  1. If you add up the cost, doesn't it go way past $10,000 for that ~250rwkW??? T.
  2. It depends on what you want your car to do. I seriously doubt I'll need for more than ~230rwkW as a day to day car. 250rwkW+ sounds like more a drag machine. So after the next round of fuel system/intake upgrades, that should be it. T.
  3. It depends... I'm sure you could spend upwards of $3,000 fixing up the standard turbo two trim wheel sizes on exhaust and intake but it comes to a point where a 2530 or GT30 or whatever is a better choice. T.
  4. HKS GT2530. There's no argument there. This one is the goods. Just need T28 adapter plate. T.
  5. You can always d/l the Apex'i manual and bore yourself to death... T.
  6. I agree with Ed here. Good reports on the Wolf and it has a good rep. on the 300zx. It is a closed loop unit (better check this!) so it doesn't have the problems that plague the Microtech. T.
  7. The AVC-R and HC in my car are independent systems. The boost on the HC non functional. But there are some systems replicated on both. T.
  8. The differences tend to be that the S2 has more features as standard. ie. dual bags, abs, struts bars? The appointments are slightly diff. like fittings, lights, bars. The bottom line is that there is nothing essentially different in a '93 to a '95 to a '96 (unlike say a VT or EA etc.) T.
  9. There's lots of examples where people get upset when they're asked to prove what they say. Fair enough. But credibility costs and dyno sheets at least prove it in black and white. T.
  10. I think the problem with drilling out injectors is getting it done properly. Like any sort of work, quality is everything. With new injectors you're guaranteed that, no? It was my impression that new side feed RB25DET injectors were available for well under $200. T.
  11. Hmmm... Thanks man. I'll see how it goes here first. T.
  12. On the face of it, $300 for a z32 is not too bad. Think of it this way, every z32 you get is off a written off 300zx. A q45 unit is even more rare. T.
  13. Why not stick a resistor* (???) across the sensor wire to reduce the voltage or something like that? Also the z32 is 80mm vs. the 70mm of the standard unit. T. * sorry I did not pass electronics at uni
  14. Start talking turbos and spool rates and everybody gets their panties in a bunch... T.
  15. HICAS light on means a fault. It should never come on. Get it checked. btw. What is the diff. btw. S1 and S2? What is a Type-M? And where might I get insurance? :shake: T.
  16. At $150 apeice I would get new injectors. T.
  17. As above preferably in silver. Pickup in Syd. T.
  18. Greddy E-Manage? Piggyback should be ok? T.
  19. Chapel St. Bankstown. Auburn and Penrith Macca's Br0! T.
  20. There are a few s13 silvias running around with rb20det transplants. It does affect handling. I wouldn't do it to an s14 though. T.
  21. I'd be lucky if I see one other 33 on the road a day. If I see a Skyline equal chance it'll be a 33 OR either a 32 or 34. How many Commos or whatever do you see? T.
  22. Definitely a lot of good info here. Before you spend upwards of $1,500 doing all this stuff it's best to be aware of what you get for your money. Everytime I open my engine bay I wanna puke so if it fixes that well then fine. T.
  23. Mr. Munro has a Evo 7 + three GT-R's. It obviously will not have the guts of the GT-R but handling of the EVO is better out of the box (for late EVO models at least). T.
  24. LOL you guys crack me up. I'm getting a new AFM so I'll see how that goes. Mine happens if I give it a heap (say 5,000rpm+) and then suddenly come off the power and the thing dips to 500rpm and then dies. It is apparently the AFM wire being cooled suddenly by air 'backwash'. Will the z32 cure it? Stay tuned... T.
  25. The GT-R one would also negate the need for expensive injectors, fuel rails etc. You just have to find one. This is assuming it bolts right on. I really don't know. T.
