  1. I thought I read somwhere that Nissan had a 4.6l &5.0l version of their quad cam
  2. Yeah Scott we did 60 - 70 laps of Baskers on Sat.
  3. yep we are on smoothline too, only on the medalian. How much more info is in the trophy notes? I'm using 1-10 instead of 1-6, so i'm hoping it won't take too long to get my head around the different numbers. after we ran the car on the weekend, i'm feeling a lot better as far as prep time goes. But dad blew the turbo on his Subie, and one of the turbo's on the GTR at the V8's last weekend.
  4. I hear Holwell is going to be scary, the big straight which used to have 2 chicanes is now unrestricted. Should be some massive air at the end.
  5. yep, the car is about 1 - 1.5 secs a lap quicker than when I was there last year
  6. I took the car out to Baskerville on the weekend and did 60 - 70 laps of testing, and shock setup. The super sump appears to have done the job, as oil pressure was consistant all day. The only problem was oil temp, but i've already got a cooler sitting ready to install. The revalving of the shocks has made the car heaps better, I have so much more confidence in what it's doing now.
  7. Started running it in on the weekend, and it's getting tuned on Wed.
  8. The engine finally fired into life last night. I only ran it long enough to make sure it had good oil pressure. I'll take it for it's first run-in run on Friday night. The shocks are still off getting revalved, so we found some odds and ends laying around, and put them in the car so I can run it in. Damo has modified the navigators seat, it's now about 60mm lower that it was before.
  9. Did you wire a fuel pressure sensor back into the ecu or dash?
  10. car still isn't going, hoping to smash it together and running it at baskerville on the weekend. And it was annouced at the GP that your frogmobile made 195fwkw
  11. You heading to the track this weekend Roy?
  12. I tried to go to the irish pub on chappel st a few years ago on st patricks day. There was a line around the block
  13. We want to know how many killofrogs it's got
  14. The TPS has 2 sets of wires, one is the throttle signal, and the other is the idle switch. Your idle switch is cut, so your car will idle like shit. Also is the TPS isn't adjusted properly, the idle switch will never activate.
  15. it was justjap from memory
  16. Engine is almost ready to go in. Frankensump installed
  17. We run 3 bond on ours now. the standard ones are expensive, and a pain to remove. stands upto 23 psi fine
  18. you might be able to make them fast, but they are still ugley.
  19. Danica is hotter and punches more people.
  20. I think the DR30 would be a better thing, better engine, and you could probbaly get it down close to the 1000kg mark. Biggest problem is how hard they are to work on, those single turbo VG30's are a pain to work on. In other news I finally got my footage from Southern Cross from Targa 2011.....But it has no sound!
  21. never met her, but i've got it on good authority that she's hot
  22. will your sister be making the sammiches?
  23. flow is the same, and the pressure is regulated by the spring. A N1 pump will gave you 110psi oil pressure, i'm going to play with some springs to get it around 75psi. The only way to increase flow is to put bigger wheels in, which needs a diferent housing. The gears just make a N1 pump strong. I've got no idea where my gears are sourced from, but they are just a billet version of the N1 gears (N1 is powerdered steel)
  24. here is the oil pump. Remove the 8 screws off the back with an impact driver. remove the cover. remove the inner gear. remove the outer gear reverse steps to put back together.
