't bad but it looks a little OEM to me. The other ones I like are the Sparco NT-R. But they are cast and they're only 17x9 max (good enough). T.
  9. What about Premiere Auto in Mt. Druitt? Yes I know, Mt. Druitt is somewhere a lot of you guys have prob. never been. 4wd dyno for $40 last time. Hopefully my car will be ready... Humbla I have Redline in my car from CRD, I walked in paid $100 and that's it. T.
  10. You realise that none of the Japanese make their own injectors? They are largely all Denso. I agree with Sydneykid, in general the Japanese often outsource their parts and charge a premium. Whether Toda do this I can't say but to say that it's not a common practice because Toda do not do it is short sighted. T.
  11. Depends on the extent of the spray. If it's different colour + you want an engine bay spray and even boot etc. etc. Can be upwards of $6,000-7,000... Same colour and just say most of the car is ok AND it's a flat colour (non-metallic) you can be looking at as low as $2,000. I've been told that if the large surfaces (ie. bonnet, roof) are ok - could be a fair bit less. Guys who say $1,500 is perhaps getting on the dodgee side. Unfortunately mine is spark silver and it's gonna cost an arm and a leg. T.
  12. The above rims are VERY expensive. Buddy clubs are $5,000? GT-R rims are always CLASS. Volks you know how expensive they are. It is a bit unfair that you compare rims that are thousands to a cheap set of $1,200 rims. But again no-one said SAU did not have expensive tastes T.
  13. Bet your arse I'll be looking for this. I'm kinda glad my 33 is in the garage - Brendan would understand T.
  14. You gotta have some balls to rip off a bright yellow skyline with such distinctive plates. I work in Silverwater and this is worrying me... T.
  15. They look ok - don't exactly give me wood unlike a lotta Japanese rims. At $340 I'd be looking at something else but taste is a individual thing is it not? T.
  16. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=18146 These are usually available from any Nissan dealer. T.
  17. Everytime I go to a Nissan dealer for enquires they seem to bump up the price because you have a Skyline. There's only one I've been to so far which is reasonable. Seriously the dealer may see a Skyline once every six months. I wouldn't trust someone with so little exposure to Skylines. The guys I take my Skyline to are experts. They see a couple a week - GUARANTEED. The rundown is: Belts = $200 Water pump = $80 (VL Commodore) Labour = $300 max. T.
  18. RB25 drops straight in. Best thing you can do for yourself is to find a local Skyline specialist who has done this and gasbag with them. There are LOTS in Sydney. T.
  19. My car does this now too. Lots of cars do this. It's strange but it does no harm. T.
  20. Haven't you got an Apex FC now? T.
  21. Those guys don't know shit. It's 2.5 hours max. I had all belts changed + water pump and it was 2 hours. 1.5 hours is possible if your guys have some race skills. And I was charged less than half that. The moral of the story is that you take it to Skyline specialists. T.
  22. I need new pistons. I'm thinking about either forged pistons or GT-R pistons. Now while I have the opportunity, I'd like to get pistons that lower the compression ratio from 9.0:1 standard to something like 8.5:1 - but I do not know the affects. Of course I know that lower comp. means you can run higher boost and maybe less octane rated petrol but is there any bad points? Less off boost power? Lower fuel efficiency? Also where may I get GT-R pistons, perhaps even N1 class pistons? Preferably new. I'm not hung up on 'forged' pistons. This is a streetable car after all... T.
  23. Anyone going for this? T.
  24. What happened to the r33 GTSt? T.
  25. But get this... the Cusco has a clear tube that shows oil capacity. Mine is speckled with oil. So I think there might be some oil in there... T.
