  2. i've got the oil pump appart on my bench now, i'll put some pics up tonight. I got mine from my tuner, but i know spool sell them too.
  3. e85 all the way. Yep I got some of that good VHT alloy in a can, it's now super light. Why people paint their blocks black is beond me, it's 1000x easier to work on a light engine, cause you can see what your doing.

  8. Wrong heat range plugs, tip fell off and went through the engine. But after I pulled it down, it was apparent it was a time bomb. The machinest didn't seat the valves properly, and some were leaking, and the Bearings were very warn. Looks like it was a very high km engine
  9. I just used my DET pistons from my original engine.
  10. standard RB20. It's just a stock RB20 with a nose on the crank, and ACL bearings
  11. started putting the engine back together today. Factory Nissan rings are great, none of them needed regapping.
  12. You have to take into account that most places have a much longer lap than 59 secs Timmah. So it would take a little longer to get bored

  16. Apparently the temp has gone up in the last 10 mins! Might have to rig a water injection system into my fan

  17. Green rubber is worth about 0.5 secs a km compared to slighlty used rubber. So to go from shagged rubber to greens would be worth 1-1.5 secs a km. A lot of the crews for the top teams fly between stages at warp 11. YT's big silverado thing must be the fastest in the world.

  20. Another thought, how many teams will have their spare tyres carried in tyre warmers? The rules say it's not allowed, but I can't see it being possable to police.
  21. I think they should data dot all tyres, and have them checked at the start of every stage. Just like they check your helmets and lights... Etc If you are only looking after 1 car, you can see your car at the start and finish of 70% of the stages. No need for choppers.
  22. I agree woo. It's going to be hard/impossable to police people checking in say 8 x m's, but have crews with s's on board to swap straight after stages. With 8 tyres it's now a 600km sprint for the cat7+ cars. The cost is the main killer though, I know a lot of people only own 6 rims on the same size, so it's not only extra in tyres, it's more money on rims. It's easy to say "just run 4 or 6 tyres", but if you want to attempt to be compeditive you will need 8 tyres. I know it was bad enough last year with accusations flying about people running 7-8 tyres when it wasn't normal to see cars up in the air.
  23. I won't be surprised to see people use up all 8 tyres gambeling on softer compounds, and/or being able to go flatout without thinking about tyre wear.
  24. Just looking through the supp regs, looks like corner cutting is out again.
  25. I had thought about air jacks, but I don't think they would work for a rally car very well. Much easier to yell at your crew to jack faster I've been told the gtir's can be pretty hard to drive cause their wheelbase is so short, and they love smashing gearboxes.
