  1. Can you run a R32 gtst or gtr bov? i've got one of each laying around. Why don't the m35 ones last, when it's not an issue on a 20 year old r32.
  2. My car has the super hectik vl fluttaz, but I can't work out why. I just assumed it was an a/m bov, and never got round to looking at it.....until my turbo blew. I've pulled the BOV off and checked all the lines to make sure someone hadn't blocked them for teh fluttaz. Do the BOV's fail very often?
  3. has it seen the track with it's 300kw?
  4. speaking of scared, when are you going to take the box a boomerangs off your car and run it again?
  5. You can run on a VicRoads permit. It's only like $50, all they need is a vin.
  6. The roads are like goat tracks, and in bad repair. There is a couple of good stages, but all the High Country stages are in good condition, and enjoyable to drive. I've been on a lot of the Wrest Point stages back when they were last run in Targa 07, and I wasn't a fan. You might have to look at privately leasing a car, as I think most of the lease cars are NA cars.
  7. From the people I've spoken too, the general consensus is that High Country is the best of the 2 day events. Dad has done Wrest Point and High Country, and he said he wouldn't bother with Wrest Point again, the roads are pretty average.
  8. Pretty sure thats right. The inside of a series 2 door looks like a corricated iron roof on the back of the outer skin
  9. With an R32 it's 100x easier to get some series 1 doors than drill the bars out. I've got a feeling they are made out of thinner steel too, as there is 10kg a door difference between s1 and s2
  10. my car is 1212kg with 30l of fuel.
  11. don't the 2012 regs read that you must leave a car width available? Hamilton drove Maldenardo off the track, and Maldenardo hit him. IMO they both should get a penalty
  12. Has anyone fitted a tow bar with an Axis rear bar? Just wondering what it looks like

    Moving To Hobart

rego is much cheaper over here
  14. Good to see you got the coverage you deserved. Doing the Skylines proud!
  15. isn't the yellow flag the go faster flag?
  16. pretty sure it's running a v8 supercar 4 link rearend with ohlins coil overs
  17. Time for a sump. And put a 1 way valve on the catch can return line (remove the spring form the valve), if you don't the entire contents of your sump will be all over your engine bay.
  18. If it wasn't for DRS Hamilton probably wouldn't have won the race, cause he never would have passed Alonso after the pit stops. a faster car should have to pass a slower car because it's faster, not because it's got a button on the dash. If it's so much faster, what is it doing behind the slower car to start with?
  19. I tested the speedo on my car and found it was pretty much perfect to 80km/h, above that it reads 10% fast. Cause it's not a linier fault, i'm guessing the ECU is being gay.
  20. 3bond! it's the gasket of champions!
  21. are you sure you weren't in with Matt Close in the Audi TTRS at Targa Tasmania with a case of Understeer of fail?
  22. FJ20 is smaller, lighter, ferther back, and has 1 extra cam.
  23. Be interested to see how the DR goes. I'm still keeping an eye out for a cheap one
  24. stop fiddeling with it now, time to flog the guts out of it
  25. I'd say its the turbo. they are only a 450hp turbo arn't they? The way the boost trails off means the engine is taking more air than the turbo can produce. If you have a smart enough boost controller you can get around it. But the turbo will hate life
