  1. I don't think they were accused of cheating. Just caught a lot of the classic guys off guard
  2. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Legacy-Assist/133168120082522
  3. everyone is wondering were the speed in the team legacy car came from. Between high country and wrest point he's picked up 2+ secs a km
  4. Testament to a good YT cage. Driver spent a night in hospital (took his HANS off in the morning cause it was too uncomfortable), and the nav has a broken pelvis. But the doors still open and close! I'd hate to think what shape they'd be in with a shitty TMR bolt in cage.
  5. i hope wrest point knows kel's coming, otherwise there won't be any drinks for the rest of us
  6. Not sure if Dad will run Targa this year, he really needs a new knee asap so he will probably be out of action during Targa. If he runs it will be in the STI.
  7. The 33 and 34 tank is very similar. When I ran the R33 with Dad we never had a fuel surge issue. Without a swirlpot, that extra 12l in the R32 tank is useless when your on the track
  8. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even have a swirl pot
  9. Jeff Beable gets through Targa on E85 with a std R34 tank. You would be fine with a 72l R32 tank, and a swirl pot to prevent fuel surge.
  10. I've been working on the car but forgetting to update the thread, the car is currently on jack stands with the engine out. I just sent the shocks off for a revalve, and I shoudl have the engine back together this weekend.
  11. Any RB head can run VCT, but 20's and 26's need the head modified to make it work. Janges is right, bigger is not always better on the intake size. The correct size is always better. Any reason you want to run a solid head? Brad has been reliably running 1000hp on a hydro head.
  12. From what i've read the weak point of a VQ is the valve train, they start dropping valves at 7500+. But at the end of the day it's not a big job or huge expense to upgrade the valve springs.
  13. why not use a VQ35 non HR? They seem to have much more after market support, and not many people seem to like the HR's for modifying. Where would you put the turbo's? putting them infront of the engine (like most people) would be less than ideal for weight distro. I'm not a fan of SR tractor engines, VQ is the go.
  14. There hasn't been much noise in the media about Wrest Point which is only a week away. I saw via Just Jap that quinny has a chocolate car now.
  15. I think this year will be the year of mr consistancy Hirvenin. Ogier and Latvala will spend most of the year in the scenery. It's a little sad that the only way Loab can be beaten is by him leaving, i'm sure he'll win all 4 rounds he enters By the looks of it the broadcast is only going to be on speed channel, so i'll just keep downloading the epps.
  16. There is a loop hole for the spirit, if you cover your trailer in and call it a "caravan" it knocks $200 off in each direction.
  17. can't afford to employ cops down here.
  18. The Spirit is a joke, $89 for a car or $600 for a car and trailer! It locks us out of the cheaper mainland events.
  19. I find it funny one of the reasons they are going to a control tyre, is because of the 'special' tyres that some teams have allegedly been given when Yokohama were the ones accused of doing it.
  20. I've entered the little RB20 in Targa Tas again this year. I should have the engine back in it within the next couple of weeks. Hopfully then I should be able to do some decent testing for the first time in 3 years. I'm heading down to Wrest Point in a couple of weeks to crew for the car Damo is navigating in.
  21. Decent shocks were the best thing I bought for my car. The difference is night and day as far as consistency and tuneability with a good remote canister shock compated to a good normal shock. IMO you would be better with less engine and more shock/tire.

    Damn Hot Huh?

A lot of boat owners in Hobart are taking supplies in to the people that stayed to defend their property.
  23. I'll keep on with the pushlock fittings, but i'll replace the sus one with a speedflow one. I'm still waiting for my bearings to arrive, they are made in Launceston by ACL, shipped to the mainland, then bought back.
  24. I was looking back through this for some info, and I came across this. Fun fact, a GT-R swaybar does fit on a Gtst. I don't run one, but I recently fitted one up to another Gtst.
  25. Does GRM build it's own engines, or do they use customer engines? Do the 4 VN pumps pick up from different locations to prevent fuel surge, or are they just used to flow more? Are you going to race it in the Shannons Nationals?
